The Golem Mage

Chapter 348: Happy New year!.

The Captain, who had schemed from the shadows, hoped that Alec and his Gang would be able to divert the attention of the Root and Orc chief for a long time till his army was able to take steal the mine veins

He levitated in the skies as he watched the group of human mages, whom he had entrusted with claiming the mines veins to, faced off against two different races of the Abyss.

The humans mages seems to possessed superior firepower and was quickly overwhelming the Orcs and Root plant army that was stationed around the mines.

Although he hovered in the skies just above them, the mages below remained oblivious to his presence.

The Captain had arrived on the battlefield after cloaking himself with a spell called wind veil, rendering him invisible to every Mage below his realm except he made a big move.

Despite sending his best team, he couldn't bear waiting in the academy city base for news.

This impatience led him to come directly to witness how they would conquer the mine on his behalf.

However, things took an unforeseen turn when the Shaman of the Orc villages caused a tremendous explosion.

The Captain couldn't comprehend how the shaman had achieved it, but it was evident that the shaman had anticipated such an event of the humans attacking them again to have set up such a platform to cause an explosion.

The explosion not only alerted the Orc chief that was still hell bent on getting Alec but also reached the nearby Mid Rank villages, all of whom heard the blast. Discover exclusive tales on My Virtual Library Empire

"Shit!" the Captain cursed his ill luck.

Desperate to conceal his aura, he even held his breath for a moment, sensing the mental powers of different Tier 6 Orcs of the Mid Tier villages nearby that were scanning the area like a surveillance team.

As they sought to understand what was happening, they soon realized it was merely a battle between Tier 3 human mages, Orcs, and plant lifeforms.

And Since the power level of their opponents did not exceed the Orcs own realm, the Tier 6 Orcs decided not to involve themselves in the fight.

To them, as long as the power level of the opposing race member was not above their juniors own realm, they would not involve themselves in such a battle.

After all, they wanted their lower rank members to fight and gain experience, If they were to be slaughtered by those of the same realm, they hoped that the survivors would be able to awaken some part of their berserk bloodline.

This way, they would be able to seek revenge with a single-minded motive gaining strength faster.

The leaders of the Abyss believed that their potentials were only awakened when their younglings faced life and death situations.

Therefore, unless it was absolutely necessary or the races of the second Dimension were being bullied by human mages with higher numbers or higher realms, there was no way they would even stress themselves to kill a couple of low-ranking human mages.

The captain blew a breath of relief when he realized that they had not been able to notice him, the mine that was hidden in the cave or any of the Tier 4 mages who had been hiding and biding their time a few meters away from the mine's location.

Just as he was about to order the Tier 4 mages in hiding to join the fight since there was no longer any mental energy from the Orcs searching, he saw the two groups of Orc wolf riders being led by the Orc chief, Thrall, and the rest of the Root plant army, marching back.

And this time, they were not even fighting against each other; they were in some type of harmony.

"I will not allow you two peek squeaks to get in the way of my plans, just when I am so close to achieving them," the captain said as he stretched his hand forward.

Causing The wind element in the air began to gather at the top of his outstretched finger, Even the weather started to change from this simple gesture.

It was then that the captain detected about two mental auras locked onto him.

Without even unleashing his spell, he turned back in mid-air and started flying towards the direction of the academy city base, Just a few seconds after he disappeared from there...

Two streaks of light flew along the path he followed, Even those fighting on the ground could not help but stop and look at the skies.

There was only one reason such a phenomenon would occur, and that was if Tier 6 fighters were engaging in a chase.

The Tier 6 beings were the rulers of the skies in the regions of the Abyss.

If Tier 7 mages and above wanted to fight, they would have to go deeper passing the boundaries of the regions into the different kingdoms of the Abyss .

It had been forbidden for them to engage in combat in the regions as it would damage the environment, which couldn't fully contain their powers.

Coincidentally, the two streaks of light that chased the captain out of the first Orc region were from two Tier 6 Orcs.

They had suspected something was wrong at the mine location seeing such a large royal rumble and had concealed their mental energy, biding their time for any sort of reaction that they might have missed.

Unfortunately for the captain, the leaders of the Orc villages and the plant army had returned earlier than expected, making him impatient and eager to end it all quickly.

This gave the Tier 6 Orcs the opportunity to detect his magical power the moment he attempted to attack.

'Fuck!!! I have to reach the gates quickly. I am in no way a match for two Orcs of the same realm as me. I would be defeated in an instant,' the captain thought to himself as he continued to fly.

He turned back to look at his pursuers and saw that one of them had a Mohawk hairstyle and held a sword, while the second Orc had his hair braided and was covered in tribal tattoos, as He dragged along a massive spiked club through the air.

"It's been a while since I fought a human, Why not wait and let me test how much I have improved," the Mohawk-haired Orc said with a chuckle.

"As if I'm going to wait," the captain retorted, boosting his mana in hopes of reaching the academy city base region faster.

He hoped the Orcs would give up on attacking him when they reached there since they were only two of them.

However, the two Orcs continued to chase him relentlessly as if they didn't know his intentions.

"Next time, you will learn not to interfere with the matters of lower-ranking Orcs, that is if you even survive today's pursuit." The Braided hair Orc said.
