The Genjutsu Devil of Konoha

Chapter 40: The test (40)

When Seijuro got home, the first thing he did was take a shower and wash himself. Apparently, he would meet his teacher later.

So he did his hair, all the minor details really.

Made sure to eat a delicious yet very, very light meal—speaking about one singular snack—just in case the test was something gory. He didn't want to puke out his meal.

Sure, he had used illusion in the past to simulate him killing someone, in order for when he does it the first time, it isn't as heartbreaking as it's supposed to be... still, he didn't get used to that feeling yet.

Even for him, there's a difference between illusion and reality.

He would look at his reflection in the mirror, smacking his cheeks a bit.

"You got this."

Yes, he was giving himself a pep talk.

He went to bed at 8 p.m. and woke up at 5 a.m. From there, he got up, went out, did some light training—just in case.

Did a lot of stretches, like a lot of them, meditated for an hour, before going inside, taking a shower, and putting on his clothes that had been prepared for him, by himself, with everything a ninja would need.

His outfit was practically all black... (Basically think of the basic Soul Reaper outfits, like the all-black outfit.)

Then, he made his way toward the top of the academy building—the rooftop, one might say—and some may say, why there? Well, because that's where he felt the strongest chakra presence, and Mikoto's presence too, so there was that.

So, he made his way there, greeting Mikoto when he met her.

She was nice.

Then... there was Nawaki... hm, he smelled some favoritism here.

Seijuro stared at the woman in front of him.

Blonde. Beautiful. Towering. Dangerous. Boobs that defied physics.

He blinked.

"...Aren't you Tsunade Senju?"

She smirked. "Last I checked."

"That your sister?" Seijuro said, looking at Nawaki, who could be seen scratching the back of his head.

"Whatever you do, never borrow her money."

"Nawaki."

"EEP!"

Hm, their sibling relationship seemed quite nice and all.

"You graduated early too," Seijuro said, looking at Nawaki.

Nawaki puffed out his chest.

"My rival graduated early, so of course I would. Did you think I would fall behind?"

Hm, the thing was... Nawaki was already behind.

By a long shot, but oh well, not going to pop his delulu bubble.

"Do not think you are out of the woods yet. I still haven't tested you," would be the woman's harsh words.

Understandable. She still needed to determine if they were worthy or not of being taught by her.

"Heh, what do you mean? I had to fight a whole Chūnin. What do you mean I can't graduate?" Nawaki was, of course, the loudest of them.

To which Lady Tsunade would say:

"So what if you passed that test? I am a Jōnin. I decide if you pass or fail. After all, you will be under MY wings."

Hm, she did make a point. But hm, wouldn't Orochimaru be a better team leader for their group? Tsunade was like a healer who punched very hard. Speaking of which, he wouldn't mind learning that technique from her.

Could be quite useful. She was still a member of the Senju clan.

Hm, the Uchiha might try to use Mikoto... fucking politics.

But hey, he had a brain, so why not use it?

Plus, she was a medic. Perfect person to test his stuff on.

"What would our test be?" Seijuro inquired.

Tsunade, who was maybe contemplating punching her little brother, would look at the Kurama clan member before saying:

"Come to Training Ground 8."

And then she shunshined away.

He would then turn to Nawaki.

"You know your sister... what is her test about?"

He was basically asking for a guess.

"Big sis mostly fights using her fists, and if she can, she would rather resolve every argument with her fists."

Seijuro would have a thoughtful look.

So she was a straightforward person.

Aight, bet.

He would shunshin away, so would Mikoto and Nawaki.

Seijuro had a big gap between him and Mikoto; there was a small gap between Mikoto and Nawaki.

Soon enough, they arrived at the training ground. There she was, standing inside a circle.

"Oh, you finally arrived. I was beginning to think you chickened out," she would taunt.

"As if I would ever chicken out!" Nawaki would shout back.

Seijuro's gaze would look around. Hm, good.

He noticed the hourglass filled with sand.

"Your test is simple... all you have to do is make me step out of this circle. You have until the sun goes down. You are allowed to use everything you have. The test starts... now."

She would turn the hourglass, and the sand would begin to fall. Before Nawaki could blindly rush in, Seijuro would stop him.

"Use your brain, Nawaki. She is an elite Jōnin. Do you really want to engage in hand-to-hand combat with someone like her?"

Nawaki paused a bit. Yeah, that did seem not smart.

"How are we supposed to beat her if we cannot fight her?"

"I have a plan, but first—" His gaze landed on Tsunade before whispering something to his team.

30 minutes later, the team would get ready to fight.

Tsunade POV.

'What did he plan?' She actually was semi on guard for this, as she knew of this boy's Kekkei Genkai. His illusions were hella deadly, so she'd rather not be stuck in one.

And his planning was terrifying for a child, so she got ready for the worst.

Nawaki would rush at her, his hands going through some hand seals. Meanwhile, behind her, Mikoto finished running through her seals.

Bird → Snake → Monkey → Ram

"Lightning Ball"

Several lightning balls would rush at Tsunade, which did force the ninja to move around a bit in her circle in order not to get hit.

When Nawaki got close...

Slamming his hand into the ground, he would say:

"Earth Release: Earth Flow River"

The earth beneath Tsunade's feet would become like a mud river, plunging her into its depth. Tsunade, having a head on her shoulders, would jump up into the air.

'Where is he?' Her eyes were not on any of those distractions—more on the mastermind behind this plan. Where was this kid? Her chakra system was all fine, she wasn't hit, so she was fine... mostly.

She thinks.

As she landed back on the floor, Nawaki would engage her in hand-to-hand combat.

Did he not listen to what his teammate had said?

Tsunade would throw a punch. The boy would dodge under her, wrap his leg around her waist, and use his momentum in order to be on her back. He would place one of his arms around her neck, as if holding her hostage.

"Shoot it!"

He would shout...

"Fire Style... Fireball Jutsu!"

Frankly, Tsunade was disappointed... a sacrifice play... this was their plan?

Disappointed, she would take her brother off her back and throw his ass far away. As for the fireball, she would cock her fist back before—

BAM

She... punched a fireball... and won.

As she got out of the debris, she would look at the team. Then she saw him—Seijuro.

"If this was your plan to defeat me, try again. I am not as easy to trick as some Genin."

"Oh... my objective was never to defeat you... my goal was the objective."

Tsunade would look at him, then down. Her feet—she was outside the circle.

Wait what?

She made sure she landed inside the circle.

It then clicked.

Her attention was on him the whole time; she didn't even notice what he was doing. First, Mikoto using those lightning balls to distract her, the mud jutsu Nawaki used was to erase the circle she made. She was so laser-focused on him, she didn't see that.

And while the circle was destroyed, that's when he cast his illusion—making her think the circle was a bit to the left, having her land there, where in reality... she moved outside of it.

Clever.

A/N Tsunade cannot be a love interest, and if she is, that mean the Gojo story can't happen as she is the love interest there, at best I can do Kushina and Mikoto since I have no plan for another Konoha oc around this time, all of them are later.
