Chapter 179: [The Elf!]
The day passed briefly after that as I was then taken to one of the most lavish hotels in the city.
It was the top most floor of the tallest building in the city, providing one of the best views one can find in the city. There was forest at a distance with another city visible a bit beyond the forest. There was also a river on the other side with a few resorts here and there.
"Well. It ain't half bad," I smiled as I had never experienced this in my previous life. It was a nice change of pace as my vacation was going pretty good up until now. It was a good choice to take a break here…
Since I had some time to kill, I checked at my other [Contractees] from the other servers.
That Elf who was on the verge of collapse before was now leading her entire force along with the guy who was probably the hero of that tribe. The previous weak and timid expression was no longer visible on her face as she faced the enemies with the best of her abilities.
[Gift: Scorched Eyes (Growth Type)
Grade:Mortal Grade-0!
Experience Required to Increase the Gift: Use Skill Flame Eyes to kill an enemy at least 3 times stronger than you!
Effects:For every 5 Wisdom Points that the user possesses, her eye/flame based skills have their effect increased by 50%
Skills Unlocked: [Flame Eyes!] [Flame Descent!]]
Her Gift had increased quite a bit, but she was still reliant on that [Phoenix's Eyes] that I gave her in the beginning.
As I read through her Gift's changes, I saw that her battle was over and now she was preparing to head back with that elf guy.
[You seem to be doing fine, huh?]
I sent a message through the contract, making her pause in her steps. Her eyes widened as she looked at that message.
"Elise?" The other elf looked at the tensed expression of Elise, making him wonder what happened.
"Thank you. Are you here to ask for a price?" Elise misunderstood my intentions, while I recalled my memories from the time I talked with her the first time. And honestly, I just gave her the contract and the gift, helping her out a little and then moving on to the next server.
[Not really. I was just on a vacation and thought about checking on the people that I gave the contract to. Since I am in a good mood, I can even listen to your request if you want. No strings attached.]
I was being honest. Since I was having fun, I decided to spend some time helping some of my contractors that showed promise. And Elise was totally one of them.
My words seemed to have shocked her a bit, but perhaps because she had a cool head, she pondered about the request before asking,"is there a limit to what I can ask for?"
That elf guy seemed to have understood the situation as he simply searched around the area even looking at the sky, wondering if I was watching them from somewhere.
[Kind of. Though I am only going to help you. As for others around you, they are your responsibilities, not mine.]
Reading my message she nodded before asking,
"Ummm. Then… if you can, can you get me a Healing type skill? Or something that can help me with food and water? We have too many injured, and those who are going to starve to death before this hell ends," Elise spoke with sincerity without hiding anything. Her eyes seemed to be hopeful while I pondered for a bit before thinking how I should proceed with it.
And then I had a certain idea that seemed to be the best for her current situation.
[Skill: Flame of Rejuvenation!
Grade: C
Effects:
-Restores the target HP by 1% per second at the cost of 0.5% Mana/Second!
-Increases the Growth of all vegetative plants, herbs and shrubs by 10 times for 24 Hours!(Cooldown: 24 Hours)
Additional Effects: If the target is being healed by another spell, increases the effect of that spell by 200%]
Creating an F-Grade of the skill required mere GM Points, and then modifying it using my skills allowed me to take it to this point without putting a strain on myself. Thinking that, I sent it to her with a smile on my face.
Observing her eyes widening she looked at the skill with a bewildered expression. Since her gift increased flame based skills, the effects would have surely increased as well.
But that wasn't the only thing I sent to her.
[Quest: Chance to go beyond what's normal!
Grade: B
Difficulty: Hard
Description: Since I already gave you the skill, you probably won't need this quest. But if you want to go one step ahead, then go and finish the tasks that I have written down there. The rewards should be motivating to say the least.
Objectives:
-Kill 1000 C-Grade Monsters!
Reward: Upgrade the Skill: Flame of Rejuvenation by 1 Grade!
Time Limit: None!]
Strictly speaking, each C-Grade monster gives about 5000 GM Points, so 1000 of them would equal 5,000,000. It was enough for a B-Grade skill if I were to choose spending the GM Points.
[It should be too much for now, so try to take it slow. As you will get stronger, you should be able to achieve this with ease.]
That was the last message before I decided to move to the next contractor. Though before I could do so, I saw her getting on her knees before she prayed to me as if I were a God or something.
"Thank you for providing us so much. I am willing to do anything you ask for, so if you need me for anything, please just command me," she spoke with pure sincerity while I smiled and typed one last sentence.
[Sure. I will be looking forward to it.]
And then, I moved to the next person on my list.
