The Boys-How to Be A Hero 101.

Chapter 3: I guess I’m here

Lucius Runner, Esteemed Dean Of Rosemary Institute praised for the many successful Assets he transformed over the years to be completely dependent to the company, was not having a very good day, with a phone pressed against his ear and a hand running through his cleanly combed blonde hair, he was talking to the Big Man himself, And that was where the problem lie.

"With all due respect Sir, The Asset Shouldn't have been transferred To Another facility until he was completely subservient, right now we are risking all that by sending him to Godolkin, he is a risk and a liability that I am not comfortable with roaming around please reel him back in, and I swear to fix this blight."

Lucius gritted his teeth, how he detested begging for someone's approval, how he hated asking for something when he could just do it but he couldn't, how revolting especially considering his own failure with the asset that left his facility and one he was asking for back, a flaw he was forced to let go, an embarrassment to his legacy, disgusting it riled something deep in his core that made him twist and turn at night his one singular failure, how it stings.

'Michael how delicious will it taste when I break you.' He thought, all while a dangerous gleam reflected off his eyes.

"Mr. Runner I respect your dedication truly you are one of thee most valuable Men in the company, but The asset will stay on it's course under the direct supervision of The dean of Godolkin University she's a colleague of yours, I seem to remember you and her chatting it up at our New Year's gathering at the tower, so trust me the asset will be in good hands."

Lucius Veins popped out from his hands, and neck clenching his fist to that cold Authoritative voice, as he pictured his so called colleague staining the asset that caused him so much trouble.

"Indira shetty couldn't tell you what the difference between V10 and compound V was, she dosent know what she has her grubby little hands on!"

Lucius broke out of character which was seeming to be a recurring event lately, since the asset departure a hour ago.

"I think she will do just fine now then, I have other matters to attend to."

Lucius spoke up again, he knew if he let him hang up he wouldn't be able to contact him again for a while so sucking up his pride he asked again.

"Please reconsider this matter entirely before."

The voice from the other end cut him off, interrupting him before he could finish what he was saying.

"You had your chance Lucius and you failed, remember your place if not others can fill your shoes just fine."

That was all he heard before the call was cut from the other end, the enveloping silence filled his office slowly lowering his phone he stayed still for a moment before, throwing his phone towards the wall.

Crack! Falling towards the ground with the glass shattered, he kicked his desk next cracking it in the process huffing rapidly, with his hair ruffled in a mess his eyes where filled with anger.

"Damn you!"

Gritting his teeth, there was no way he was going to accept this, not in a hundred years fine if he wasn't going to listen to him he was going to have to do it himself.

'The one who got away, Michael Cage count your days im coming for you!'

New experiences seemed to be a constant stream today for Michael, especially now staring at the gigantic campus that was twice the size than Rosemary institute, with more people than he can count walking through those gigantic golden gates, he was at a loss.

Many people passed by him, with strange small similar devices in their hands or gigantic black boxes, that sounded loudly with voices cussing every three seconds.

How did it work Michael didnt have a clue, did they somehow trap individual who could shrink into the machine, if they did couldn't they just break out by expanding to their normal size or could it be, did they find a way to trap voices instead so many questions Michael had.

So many wonders, so many new sensations looking around he saw banners hanging from light poles or ontop of buildings, with caped individuals behind that same seven logo he recognized anywhere and symbols of 'Godolkin University' no doubt representing the school itself.

But what drew his attention most was a gold statue that stood a distant away next to a statue that towered over multipe other gold statues next to it, it was older than the others but it didn't matter it was so deeply engraved into his curriculum even if he was half dead he would recognize it anywhere.

Dressed in a long cloak that was frozen in the wind, alongside a bullet proof vest and tactical pants and boots he held a rifle in his hand, and a shield in the other, protected with a helmet and a pair of goggles that covered his eyes there was only one hero throughout his studies that dressed like that and was so wildly known, and was always praised to be the best hero alive by The dean of Rosemary institute.

"Solider boy, didn't know you where a fan."

A soft voice with a hint of surprise spoke to him, Glancing to his right Michael saw the smirk on Indiras face, before he shook his head.

"I'm not just a familiar face."

Indira eyebrow raised, whatever she was thinking was out of Michael hands and frankly he didn't really care, still it was kinda strange in a good way that something familiar followed him here it made this new place feel like home just a little bit.

"Hmm if you want I could have, your room filled with solider boy merchandise."

Michael stared at her for a long while, as she shifted in place in silence.
