Luna Lila searched the entire house, her heart aching with worry as she called out Aiden's name. After checking the main house and the pack house she decided to check him where she thought he would have gone to.

She found him in Aurora's bedroom, curled up on the bed, his body shaking with sobs. Luna Lila's eyes welled up with tears as she rushed to her son's side, wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug.

"Aiden, my baby, I'm so sorry," she whispered quietly in his ears, "We didn't mean to upset you, we just want you to be happy and live a normal life. We don't want to lose you, sweetie. That's why we made this decision."

Aiden's sobs intensified, and he buried his face in his mother's shoulder. "I know, Mom," he said, his voice muffled. "I know you're just trying to protect me. But accepting this decision is hard. It feels like I'm being torn away from everything I love."

Luna Lila held her son close, tears streaming down her face as she cried with him. "I don't want you to go either, Aiden," she said, "But seeing as it's the only way to keep you safe, I have no choice but to accept it. I just want you to be safe, my baby. I want you to live a long and happy life, free from constant fear and danger."

Aiden holds his mother more tightly as he cry on her shoulder , " I know mom …. I know, but knowing doesn't make it any easier."

After what seems like an eternity Luna Lila and Aiden finally left Aurora's room, their faces streaked with tears. The emotional weight of their conversation still lingered, Aiden's eyes were red-rimmed, and his shoulders slumped in defeat.

"I'm going to my room, Mom," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I want to be alone for a while."

Luna Lila's heart ached as she looked at her son. She nodded, trying to hold back fresh tears. She reached out and gently kissed Aiden's forehead. "Okay, baby. I'll give you some space. But if you need me, you know where to find me."

Aiden nodded, his eyes welling up with tears again. He turned and walked away, his footsteps echoing down the hallway as he made his way to his bedroom.

Luna Lila watched her son go, her heart heavy with sorrow. She took a deep breath, trying to compose herself before making her way back to her mate's office.

Alpha Thane sat at his desk, his eyes fixed on the phone as he dialed Kaiden's number. After a few rings, Kaiden's voice came on the line.

"Kaiden, I need to talk to you about Aiden," Alpha Thane said, his voice serious,ignoring greetings and pleasantries and going straight to conversation.

"What's going on?" Kaiden asked, his tone concerned.

Alpha Thane took a deep breath before explaining the events that had transpired. "After you left for the airport, Aiden was attacked by a group of rogue wolves on his way coming back to the pack house ,They nearly killed him, Kaiden. It was a brutal attack, and I have proof that it was orchestrated by Alpha Kael."

Kaiden's growl was audible over the phone. "I'll kill him," he snarled.

Alpha Thane's voice remained calm. "We've made the decision to send Aiden out of the country, somewhere Alpha Kael won't think to look for him. It's the only way to keep him safe."

There was a pause on the other end of the line before Kaiden spoke up. "How's Aiden taking the news?"

Alpha Thane's expression turned grim. "He's not taking it well, Kaiden. He's refusing to go, he says he won't leave. I'm hoping you can talk some sense into him, make him see that this is the only way to keep him safe."

Alpha thane could hear Kaiden sign over the phone . "I'll talk to him, Alpha Thane. I'll get back to you soon."

Alpha Thane nodded, even though Kaiden couldn't see him. "Thank you, Kaiden. I appreciate it."

With that, the call ended, and Alpha Thane let out a weary sigh. He rubbed his temples, and leaned back in his chair, his eyes closing as he let out a deep breath. The burden of being an alpha and a father was a heavy one, and today was no exception.

Luna Lila entered her mate's office, her eyes immediately drawn to Alpha Thane's slumped figure. He was seated in his chair, his head thrown back and his eyes closed, looking utterly exhausted. Luna Lila's heart went out to him, and she felt a pang of pity. She moved closer to him, her footsteps quiet on the floor.

As she approached, Alpha Thane's eyes flickered open, and a small smile played on his lips. Luna Lila sat down on his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck. Alpha Thane's smile grew wider, and he drew her closer, capturing her mouth in a warm and gentle kiss.

As they broke apart for air, Luna Lila asked, "Did you call Kaiden?"

Alpha Thane nodded, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I did. He said he'll talk to Aiden and make him see reason."

Luna Lila's face lit up with a soft smile. "I've also talked to Aiden. I'm sure he'll come around in no time. He's just scared and feeling a bit lost right now."

Alpha Thane's expression turned thoughtful, and he stroked Luna Lila's hair, his touch soothing. "I know. I just want what's best for him, even if it means letting him go."

Luna Lila's eyes filled with unshed tears, but she smiled through them. "I know, my love.

Alpha Thane's eyes sparkled with mischief as he gazed at Luna Lila. "Enough about Aiden for now," he said, his voice low and husky. He reached out, his hands running over Luna Lila's body, sending shivers down her spine.

Luna Lila's eyes smoldered as she smirked at her mate. She felt a flutter in her chest as Alpha Thane's hands explored her curves. she gasped as she felt something poking her from behind.

Alpha Thane's eyes gleamed with amusement. "I told the guards to stay away from the office for a while," he whispered, his breath hot against Luna Lila's ear. "We have the office to ourselves for a little while. We should do something naughty."

Luna Lila's smile. "I'd love to do something naughty with my mate," she purred, her voice dripping with seduction.

Alpha Thane's lips crashed down on Luna Lila's, his kiss passionate and all consuming. He lifted her from his laps and placed her on the desk in front of him , he slowing pulled down the floral skirt she was wearing and do the same to her underwear.

Luna Lila was writhing in pleasure as her mate pulled down her clothing, she can't wait for him to be one with her, for him to claim her.

They made sweet and tender love in the office, their bodies entwined as they lost themselves in each other's arms. The tension and stress of the day melted away, replaced by the warmth and love they shared.
