Hearing a knock on the door, Kaiden stood up and gently placed Aiden's head on the pillow. He got out of bed and walked over to the door, opening it to reveal a maid standing in the hallway.

"Excuse me, sir, Dinner is being served and Alpha Thane requests your presence in the dining hall."she said quietly,bowing down her head.

Kaiden nodded and thanked the maid. closing the door he went back inside, standing a few pace from Aiden. "Hey, Aidie," he said softly. "Dinner is ready. We should go down."

Aiden shook his head, his eyes still closed. "Can't we just stay here?, I don't feel like seeing anyone else right now."

Kaiden sat down beside him on the bed and gently stroked his hair. "I know it's hard, Aidie ," he said. "But you need to eat to stay healthy. And I have to admit, I'm worried about you. Your dad said you've not been eating or sleeping since Aurora's death , and I don't like it been. I know you've been struggling lately, but you need to take care of yourself first."

Aiden opened his eyes and looked up at Kaiden, his eyes swell with tears . " I missed her Kaiden , I missed her a lot , and it hurt …. It hurt so much ."

"I know Aidie , believe me I know ,I know how much you missed her and it's okay to mourn her. But you have to take care of yourself too. Aurora wouldn't want you to neglect your health. She would want you to be happy and healthy."

Aiden looked away shaking his head, tears streaming down his eyes. "No Kaiden you don't understand, she died because of me, she died trying to save me, if I have been stronger or more faster she won't have died we would have escaped together but I can't run fast like her because I am a stupid omega, a weakling that needed to be saved all the time, I don't even deserve to miss her because I caused her death, I was the reason why she died.

Moving closer, Kaiden pulled him into a tight hug, holding him close. " it's not your fault Aidie, everything that happen is not your fault so please stop blaming yourself,I know it's hard to let go, But you have to try. You have to honor her memory by living the life she gave you. If you die or get sick, it means you didn't cherish her life. And I know that's not what you want."

Aiden nodded, his body shaking with sobs. Kaiden held him close, whispering words of comfort in his ear.

"I want you to get better, Aidie,I want us to spend a lot of time together and make new memories. Aurora might be gone but I promise to be with you always, to support you and take care of you,and you are not a weakling or a stupid omega you're a strong wolf and a very talented person your smile could light up a whole room , your presence light up my world Aidie."

Aiden looked up at Kaiden, his eyes red-rimmed from crying. But he smiled, a small, gentle smile.

"Thank you, Kaiden," he said. "And I really like the nickname Aidie, when did you come up with it ."

Kaiden smiled back, " it's just something I came up with when am stroking your hair ,it really suit you and it's something only I can call you with . Now, let's go down to dinner, and you won't be alone I'll be right there with you, every step of the way."

A few minutes later they both head down to the dining hall for dinner. walking hand in hand, their fingers intertwined as they made their way to the table.

The atmosphere in the hall was lively, with the pack members chatting and laughing as they waited for dinner to be served.

All eyes fall on Kaiden and Aiden as they both entered the hall with their hands intertwined, The room fell silent as everyone was staring at the two young men making their way to their seats. Kaiden could feel the weight of their gaze on them and Aiden hid behind him ,but he didn't let it faze him. Instead, he smiled and nodded at the pack members, pushing Aiden forward their hands still clasped together .

The pack members looked at each other, their mouths opened wide, while some of them smiled and nod in approval. Alpha Thane, seating at the head of the table, looked up and caught Kaiden's eye. He smiled and nodded, his expression warm and welcoming.

Taking their seats, the maids began serving the food and everyone started eating , Kaiden also started eating his food, deciding to check on Aiden, he peaked at him from under his lashes and noticed that he wasn't eating his food, he was just picking at it and pushing it around his plate with his fork, and his eyes were fixed on the tablecloth. he reached out and put his hand on Aiden's arm.

"Hey," he called him softly. "You need to eat something please. You haven't been taking care of yourself lately, and it's starting to show."

Aiden looked back at him, his eyes sad and haunted. "I'm just not hungry," he whispered back.

Kaiden softened his gaze, and leaned in to kiss Aiden's forehead. "I know Aidie, But you need to eat something. Even if it's a little bit, okay?"

Without saying another word, he reached out and picked up a spoon and began to feed Aiden, spooning small amounts of food into his mouth.

Aiden looked at him with surprise, he quickly turned around to check if people were watching them, seeing that nobody took noticed of them he quietly open his mouth and began eating slowly, relaxing into the gentle, loving care that Kaiden was showing him.

The pack members were surprised and shocked at the scene unfolding in front of them, their reactions were immediate and palpable. Their eyes widened in surprise, and some of them gasped in shock.

Beta Micheal narrowed his eye, turning to Alpha thane, he whispered quietly to his ears. "What is going on here?"

Alpha Thane remain calm and neutral, but his eyes were sparkling with amusement. "I think Kaiden is just taking care of his mate."

Beta Micheal raised his eyebrows, looking at the duo's feeding each other and back at Alpha thane. " when did you confirm this?."

"Seer Namarie told me a few days ago"

Beta Micheal decided to let the matter rest and continue eating his food, but Luna Lila can't keep quiet any longer She leaned over to her mate. "Thane, is this okay?" she asked, her eyes fixed on the scene before them. "I mean, I know Kaiden is Aiden's mate, but this seems...so close."

Alpha Thane looked at her, his expression calm and reassuring. "don't worry Lila ," he said. "I trust Kaiden to take care of our son. He clearly cares about him, and he would never do anything to hurt him."

Luna Lila looked uncertain, her eyes darting back to Kaiden and Aiden. "But what about the pack? , What will they think?"

Alpha Thane smiled and put a reassuring hand on her arm. "The pack will understand,"

But the pack members were not so understanding. They looked on in shock and discomfort, unsure of how to react to the intimate display. Some of them whispered to each other, their voices barely audible.

"This is not right," one of them whispered. "It's not appropriate for a man to be treating another man like this."

"I know," another pack member replied.

Kaiden, however, seemed oblivious to the commotion he was causing. He continued feeding Aiden, his eyes locked on his face.
