Chapter 7: Reality Hits
I didn't know it would be like this...
How could I have been so foolish.
I'm not strong enough to actually do something in this world.
I can't cahnge it by being weak.
Even if I am superior to other humans, it doesn't mean I'm superior to the other races.
We humans are nothing.
That's the cruel reality of this world.
And I had to truly realize it the hard way.
1 hour earlier.
I woke up as usual.
It has been 3 months since I talked with my parents about leaving, dad ignored me for a few weeks but mom didn't.
She talked to me even more, she wanted to talk to me as much as she could before I will leave.
After sometime the relationship between me and my dad improved, and we started talking like before.
So my days here were pretty much the same as before.
I managed to get some arrows from the barracks.
And they also gave me bow and iron sword, although mine were much better.

My parents also gave me some money once I told them that I would go to the city of barloc, they immediately gave me some of their saved money.
At first I wanted to refuse, but I knew I would need at least some money to start something there, maybe I can be an alchemist there.
And that leads us to this day.
I got up pretty quickly after I woke up, I know that in D&D any sort of teleportation magic is from the school of conjuration, so I wanted to try that today.
It's a bit different than my usual routine, but it'll do.
My routine today was different, but it wasn't because I was trying to teleport.
I walked out of my room to drink some water.
I drank from a nerby cup and then placed it on the table.
That's when I noticed that the water was trembling.
Earthquake!?
But that posibility was earased from my mind quickly once I heard
*Bom, bom, bom, bom, bom, bom, bom*
Drums?
...
Oh no.
I understood what it meant...
We're being attacked.
And that's when a message appeared in front of me
[Goblin army was approaching from the west!]
[Goblin army was approaching from the east!]
This is really not good.
I quickly went outside.
I had to find my parents and Henry.
However, before I could even find them, I heard a large explosion coming from the wall.
When I looked back...
I saw an enormous boulder there, covered in a big dust cloud, and the wall was...
Destroyed.
[A goblin army has arrived]
They appeared from the hole the boulder made.
They were many, hundreds, some had armor, some had robes, and some even had bows, and some knives...
Warrior, mage, archer and theif. All from the game.
And they weren't like the ones from novels and fairytales, they were like the ones from Terraria, smart enough to be in an army.
They knew what they were doing, and they were happy to slaughter us like lamb.
They showed strength beyond human capabilities.
I immediatly equipped my armor and was ready to fight.
I had to find a way to save everyone. But how? I do not know yet.
I ran in the other direction, trying to find my parents and Henry.
I heard the screams of the villagers.
The screams of fury from the guards.
And the screams of pain from the humans.
"Sh*t, where are you?" I murmered to myself in frustration because I couldn't find any of them, not my dad, my mom, or Henry. Please be safe.

I continued to run through the village, avoiding any goblins I found.
I didn't want to fight if I didn't need to.
I was trying to not pay attension to courpses of everyone in the village.
I needed to find my parents and Henry no matter what.
However, while I was looking for them something caught my eye.
A gobling peon was going to kill a little boy, he was the son of my neighbours, his name was Thomas.
That f*cker.
I dashed towards him and swung my sword at his neck trying to finish him off quickly.
When I looked at his eyes a health bar appeared above him.
[You have dealt 14 damage]
[Goblin peon: HP: 346/360]
But it did almost nothing.
It just alerted him of my presence.
"Huh? It seems we left one human warrior left alive... Well, it doesn't matter, I'll take care of you first..."
He then wacked me like I was just a pesky insect.
*Booom!*
I flew towards a nerby house, the impact was so strong that I broke through the walls.
"Argh!"
Some of my bones were showing, and my mouth let out some blood.
That hit must have destroyed some of my organs.
I quickly checekd my HP.

I ate a mushroom to heal up...
[+15 HP]

[HP: 55/125] [Mana: 40/40]
I can't survive another hit.
"Oh? you actually survived one hit, what a sturdy human"
I heard the voice of the goblin entering the house.
"Look at what I did to your little friend" He said while smiling at me.
His hand was covered in blood and his other hand had the body of the little boy...
Headless.
"Hehehe... Crushing his head was exhilirating, hehehe" he said to me while laughing.
My blood was coming to a boil with anger.
His vicious smile showed me all the emotions he felt at this moment, he was enjoying this...
He was enjoying making me feel powerless.
"Let's see how much your body can take, human"
He approached me and pulled me into a bear hug and started crushing my body.
[You have received 15 damage]
[You have received 15 damage]
[You have received 15 damage]
-[HP: 10/125] [Mana: 40/40]
My bones are cracking.
Why did the Goddess of Order send me here?
Why would she give me all this power just so that I will die?
I may have been wrong about this world...
I just didn't think it will be this bad to be a human...
This world might never change, but I can not just give up...
Even if she did just bring me here to see me suffer, she gave me a new life, I could still be a hero.
The reality might be that we humans are the weakest race, but I am going to prove that we are not weaklings.
"Hey kid"
I heard a familiar voice a few meters away.
"You look awful right now"
"Henry!"
"Another human survived? Tsk, what are they doing? Leaving this many survivors?" The goblin stopped squeezing my body and turned to look at Henry. He probably thought I was dead.
"Kid... Why are you giving up?"
"Do you really want to die?" said Henry while glaring into my eyes.
"N-no..." I said weakly
"Oh? Is she actually still alive?" The goblin said while looking at me, then he glanced at the old man again, "So you two humans know each other? If that's the case it's goinna be much more fun breaking you both."
Heh...
"Like hell you're going to live through it" I said under my breath.
I took out my iron shortsword and stabbed the goblin in the eye.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
The moment the sword entered his eye socket I proceeded to try and cut his brain or whatever he has inside his skull.
[You have dealt 40 damage]
The goblin quickly freed me from his arms and therw me to the ground.
He then started screaming while grabbing his eye.
"It seems like you still have your courage kid, take this" Henry approached me and handed me a potion while the goblin was distracted.
I nodded and drank the potion which looked like a healing potion.
*Gulp*
*Gulp*
"Aaah..." I exhaled after drinking the drinking potion.
My bones started to heal rapidly and so did my organs, and I could walk again.
"Listen kid, we don't have much time before the goblins get here and help their friend, so you need to get out of here as fast as you can!"
"So you'll stay here to give me enough time to escape"
"Yes, I will stay here, now go! Before it's too late!"
I gave him a hug "I won't forget you" I said to him crying a bit.
"You have a bright future ahead of you, you have talents I have never seen before, and I can't allow it to disappear."
"Goodbye" *Sniff*.
I left... But I could still hear his last words before I got too far away.
"Don't disappoint me Anaya..."
