Taming His Demon Lover

Chapter 13: Twisted versions of the truth

Muffled laughter echoed from the doorway; only Malachi was capable of being so barefaced about his eavesdropping.

"Malachi, don't just stand there like a simpleton while the water is getting cold. Take yourself to the kitchen and tell Mrs. James to have the servants bring that water downstairs or else."

"Don't ignore me."

Andras turned his attention back to the sallow faced village chief and said, "what do you know about the Fallen?"

"Not many know that after the first wave of Angels fell led by Lucifer another battle against the heavens occurred and this second wave was led by the Samael. No one knows the reason why Samael was kicked out of the heavens. It is believed that when he dropped from the heavens he landed injured in the Faerie realm. He was discovered by Queen Titania who nursed him back to health. Queen Titania had fallen out with Oberon and fell for the fallen angel's charm. It's rumored that Samael acted as her bodyguard for a time. Then after impregnating Queen Titania he left the Summer Court and was never seen again. Robin is the son of an adulturous slut, who now despises all men. Once Titania has you in her seductive clutches she will drain you dry and like mother, like son."

His disbelief must have shown in his face.

Just the idea of that weak, frail looking boy seducing him and sucking him dry was laughable.

"Thank you for your concern on the matter, especially for conserving my purity but nothing you said has changed my mind. I doubt that little waif downstairs will cause me any harm."

Suddenly all the blood drained from Squire James' face as if he finally understood he was about to lose his control of Robin.

"I would rather defile Robin myself than see the boy sullied by the likes of you." Squire James clenched his fists. "I waited so patiently to get him to this stage of perfection to grovel at my feet. There is no way I'll let him go with you. I'll tie him to the bed if I must."

Andras had finally reached his limits with this insane old man.

The only reason Squire James was still breathing was because their were too many eye witnessesses and he didn't want another visit to the Summer Court's prison.

"If it was up to me I would not even be spending a night under your roof. Since Robin's current state is as a result of your negligence we will leave at dawn after a night's rest."

"Don't tell the Queen that —"

"Master, sorry to interrupt but..?"

"Spit it out Malachi."

"Upon delivering the buckets of heated water we found the basement to be empty. My lord, Robin's gone."

"Gone?" he slammed the door to the study behind him.

He ran all the way, almost tripping down the stairs in his haste only to see for himself that the basement was truly empty.

It hurt for Andras just to touch his body, where had Robin gotten the strength and energy to flee the house.

His willpower was truly remarkable.

"If you had heeded my warnings earlier this could have all been avoided. Can't you see that I have the right of it? Just leave Robin to me. You don't need this burden, you're a handsome young man, it won't take you long to find someone else. Just leave the boy to me."

"Stop talking old man before I cut out your tongue. Malachi, ready the horses and meet us on foot. I will start tracking Robin right away so catch up with us Malachi."

"Where does the vent lead to?"

Andras asked Squire James who was huffing and puffing behind them.

"It leads out to the garden and crosses paths with a trail that leads into the woods."

"Take me to the gardens now."

Did this forest have no end?

Robin felt like he was walking around in circles.

He thought the trail would lead into town but instead it seemed to be taking him even deeper into this neck of the woods.

Too tired to move an inch more he rested on a tree stump.

After he stopped perspiring a bit he decided it was time to move again before the others discovered he was missing.

Then Robin heard a twig snap more than once and realized that he was being followed.

Had Squire James let out his hunter dogs, that's the only way he could have caught up with him so soon.

He hid behind a large rock until he saw a tall figure with silver hair and a muscular body step into view.

It was too early to breathe a sigh of relief.

Even though he was glad it was not Squire James but he knew next to nothing about Andras Mulciber.

He only just met the man and already Robin had tried to thwart his control by fleeing the house.

No doubt the man would be angered and react just as badly as Squire James to his disobedience.

Robin had not stuck around long enough to defend himself and surely this man would fall for Squire James' twisted versions of the truth.

It was smart of Squire James to send the young man to track him and find him much sooner.

There was still time to flee from this Lord Mulciber, he must not let himself get caught!

He turned and started moving as fast as he could.

Robin tripped over a root and hurt his ankle but he ignored the pain and kept limping forward.

Daring to look behind him he saw no one but did not stop moving.

For he felt his body slowing down, he was getting weaker by the second.

Even his breathing was coming out uneven between short gasps, while his heartbeat raced.

Robin forced himself blindly through some thick bush and almost ran straight into him.

It was as if he predicted which direction Robin would run and went straight ahead to lay wait for him, Andras' speed and agility was impeccable.

He stopped and turned before Andras could grab a hold of him, he scooped up a handful of dirt and blew it into Andras' eyes.

Robin saw a thick vine that he could use to propel himself through the forest.

Swinging from limb to limb like he had seen monkeys do.

Just as he was about to jump on to the limb, something heavy hit him squarely on the back and Robin plummeted to the ground so fast.

When he opened his eyes, Andras was sitting astride his body, his powerful hands held both Robin's arms above his head as they stared into each other's eyes.

"Don't do this…I can't…I just can't go back there," sobbed Robin.

He knew that his pleas would only fall on deaf ears, another failed plan, another futile attempt at escape.

Robin tried to butt his head against Andras' chest but he was only hurting himself bucking against a wall of solid muscle.

Malachi drawled from on top his horse, "Lord Mulciber, I know you're eager for the wedding night but can you at least wait until you exchange vows aboard the ship before you mount him?"
