Chapter 7: 07,Earth’s Last Hope: The Saiyan’s Journey
In the process of training in the Ultra Instinct Mind Gong, time passed day by day.
In the blink of an eye, another half-year had gone by, but Carlo still hadn't mastered the Ultra Instinct Skill, which made him realize just how difficult it was to comprehend. You must know that in Dragon Ball Super, Goku understood the essence of the Ultra Instinct when his life was on the line
reaching a new level of mastery. Meanwhile, Vegeta, no matter how hard he tried, couldn't grasp the Ultra InstinctSkill. Perhaps Carlo's situation was similar to Vegeta's. His heart was too eager to master the technique, too desperate to surpass others, and driven by a desire to grow stronger, which led to counterproductive results. He couldn't calm his mind, and this was a serious obstacle in cultivating the Ultra Instinct Mind Gong.
And then there was Weiss. Since he tasted the food Carlo cooked six months ago, he had been constantly pestering Carlo, asking him to prepare meals. It had gotten to the point where Carlo was starting to lose his patience.
"Lord Carlo, what are we eating today?" Weiss asked eagerly as soon as the training session ended at noon.
Carlo sighed helplessly. "Oh my God! If I had known it would come to this, I wouldn't have cooked for you. You've become completely addicted to it!"
"Hee-hee~~," Weiss chuckled, clearly not bothered by Carlo's complaints. "So, what will it be today?"
Carlo rubbed his forehead, thinking for a moment. "Alright, alright! Today, we're going to my hometown, where there's even more food, and it's even more delicious than what I make."
Weiss's eyes lit up with excitement. "Really? That sounds amazing! I can't wait!"
Two years had passed since Carlo arrived in this world. From being a Saiyan with a combat power of less than 100 to achieving the strength of Super Saiyan Five, he had made tremendous progress. During this time, he had never left the Destruction God Realm and had never been to Earth. Now, it felt like
the right time to explore Earth. Carlo figured that once Weiss tasted Earth's delicacies, he might stop pestering him to cook all the time.
Weiss was practically bouncing with anticipation. "Hurry up! Let's go!"
Carlo nodded, and after a brief moment of preparation, they were off.
Half an hour later, Carlo and Weiss were above Earth.
"Lord Carlo, is this the planet you used to live on?" Weiss asked, gazing down at the light blue planet below. "It looks like a beautiful and habitable planet."
Carlo nodded, observing Earth. "Yes, it's indeed similar to the Earth I knew. Blue oceans, vast lands… but it's two completely different worlds."
"Let's go!" Carlo announced, and without waiting for a response, he shot downward.
Weiss followed quickly, and soon they arrived on Earth. The moment Carlo landed, he could sense a powerful aura in the distance.
"This aura must be Trunks', right?" Carlo muttered, recognizing the energy signature.
This was a future timeline, and at this point, Trunks was the last warrior left on Earth.
Goku had passed away from a heart virus over a decade ago, and Vegeta, Piccolo, and the other Z Fighters had been killed by the androids 17 and 18. Even Gohan, the remaining warrior, had been killed by the androids a few years ago. Now, Trunks was Earth's final defender.
Meanwhile, as Carlo and Weiss arrived, Trunks, who had been training in the gravity room, suddenly felt an overwhelming sense of oppression. His body tensed up, and he stopped his training immediately.
"This... what's going on?" Trunks muttered, his eyes narrowing as he scanned the area.
The pressure he felt was unlike anything he had encountered before. It was even more intense than the feeling he had when facing the Demon King Dabura over two years ago.
"Is an enemy approaching?" Trunks thought, his mind immediately going on high alert. The Earth had just begun to recover from the androids' devastation, and it couldn't handle another crisis.
Without wasting any time, Trunks quickly changed into his battle gear, grabbed his sword, and headed out of the gravity chamber.
As Trunks emerged from the room, his mother Bulma, who was outside hanging laundry, noticed the serious look on his face.
"Trunks, what's wrong?" she asked, her voice filled with concern.
Trunks nodded without offering much explanation. "I'm not sure, but something's happening. I have to go."
Bulma, though worried, knew she couldn't stop him. "Be careful, okay?" she said, her voice filled with a mother's anxiety.
"I will, Mom." Trunks gave her a reassuring smile before his body flickered and he took off, his speed leaving behind only a streak of light as he shot toward the source of the strange aura.
