"Hmm…" Nathan frowned, looking at another contract failing.

"Is it not possible?"

"It is possible. It's just… either I haven't found the correct agreement or the level of the contract is not enough." Nathan crossed his arms. "I think we should postpone it for the time being. I don't like to let Selena wait for too long. Once we have more time, let's experiment with it again."

"Understood." Sasha nodded. "Thank you very much."

"You can thank me after we succeed." Nathan waved his hand, leading them back to the cave.

It seemed they had taken more time than they originally expected. Selena had already set up everything for them to sleep.

"You're back?" Selena raised her head. "That's good. Is everything done?"

"Not yet, but we'll continue once we go back."

Selena nodded. "In that case, we should rest for tonight. After all, we will be taking down the mutant tomorrow."

Selena thought for a moment. "How about both of us? We'll let the familiars handle the rest."

"Only two of us? I don't think it's enough. We need at least two more familiars to even be their opponents. Of course, with Anubis staying on the back to heal us. So, a total of five."

"In that case, I will let Risa fight with us. Yin Zhen and Amphitrite will take care of the rest."

Nathan contemplated before glancing at Sasha. "In that case, you should summon Sasha as well. While it's true that Sasha can't keep up right now, it might change once you summon Lilith. So, I don't think it's bad to let her gain more experience and learn new techniques. Besides, she shouldn't have trouble against a juvenile class alien."

"Is that so?" Selena turned to Sasha. With how highly Nathan spoke about her, she thought there was 'that' kind of agreement in place.

As her second familiar, she was obviously familiar with this type of gaze. Sasha immediately shook her head.

"…" Selena was startled a bit, wondering if she was that obvious. Selena ultimately agreed. "Sure. I will summon Sasha tomorrow."

"Good work. See you tomorrow." Nathan nodded to Sasha.

"Yes." Sasha politely bowed before disappearing into thin air.

Meanwhile, Nathan summoned his four divine beasts, which confused them. "Guys. I need one volunteer to fight the mature class mutant with me, Selena, and Risa. Anubis will be included, so no need to raise your hand…"

Nidhogg was looking away as he was too lazy to participate, while Fenrir and Jinwu raised their paw and wing respectively.

"What are you doing, you dog?" Jinwu snarled. "You are too big."

"We don't even know whether the enemy is big or not. If it's big, I can take care of it easily. If it's not big, I don't have to use Gigantification to deal with it. It's easy."

"If you don't use Gigantification, you are weaker. It's better to have me."

"There will definitely be a lot of aliens protecting it, so it's better for you to be the one taking care of them." Fenrir snorted.

"You can do it too. Just roll around with your giant body and crush those aliens. That's what a good puppy does." Jinwu glared at Fenrir.

"!!!" Fenrir and Jinwu raised their heads in shock. If they were less prioritized, it meant that the others could bully them with the power difference. This wasn't something they could afford to lose.

Jinwu suddenly lowered his wing while saying, "This dog can take the spot."

Fenrir looked surprised before harrumphing proudly. "Fine. I will take the spot. Hahahaha. I'm so good."

Jinwu snorted. "Just look at you. You can be proud right now, but once I have more ena and unlock more of my abilities, I'm going to bully you."

Fenrir patted Jinwu's head while saying with a smug smile, "Little bird. This is why you're the last familiar summoned by him. You don't know the drill. Even though he says he will prioritize us less, it doesn't change the fact that his luck is awful.

"When that time comes, he will end up increasing our ena depending on the situation. In other words, if that situation requires me, I will end up getting prioritized. And now, I can prove my strength since you've given me the spot."

"!!!" Jinwu widened his eyes in shock. "Summoner. Did you hear that? He was cursing… you?"

Jinwu stopped when he saw Nathan pinching the bridge of his nose. On the one hand, Fenrir should be punished since he was cursing Nathan. On the other hand, Nathan reacted as if it was true.

In fact, Nidhogg and Anubis looked away, confirming Fenrir's statement.

"No worries. Just make sure that you don't get your limb cut or something. My divinity hasn't been restored to that level yet."

"Yeah. I will be—!" Before Nathan could finish his reply, he abruptly stopped when there was a long screeching voice that rang from a distance, followed by crumbling sounds approaching them.

"Oh shit. I really need an auspicious beast to remove my bad luck."
