Chapter 193: Disruption in the Exhibition

"Jack, go for it!!!"

Inside the dueling stadium's perimeter, Yugo and Rin were shouting at the top of their lungs, cheering Jack on. Jack glanced at them, his gaze pausing on Yusei standing quietly behind them. He lowered his eyes slightly, said nothing, and twisted the throttle—raising one hand in a small wave.

"Waaaah! You got this, Jack!" shouted two little kids, die-hard Jack Atlas fans, jumping up and down with glee when he acknowledged them.

"Well then—"

The MC raised his hand as both Duelists got into position. "Three, two, one——"

"Riding Duel: ACCELERATION!!"

VRMMM!

Before his opponent could react, Jack rocketed off the starting line with a burst of speed.

"First to take the turn gets first move—and whoa! Our KING is already charging ahead! Angmar follows closely—first move goes to Jack!!"

"I'll take the first turn! My turn!" Jack drew a card and swiftly inserted it into the deck slot on his Duel Runner, then pulled one out. "I Normal Summon Level 2 Tuner Monster—Force Resonator!"

A little demon carrying an electric sphere, crackling with energy, bounced out of the card.

"If I control a 'Resonator' monster, I can halve this card's ATK to Special Summon—Level 6 Red Wolf!"

WHOOOM!

A massive flaming wolf burst from the card. Jack accelerated, wheeled around to face Angmar, and shouted: "I tune my Level 2 Force Resonator with my Level 6 Red Wolf!"

"Synchro Summon!"

"Stardust Dragon!!"

With his cry, a sleek, otherworldly dragon with shimmering white wings soared from a ring of light, flying beside Jack's Duel Runner—Wheel of Fortune.

Stardust Dragon, Level 8, WIND, Dragon-Type, ATK 2500.

"Stardust Dragon?" Rin and Yugo both turned to look at Yusei. He remained silent, expression unreadable.

"Huh, Stardust?" On the KaibaCorp side, Jaden Yuki—who'd grown close to Yusei over the last few days—was clearly surprised.

"I Set one card. End my turn."

"Heh… so this is the KING of the Synchro Dimension, huh?" Angmar sneered as he raced behind, watching Jack carefully. "Looks like they're still scared of Synchros and Xyz. Some KING—looks like a punk to me."

"If I beat you today, I'll become the face of the Fusion Army. Hell, maybe I'll even become a General—!"

He saw Jack summon a monster with just 2500 ATK and started getting cocky, no longer nervous.

"My turn! Draw!"

"Heheheh… let's see that hand of yours—Spell Card Confiscation! I pay 1000 LP to look at your hand and discard one card!"

Angmar LP: 4000 → 3000.

Jack calmly tapped the screen on his Duel Runner, revealing his hand to the audience.

It showed a Level 5 monster, a Level 3 monster, and Monster Reborn.

"Synchros are easy to figure out. No Tuners, no Synchros," Angmar grinned. "I use Confiscation to discard your Level 3 Tuner!"

Jack silently discarded Dark Resonator.

Angmar wasn't even worried about Monster Reborn. He held a Continuous Trap—Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell. As long as that was Set, no Spell Card could activate immediately. By next turn, Jack's high-level monsters would be helpless.

"Next—I activate Polymerization! I fuse Saintly Virgin of Compassion and Fallen Angel Marie from my hand!"

"Fusion Summon!"

"Saint Joan!"

A blinding holy light descended. A noble, sword-wielding maiden emerged from the glow, facing down Stardust Dragon.

Saint Joan, Level 7, LIGHT, Fairy-Type, ATK 2800.

"Battle! Saint Joan, attack that freaky dragon!"

"Hyah!" The saint leapt into the air, bringing her blade down onto Stardust Dragon.

Jack's Duel Runner swerved wildly under the impact, nearly skidding out of control.

Jack LP: 4000 → 3700.

"Jack!!"

"Jack!!"

Some of his fangirls in the Satellite Sector screamed in horror. Even Yugo and Rin shouted his name in panic.

But when the smoke cleared, Jack was still riding strong, wheels steady.

Phew—

A wave of relieved gasps swept through the audience.

"I Set one card. End my turn!" Angmar said confidently.

Jack, however, remained stone silent.

Meanwhile—

"Ah—!"

"Wait, nngh!!"

At the Synchro Dimension's Senate chamber, Goodwin walked calmly through a hall littered with corpses, a serene smile on his face. Behind him, a squad of loyal officers.

To eliminate the threat posed by interdimensional Duelists, the Senate had heightened security day by day. Today, with nearly 90% of public officers deployed to Satellite for Jack's Duel, Goodwin saw his chance.

No psychic powers. No tricks.

He simply strolled in.

"Goodwin, what are you doing?! You—"

One elder tried to protest—only to be silenced by a gun barrel aimed at his forehead.

Bang—

He fell instantly.

"W-Wait—Goodwin, you're a Duelist, right?! If it's power you want, let's Duel, the proper way—!"

"Duel? With me?" Goodwin smiled without blinking. "You fools don't even understand Dueling."

"Or are you talking about the help you got from interdimensional allies?"

"You… you know?!"

Goodwin slowly revealed the cards in his hand—bent, blood-stained cards depicting frightened faces. They weren't monsters, but humans.

"Fusion Army? Pathetic. They can't even manage their own world and still think they can profit by dealing with other dimensions?

Go ahead. Die in peace. I will lead this world to a brighter future—one where I become God."

He chuckled softly, wiping blood from his gloves with practiced ease, then turned toward a screen.

At that moment, Jack's turn had begun.

He charged forward, raising his hand, pointing directly at a camera flying alongside in a helicopter.

"A KING's Duel must be entertainment!

Turn 1, show the monster. Show the KING's mercy!

Turn 2, give your opponent their moment to shine!

Turn 3, sweep them aside like autumn leaves!"

"Jack!!"

"Jaaack!!"

"My turn!" Jack slammed the throttle. "Draw!"

"Tch, trying to win this turn? I activate my Continuous Trap—Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell! While it's on the field, neither player can activate Spells from the hand unless they were Set first—and can't activate them until their next turn!"

"How's that—"

"If I control no monsters and my opponent controls one, I can halve its ATK and DEF to Special Summon this! Level 5—Dark Dragon!" Jack slapped down a pitch-black dragon.

"Next—I activate my Set card, Call of the Haunted! I Special Summon a monster from my Graveyard."

"Even Stardust Dragon won't—"

"I revive my Level 3 Tuner, Dark Resonator!"

"W-What?!"

Jack's eyes flashed as he looked at his opponent.

"You, interdimensional Duelist—you lack passion. You lack the heart of a Duelist.

So—THE KING will show you what absolute pressure looks like!!"

"I tune my Level 3 Dark Resonator with my Level 5 Dark Dragon!"

Lava erupted around the track, flowing like molten rage as Jack's engine howled. Flames surged beneath his wheels.

"Rip through the black void! Burn the heavens and the earth! Lonely, absolute sovereign!!

Tremble before his overwhelming might!!

Synchro Summon!!

Level 8—Red Dragon Archfiend!!"

ROOOOOAAAAARRRR!!!

A massive, horned, obsidian dragon exploded out of the fire, cracking the pavement with its tail as it bellowed to the sky.

Red Dragon Archfiend, Level 8, DARK, Dragon-Type, ATK 3000.

"3000 ATK?!" Angmar swallowed hard. "But even so—"

"Red Dragon Archfiend's effect! Once per turn, during my Main Phase: destroy all other Attack Position monsters on the field!"

"What?!"

The Archfiend leapt high into the air, then slammed its claws down. Flames erupted and engulfed Saint Joan, reducing her to cinders.

"Crap!"

"Battle!

My soul!

Direct attack!!

Crimson Hell Strike!!"

After rupturing the field with lava, the dragon flared its wings and charged. One punch—straight into Angmar's Duel Runner—triggered a burst of heat and an auto-deploying airbag, shielding the panicked non-driver.

Angmar LP: 3000 → 0.

Security forces rushed in, pulling him away and escorting him to KaibaCorp's base.

Jack scoffed.

He'd had enough of these empty opponents. These pretenders who had no passion for Dueling.

He didn't look back. Just turned his D-Wheel and drove straight toward KaibaCorp's side.

Moments later, everyone saw the Wheel of Fortune approaching. Faces turned—some in awe, some in disbelief.

SCREECH—

Jack pulled to a stop and leaned casually against his D-Wheel. Yugo, Rin, even Satellite locals were screaming:

"That's Jack for you!"

"No one beats Jack!!"

"He's the people's champion!!"

The MC dropped from his hovercraft and ran to interview Jack—but Jack raised his hand.

And the MC choked on his words.

Jack was pointing… at KaibaCorp.

More specifically—at someone.

"Interesting."

"W-Wait, Jack! That wasn't part of the plan!" a woman's voice buzzed in his earpiece.

"Shut it!" Jack raised his arm again, fire in his eyes. "My soul is screaming! If I don't do this now, I may never get another chance!

It's burning inside me—telling me to Duel!

You! You're a Duelist too, aren't you?! Come—Duel me!!"

KaibaCorp stood in stunned silence. The first to react was Chazz Princeton, who stepped forward and shouted, "Master Kaiba, allow me—!"

"Mr. President!" several KaibaCorp staff rushed up in alarm.

But then—laughter.

"Hahahaha… interesting!"

A booming voice interrupted them. "Interesting, interesting! Jack Atlas, was it?

This is getting fun—"

Seto Kaiba stretched out a hand.

Beside him, Mokuba handed him a ridiculously old-model Duel Disk, already loaded with a pre-prepped Deck.

He'd been watching Duel after Duel… and now, he was itching for action.
