Star Wars: The Rise of New Order

(Jayden's PoV)

Within an hour, we arrived at the place that I saw in the memories that the serpent shared with me.

"I think this is the place", I spoke out.

As I saw in the memories, there are Blue Mountains, and the trees here looked different from what they did elsewhere. Though for us, all trees appear similar, for the locals, they don't. It was the reason why I gave them the information regarding the leaves back then.

By describing everything I saw, the Wookie guide easily took us to the location.

When we looked around, we could see that there was a shuffle here that occurred a few days ago. Though nature started to reclaim the land, the commotion was too much for such a short time to reclaim.

It would take months for nature to make it look like nothing has happened here.

"Search every inch near here. Find me anything that belongs to those poachers", Vos ordered.

Everyone started looking around to see if there were any items that could be helpful to us in finding the culprits of this disaster. The Wookie was especially active in his search. His people suffered because of the sin of someone else, and he wanted them to pay the price of that suffering.

While we were travelling here, Vos told us that the Wookie's child was one of the injured. Though there was no danger to his life, still, as a father, the wookie was pissed about the incident.

The Wookie original was on the team tracking the serpent, as he wanted it to pay for what it did, but when he learned all this was because of some poachers stealing its egg, his anger lessened a bit, especially when he learned that the egg can only be laid once a century and not every time it was guarnteed a child birth.

As a father, he understood the mother's pain a bit. So, he shifted his anger towards the poachers for causing so much pain for not just him and other wookies but also for a mother who has been waiting for a child to take birth for an eternity. It gave him an extra determination to find the culprits.

We searched every inch and found many things that belonged to the poachers. A broken gun, or some armour pieces or something else. We found a lot of items here.

Vos checked one by one to see what happened here.

He felt that those were not enough, and then went to the two spiral trees and touched one of them.

"Oh, so that's how it is", Vos muttered as he read the memories of the tree itself.

As an object of life that stood there for an eternity, there is a lot that the tree saw and experienced. So, it was a bit difficult for Vos, which I understood from his expressions, but when his face turned calm, I understood that it was working.

"What did you see, master?" Secura asked as soon as Vos opened his eyes.

"A wookie. One of the poachers was a rookie, and I think that's why the serpent was attacking the wookie settlements", Vos explained.

"Huh? A wookie? I didn't see any wookie. All I saw was that three were humans, two Rodians, two Nikto", I said to them.

I didn't see any Wookie in her memories.

Wait, did it remember their scents and follow?

Most probably, it was following the Wookie without knowing what it was following.

"From what I saw, the Wookie acted from afar for some reason. It didn't come near the serpent at all", Vos explained the situation.

Now, I am sure that the Serpent followed the scent. That Wookie should have known about the serpent and the egg. It should have been the local guide for those poachers. If not, unless they were lucky, it would be almost impossible to find such a rare creature in a foreign world.

Kashyyyk is not like other worlds with humanoid races, where merchants of other races visit frequently. Though there was some technological development, the facilities here are Wookie-friendly, not so much so for others.

Also, unless one considers the Wood from the forests of Kashyyyk, there was not much unique resource from this world that attracts the eyes of any capitalist.

With how unique those trees are, there is a chance that Kashyyyk has some unique minerals, but those trees make it almost impossible to even check for mines properly, much less actually mine and transport them. It would take too much time and effort to even check an area. So, only a few big players in mining were present, but they too were limited.

So, a wookie involved in this issue is pretty much understandable.

"So, once we find the Wookie, we can find the poachers", Secura said.

"Yes, but since another wookie was involved, this may cause some issues", Vos lamented as he thought something.

"What do you mean, Master Vos?" I asked.

It was my master who answered, "Wookies, though they appear barbaric and violent, they are one of the most peaceful races there is. They are very attuned with the forests of Kashyyyk, and when someone threatens the nature of Kashyyyk, these peaceful creatures would turn violent and someone from their own tribe causing that imbalance, they would be very pissed and they would want to punish the culprit themselves".

"Well, we can do nothing about that, but we hope that the wookies can identify who the other poachers are, that is, if that wookie is still on Kashyyyk. Even if it was still here, the egg might have been shipped out already. It has been a few weeks since this happened", Vos said.

Both Secura and I nodded our heads in agreement.

I hope that we get who the poachers are quickly, or it might end up as a trophy on someone's wall. Once that happens, even if we catch the culprits, what can that accomplish?
