Rita's Unseen Destiny.

Chapter 14: Will You Marry Me?

Carlson's hands trembled slightly as he held the small, velvet - covered box. He had been planning this moment the whole night, and he wanted everything to be perfect. He took a deep breath, got down on one knee, and looked up at Rita with adoring eyes.

"Rita, from the moment I met you, I knew that you were someone special," he began, his voice filled with emotion. " You light up my world in ways that I never thought possible. Your kind heart, your beautiful smile, and your infectious laugh all captured me, but it's your love, your support, and your encouragement that have made me the happiest man alive. "

Rita's eyes widened in surprise, and she grasped, softly. " Oh, Carlson! She exclaimed, her hands flying to her mouth. Rita's eyes began to shine with tears as Carlson continued, his voice trembling with passion.

" Rita, I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy. I want to wake up every morning with you by my side and fall asleep every night with your hand in mine. I want to build a life together, to explore the world together, and to create a home filled with love, laughter and adventures. Will you marry me? "

As he opened the box, revealing a stunning diamond ring, Rita gasped in surprise. The ring sparked in the light, it's beauty rivaling the radiance of Rita's smile.

Carlson's heart raced as he waited for her response. He had been so nervous about proposing, but now that the moment was here, he felt a sense of calm wash over him. He knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Rita, and he hoped that she felt the same way.

"Oh, Carlson! Rita exclaimed, her voice barely above a whisper. Yes, yes, a million times yes!"

Tears of joy streamed down her face, Rita nodded eagerly as Carlson slid the ring onto her finger. The fit was perfect, and the diamond seemed to glow with an inner light, symbolizing the love that they shared.

As they embraced, the world around them melted away, leaving only two of them, lost in their love.

As they hugged, Carlson couldn't help but notice the way the diamond sparked on Rita's finger. He had chosen the ring with great care, wanting it to be a perfect symbol of their love.

" I am so glad you like it, "he whispered, his lips brushing against her ear. " I love it, "Rita replied, her voice filled with emotions." But most of all, I love you. "

Carlson's heart swelled with happiness as he looked into Rita's eyes. He knew that this was just the beginning of their new life together.

As they pulled back, Carlson's eyes sparkled with mischief. " You know, I have been thinking, "he said, a sly grin spreading across his face.

" Oh yeah," Rita replied, her curiosity increased.

" I think we should start planning our wedding right away," Carlson said, his voice filled with excitement.

Rita's eyes widened in surprise but then, a huge grin spread across her face. "I was thinking the same thing!" She exclaimed.

Saturday morning at ten A. M at the council hall is when we should get married, "Carlson said, his eyes shinning with excitement. Rita's eyes widened in surprise, but then a huge grin spread across her face. " You want to get married on Saturday?" She asked, her voice filled with disbelief.

Carlson nodded eagerly. "Why wait?" he asked. We are both adults, we are in love, and we are ready to start our life together. Let's do it! "

Rita couldn't argue with that, she had never been one to wait around for things to happen, and she loved Carlson's spontaneity.

" Okay, let's do it! She exclaimed, sweeping Rita into his arms. "We shall get married on Saturday at ten A. M at the council Hall."

And with that, they sealed their engagement with a kiss, the diamond ring sparkling like a promise of their future together.

As they walked out of the restaurant, hand in hand, Carlson knew that this was just the beginning of their happily ever after.

Rita walked through the front door still on cloud nine after her engagement to Carlson. She was lost in thought, replaying the proposal and the excitement of their upcoming wedding.

Her mother, who was busy cooking dinner in the kitchen, noticed Rita's distant gaze and asked," Hey, sweetie, what's on your mind? You look like you are floating in the air!"

Rita's eyes sparkled as she held out her hand, displaying the beautiful diamond ring on her finger. Guess what, mom? I am engaged!"

Her mother's eyes widened in surprise, and she let out a squeal of delight. "Oh, Rita! Congratulations, darling! Who's the lucky man?"

Rita grinned mischievously. " You know exactly who it is, mom. It's Carlson!"

Her mother's face lit up with a warm smile. " I am so happy for you both! And when is the big day?" Rita's grin grew even wider. " We are getting married on Saturday at Ten A. M at the council hall!"

Her mother's eyes went wide with surprise. "In four days' time? Oh, Rita, that's so soon! Rita nodded enthusiastically. " I know, mom, but we can't wait to start our life together. We are so in love!".

Her mother smiled, seeing the happiness radiating from Rita's face. "Well, I couldn't have been happier for you both. Let's get to planning the wedding details, shall we?

The next morning, Rita and her mother set out on a mission to find the perfect wedding dress. They arrived at the bridal boutique, and Rita's mother could barely contain her excitement.

"Try on every dress you like, sweetie," she said, beaming with enthusiasm. "We want to find the one that makes you feel like a princess."

Rita giggled and began browsing through the racks of beautiful gowns. She tried on several dresses, but none of them seemed quite right.

Just when they were about to give up, Rita's mother spotted a stunning lace gown with a sweetheart neckline and delicate cap sleeves.

"Try this one, Rita, she urged. "I think it would be perfect for you. Rita slipped into the dress, and as she looked into the mirror, she gasped in amazement. The dress hugged her curves perfectly, and the lace sparkled in the light.

"Oh mom, this is it!" Rita exclaimed. This is the one!"

Her mother's eyes welled up with tears as she gazed at Rita in the mirror. You look absolutely stunning, sweetie. Carlson won't be able to take his eyes off you.

With the dress chosen, Rita and her mother spent the rest of the day finalizing the wedding details. They picked out flowers, cake, and even music for the ceremony.

As the sun began to set, Rita felt a sense of calm wash over her. She knew that everything was going to be perfect. She couldn't wait to walk down the aisle and start her new life with Carlson.
