 The next day, Carlson visited his mother, Misses Trump Everline. Carlson sat in his mother's cozy living room, sipping tea and chatting with her about his latest news. "Mom, I am engaged!" He exclaimed, barely containing his excitement. 

 Everline's eyes widened in surprise, and a warm smile spread across her face. "Oh, Carlson, that's wonderful! I am so happy for you. Tell me all about it, "she said, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. 

 Carlson eagerly shared every detail about Rita, their proposal, and their wedding plans. Everline listened attentively, beaming with joy. I am so glad you have found someone special, Carlson.

 I can't wait to meet Rita. "I should invite her over for a visit before the wedding, dear," she said, her voice filled with enthusiasm.

 As she reached her home, Rita excitedly called out to her mother, "mom, mom! guess what? Everline gave me the most beautiful gift!" 

 Her mother, Naome, came out of the kitchen, wiping her hands on a towel." Oh, sweetie, what is it? Let me see! " 

 Rita held out the necklace, and her mother's eyes widened in admiration. " Oh, it's stunning! Everline has exquisite taste. Try it on, Rita, let me see how it looks on you."

 Rita put on the necklace, and her mother helped her adjust it. They both admired their reflection in the mirror, beaming with joy.
