Chapter 273: The Mysterious Trio
Third Person's POV
Their legs tangled were together naturally and while appearing protective, he couldn't deny the quiet thrill of her soft warmth against his body.
He had only just taken Virelle's virginity and had fucked her for hours yet his desire hadn't fully abated.
The proximity of this alluring dark elf was enough to awaken his sleeping penis once again.
Aurae bit her lower lip and her cheeks burned as she felt something thick and hot pressing against her lower abdomen.
Even though she had not done something like this in her whole life, she instantly recognized what it was.
But rather than react with violence as she would have with any other man, she found herself frozen in an unfamiliar and confusing stillness.
To her own shock, she didn't even want to move away.
She fought the unfamiliar feeling rising within her chest as she felt a strange comfort of being held this closely by him.
His lean and muscular body exuded a deeply cold yet potent presence that oddly soothed her overheated nerves and brought a shiver down her spine.
His hard penis twitched again when he realized her legs were bare.
Her soft skin brushed against him and her forbidden place was shielded only by the short skirt she wore.
He could presume that this was an outfit she had chosen for stealth and ease during her nightly excursions.
At the same time, Aurae burned with fresh embarrassment as she realized that she was still dressed in her night attire.
Her skirt was hardly suited for such closeness and left little to the imagination, especially under the pressure of their shared hiding spot.
And Ethan still remembered its properties clearly.
The cloak provided its wearer with partial invisibility, but it wasn't foolproof.
Any cultivator at the Sky Realm with dark affinity or above Heaven Connection Realm of any affintiy could see through it without trouble.
As that thought crossed his mind, he instinctively pulled Aurae closer as if sheer closeness might make their hiding more effective.
The moment grew tense when three tall figures in black cloaks leapt silently onto the terrace from below.
Ethan narrowed his eyes and instantly started to assess them.
Each held a powerful aura and he presumed that all three were beings of at least the Elemental Sea Realm which was obviously not high enough to pierce the Ebon Veil Cloak's concealment.
Relieved, he relaxed his grip slightly but his thoughts remained sharp and vigilant as the trio scanned the rooftop and remained unaware of the hidden pair nestled in the shadow of the spire.
But these were clearly suspicious individuals as they were cloaked in shadow that concealed their identities beneath thick disguises and was clearly very different from the adventurers or demons still scouring the streets in pursuit of him.
There was something too deliberate and too composed in their presence that unsettled him.
He cursed inwardly and wondered why misfortune always seemed magnetically drawn to him.
Why did such shady incidents and troublesome characters consistently appear around him like flies to a corpse?
But just as he was ready to chalk it all up to his perpetual bad luck, Aurae, who had managed to regain her composure moved her lips silently.
A clear and precise whisper echoed directly into his ear as if carried by a secret current of air.
"Why did you manipulate me to stop on this specific building, young master?
Weren't you aware that this is the Vord family's most treasured establishment in the entire market district?"
Ethan's eyes widened in surprise at her unusual method of communication.
It was clearly different from the conventional sound transmission he was familiar with and was something clearly different and suited for stealth purposes.
His surprise was quickly replaced by awkward realization and his expression twisted into a sheepish grimace.
He now remembered clearly that he had instinctively chosen the tallest and most elegantly structured building for his covert meeting with the shadowy figure—who had unexpectedly, turned out to be Aurae.
Looks like this wasn't just another case of bad luck.
No, this one was on me. I should have thought before leaping onto the fanciest rooftop in the area…
Thibking that, he sighed inwardly.
Still, maybe this wasn't entirely a loss.
Perhaps this "coincidence" might unveil a secret worth uncovering.
Who would have thought that I would pick the most cherished property of the perverted Duke Vord for my night escapade? Maybe… maybe this is fate at work.
Just as he was contemplating the strange twist of events, Aurae suddenly brought her hand to her forehead and her expression lighted up with sudden realization. S
he murmured noiselessly once more as her voice gently flowed to his ears like a whispered breeze.
"Aii, I forgot that you only arrived in this city today. Of course, you wouldn't know anything about this place."
He nodded with subtle gratitude and appreciated how quickly she had understood his circumstances.
He was about to ask her more about what she had hinted at earlier—regarding the identity of that useless young master whose lackey he had fought in the Imperial Blade Hall when he was abruptly caught off guard.
The three cloaked figures below who had so far kept to themselves, suddenly shifted and began moving directly toward their position on the rooftop.
Ethan observed them in silence while knowing full well that neither the cloaked intruders nor anyone else could see him or the dark elf pressed against him.
The terrace directly below their position was eerily vacant and devoid of any trace of life.
The three figures glanced around briefly and scanned the surroundings for several seconds.
Once satisfied that no one was present, they retrieved a compact ladder from their storage equipment and began scaling the spire.
