Complete silence engulfed my patio as my variant selfs emerged from in it. Both Ji and Fuile seemed to be at a loss for words by what they just witnessed. So I had my featherman self come to me and I gave him the last sacrifice gu.

With these gu I could now swap places with myself at two different locations. Giving me a way to catch an opponent easier, as escaping one person is much easier than escaping three, and it also gave me the ability to escape danger we swapped places from afar. After he left Fuile finally spoke

Fuile[ their all the same but their each different types of humans. This is why you wanted those gu.... absolutely brilliant!! Theirs something I'd like to try grab a hold of me and try swapping places while were connected.]

I too wanted to see if I held someone what would happen. Would we teleport together or would she be left there in the same place. So I did as she said and activated living gu with the sacrifice gu that my human self held and just like last time I was swapped places with my human self almost immediately, but this time Fuile came along with me. Though I did notice that the amount of primeval essence needed was increased but it was still fractional.

Fuile[ This is wonderful with this we can send a small group inside the demonic clan and then have you bring us all there catching them all off guard. Hahahahahahahah]

Oh so like a wooden Trojan horse but instead of the gaint wooden horse its just me. That would work very well, they'd be aware of us but not prepared to fight against a full force they unknowingly brought in themselves.

As I was thinking so I looked over to see Ji touching my variant selfs gently on the arms as if she was afraid of destroying them. When she got to my iceman and dragonman self she grabbed the latter by the horn and the former by the cheek, causing my variant selfs discomfort so I told them to tell her to stop.

Iceman self[ stop that]

Dragonman self[ stop that]

Ji jumped backwards and then turned around to me and asked.

Ji[ they speak? How?]

Shu[ They can communicate but I tell them not to unless I want them to. I'm worried that if they say a lie I wouldn't be able to feed truth shines gu.]

That was all completely true, although I did not tell her how their able to speak. I assumed that it had to do with the will of self-being or that the fact that it's a human path killer move that allowed them to speak. I'm not a 100% sure that it's that, but it has also bothered me. Since they lack lungs, vocal cords, and true bodies in general.

Ji[ so... what are they?]

Shu[ they're me, but I'm guessing your asking about how I created them.]

Fuile[ I'm curious too, it's not everyday you see a group of people who happen to be the same person.]

Shu[ it's a killer move I accidentally created through a gu that I refined myself with some guidance from my master.]

Fuile[ so it was through the ceremony that the immortals do every now and then that let you create those gu huh?]

Looks like she knows more than I thought.

Shu[ Yes and no]

She frowned at my words but didn't argue she knows I wouldn't lie. Not with truth shines gu on my forehead to expose myself. She's probably upset I'm not telling her everything, but she knows she's not owed any explanation from me so she's not pushing it.

Fuile[ what would you say about selling the gu recipes or even just the gu. I'd even give you a rank 4 gu master inheritance for them.]

Shu[ Even if I wanted to I can't, one of the key gu needed to create them is a special one of a kind type of gu. Even if its just a rank 3 gu I don't think anyone else could refine it.]

At my words she seemed to give up the idea of trying any further at getting the gu. While Ji was now messing with my beastman selfs tail. Which was causing him to growl quietly at her, causing her to let his tail go and ask me a question.

Ji[ so what's this killer move called Shuidi?]

Shu[ I call it variant self]

Fuile[ variant self..... that's got a good ring to it huh?]

Ji[ I like it too, see I told you he'd be a good addition to the mission.]

Fuile[ alright, I've got to go and prepare some things for the mission. I'll have some people go with you to the demonic clan in about three days so be ready.]

After that they both left leaving me with my variant selfs... or so I thought until a voice called out to me.

Initel will[ the complete extermination of a demonic clan and you've got your hands on a useful gu for your killer move, I'm impressed and here I thought you'd have to rely on me to get those gu you wanted.]

Although I heard her I didn't see her.

Shu[ I thought so to, since connections are important and I thought I lacked them.]

Though I don't care about the unwanted attention from the females here. I have to remind myself that their still a form of connection. Both Ji and Luna could have been a way for me to get what I needed.

Initel will[ well at least I'll be entertained soon.]

Well enough about that I want to test out my new gu. Activating living gu I swapped places with my featherman self. Who was by now several miles away deep in a forest. I appeared up in the sky and landed heavily on to the ground where I caused cracks to appear all over. This would make a devastating attack, I check my primeval sea essence and saw that only one percent was used.

Even if I was taking someone with me I wouldn't waste much primeval sea essence, but the amount of people and the distance definitely play a part in the primeval sea essence used. Living sacrifice gu primeval sea essence usage all depends on the users and how willing the holder of sacrifice gu is at swapping places, and since its my variant selfs theirs no hesitation. Making the cost low, these gu remind me of Minato from Naruto. Who could just spam his flying rajin from anywhere for little chakra cost.

Although mines a bootleg heavily watered down version, but it felt amazing to use. I kept using living sacrifice gu from the ground in my cozy home to the sky and back and forth. It was like a way of running and I was on a runners high. It wasn't until I heard Initel speak that I was brought out of that highness.

Initel's will[ if you were to stop messing around you would notice something important about your new gu.]

I looked at my aperture to look at living gu but I noticed nothing wrong with it.

Shu[ what's wrong, I see nothing wrong with living gu?]

Initel's will[ I never said something was wrong with them, no if anything its something good. It seems the more you use these gu they slowly become refined.]

Shu[ Your saying that my usage of them is refining them? Are they becoming a new gu or simply being refined to the next rank?]

Initel's will[ their slowly being refined to the next rank, hmmmmmm I've never seen a high rank living sacrifice gu personally, but don't get your hopes high. I already know that the immortal version already exists and immortal gu are unique so only one can exist at a given time.]

Well thats probably for the best. If I could refine them to rank 6, I'm sure Initel would have me do so and then she'd gladly take them. What kind of immortal would let a nobody mortal have a immortal gu. Even if she did let me keep them, I wouldn't be able to use them anymore. Since I can't activate an immortal gu with primeval sea essence. Not to mention all the other immortals who would gladly end me to take them.

Shu[ How long till they advance?]

Initel's will[ hmmmm from the amount its progressing... I'd say a month, by then it'll reach rank 3. You lucky kid you know the difference between living sacrifice gu when it comes to ranks.]

Shu[ Yeah the higher it rank the more sacrifice gu. So at rank 3 I'll have three sacrifice gu, but why would my usage further refine it?]

Initel's will[ your the human path gu master, you tell me.]

I went back home and ordered my featherman self to return home, I'm curious to see why living sacrifice gu is refining. With my attainment, all the info I've gathered about these gu, and self-being gu to assist me. I refuse to believe that I couldn't figure it out.

Using my self-being wills and the information I have about living sacrifice gu. It wasn't hard to figure out why it was being refined with everything I had, and it was all thanks to me knowing how its refined initially. Living sacrifice gu are refined naturally on two separate humans that have close ties.

Well atleast close on one side, in most cases these gu are refined naturally by either parents or lovers. Let's say a mother who deeply loves her child and needs to quickly swap places with her child and the child is in a place where they don't want to be and just want to go away. They will both naturally refine living sacrifice gu and swap places with each other.

That's why their can be multiple sacrifice gu as their can be multiple people wanting to swap places with a specific person. However the feelings must be from genuine care. That's why my living sacrifice gu are being refined further naturally. My variant selfs count as beings that truly care about my well being and are very willing to swap places with me.

So it wasn't the use of living sacrifice gu that was refining them but the fact that I meet all the requirements to refine the gu now that my variant selfs want to swap with me and I'm willing to swap as well, and since I have 8 other variant selfs without sacrifice gu. My current living sacrifice gu are being refined further naturally.

Well free refinement is more than welcomed, but I wouldn't want it to rank up past rank 3. If it reaches rank 4 or 5 It'd be to expensive primeval sea essence wise to use. Technically so long as I don't have more than two variant selfs out it shouldn't further refine naturally. Well for now I don't mind it reaching rank 3, that way it's perfectly suited for me.

So for now its fine if I have my other variant selfs out, but once it reaches rank 3 I'll try my best to only have three variant selfs out. For now I'll keep them out until I need to leave for the mission.

.......one day later...

I was in my courtyard trying to deepen my understanding of the great dao by going over the story. I've been doing it ever night since the immortals used Enlightenment's New Wave on me. I was able to understand a few things but nothing major, but it was still an important thing to do.

As I was going over the story I felt the aura of a rank 1 gu emerge for the other side of the courtyard. I got up and walked over there as that was where my hairyman self always attempts his refinements.

My hairyman self had felt my approach and extended his hand with the newly refined gu. I took the gu and instantly refined it with my primeval sea essence. The gu was a small grey moth with a hole on both its wings making it incapable of flight.

Rank 1 beggar moth gu, after all this time and resources used and countless failures. My hairyman self finally refined this gu, I've had him trying since I had created a variant self. I took in my hairyman selfs will and learned from his experience..... ah refinement is such a pain.

After learning what my hairyman self had used I learned that all he did was add one new ingredient that helped stabilize the refinement. I had a good idea on how to refine beggar moth gu thanks to my attainment but some of the ingredients that I believed that would have worked best were unusable.

I had deduced that the flesh or aperture of a rank 1 gu master would help refine the gu and increase the success rate of the refinement, but how could I possibly use those materials as a righteous gu master. So I had to settle for blood and hair from rank 1 gu masters. As for the new ingredient used that helped refining beggar moth gu was a variant of a banana called ever the blooming fruit.

Just about all wild banana trees need to be pollinated to bear fruit but this tree does not need to do anything. Apparently it capable of pollinating without any external help. This tree apparently has some ties with space path inorder to do this. I wonder did it work because the fruit could be considered a space path material or because bananas have about 60% DNA in common with humans..... maybe it's both.

I refilled the hairyman will and decided to name him as its getting a bit confusing just calling it my hairyman self. At first I thought of calling him long hair but decided not to... well why not call him after something that only I know of. I can't help but to remember one piece and all of the human human fruits shown. I let out my hairyman self after refilling his will.
