Fuile[ that's right the demonic clan is called Slin.]

Shu[ And you want me somebody's who's barely rank 3 to help you exterminate a whole clan?]

Fuile[ we'll have a few more rank 3 gu masters with us and even another rank 4]

Shu[ A few? Is this Slin clan small and what rank is their clan leader?]

Fuile[ their not a large clan they barely qualify to be considered a small clan with only 12 known rank 3 gu masters, but their clan leader is at rank 4. Thats why another rank 4 gu master will assist me in defeating him.]

Shu[ This is alot to process.... eliminating a whole clan is no simple feat, but again why ask me for help. Surely your branch has enough capable hands to help you]

Ji[ even in our branch we have some difficult family members, that make things hard for us Shuidi. For a large dangerous mission like this it's best to have reliable trusted people.]

Fuile[ we also just can't send our whole force for one mission. That's a recipe for disaster.]

Well I guess that makes sense to an extent, and the clan doesn't sound that dangerous so far.

Shu[ tell me about the clan it self, what path do they specializes in? You mentioned that it was a demonic clan why are they considered so?]

Fuile[ their a diabolical soul path clan]

A soul path clan? Thats not good I have no way to defend myself from any soul path attack. As for soul path being considered diabolical, in this world soul path is considered evil. Not all of it but those who only focus on soul path are looked down on. Since lots of soul path materials, gu, and attacks are considered demonic.

The only reason it's not considered a full on demonic path is because soul path methods are still needed by wisdom, information, enslavement, and refinement path gu masters. Who still need to refine and strengthen their own soul, but those who use evil soul path gu are hated by all especially the righteous path gu masters.

Shu[ I'm sorry but I have no means to defend myself from any soul path attack. I'd just be a liability to you all.]

Fuile[ I'd be more surprised if you did have a method to protect yourself from soul path attacks. Don't worry about that we'll have someone who specializes in soul path cast a shield that'll protect you from their attacks. She'll even be on standby so even if you need another shield she'll be able to cast it again.]

Ji[ we've made the necessary preparations, we just need trusted strong gu masters. Rank 3 is the minimum requirement for this mission and I know more than most that your definitely strong enough for this mission.]

If that's so I wouldn't have to worry much about their attacks, but is it really worth it for me to take the risk? I don't care much about primeval essence stones since I'm now rank 3 I can easily earn them. I was even planning on going out to hunt beast kings, but their is something that I'd like to get my hands on and they might just be able to get it for me.

Shu[ I'll do it....if the price is right.]

Ji[ trust me the amount of primeval essence stones we'll make plus what we take from the enemy will be well worth it.]

Shu[ I don't want primeval essence stones from you though.]

Fuile[ what do you want then?]

Shu[ their is some certain gu I want to get, but because of their rarity I couldn't even get them if I wanted to, well at least not easily. Get me the gu first and I'm in you won't have to pay me primeval essence stones.]

Fuile[ what gu?]

Shu[ Doting Mother and Traveling son or living sacrifice gu.]

The request for these gu seemed to have caught both Fuile and Ji off guard. As both of them made a face, Ji's was a look of confusion while Fuile just seemed a bit put off as if I said something crazy.

Fuile[ these gu are known for escaping life threatening situations. You want these gu to save yourself from danger? With that mindset I'm starting to think you might not be the right pick for this mission even if Ji is vouching for you.]

Shu[ True these gu are known for that, but that's not the main reason why I want those gu. Of course if I'm put in a life threatening situation obviously I'd use them to escape, but those gu in my hands can be used for combat.]

My last sentence seemed to have caught both them off guard. As they must have been wondering how these gu that were known for escaping danger could be used for combat.

Shu[ come now surely you two know that their is no useless gu only useless gu masters. If placed in the right gu masters hand who has compatible gu only then will a Gu's worth truly shine.]

Fuile[ alright I'll take a gamble and believe in you, but only if you show me the proof that their much more useful in your hands.]

Shu[ Get me the gu and I'll gladly show you just how useful they'll be in my hands.]

She brought out a gu from her aperture but I didn't get to see it before it bore into the earth and disappeared. It must have been some information type gu.

Ji[ wait I know about doting mother and traveling son gu but what's living sacrifice gu?]

Fuile[ doting mother and traveling son gu are well known rare emotion path gu. Activating traveling son gu will quickly bring its user to the holder of doting mother gu, because of that many people are willing to pay a huge price for them. That's why their so hard to get, but living sacrifice gu is a difficult to use space path gu.]

Shu[ Living sacrifice gu is also a two part gu and depending on its rank its more. Their is living gu and sacrifice gu, two people must be holding one of these gu. If the holder of living gu uses it they might switch places with the holder of sacrifice gu.]

Ji[ might?]

Fuile[ yeah might, since the holder of sacrifice gu must be willing to swap places with the user of living gu, and most people who use this gu will use it if their life is in danger. Thus their names the person using living gu will survive while the holder of sacrifice gu will become a sacrifice, because of that almost no one uses these gu.

Since most people will not willingly chose to die and the hesitation of sacrifice gu could slow down the swapping with the holder of living gu, which could lead to the death of both of them. I've only heard of a few people successfully using those gu, and that's by getting slaves and having certain gu to force them to willingly swap places with them.]

That's only what most people think as all these gu are actually human path gu. That's the main reason why I want them, the odds of them working with my variant selfs is high, and hopefully I can deepen my understanding of human path by adding them to my gu set and constantly using them. Since their human path gu that's probably the real reason why these gu are so rare.

Most gu that teleport or quickly move a gu master won't work for me, not with all the permanent strength dao marks on my body. Normally only strength path gu would work well in my situation. However thats the greatest thing about human path as it doesn't clash with other paths. I've already made some deductions about these gu and if I'm right then they'd be perfect for me.

As I was lost in my thoughts the sound of knocking brought me out of my mind. I sent my human self to open the door. A woman was then let into my patio where she greeted us all.

???[ lady Fuile sadly their was only a rank 2 living sacrifice gu in our gu vault.]

Fuile[ that's fine just give the gu to him and leave.]

The lady handed me three gu in total, two light green frogs and one dark green frog egg. The two frogs were sacrifice gu while the frog egg was living gu. I took the gu and was able to refine them with ease as the will inside helped me do so. I then left living gu in my aperture while I held the two sacrifice gu in my left hand.

Fuile[ So how do you plan on using sacrifice gu? Are you gonna ask Ji or I to hold on to them? Or do you have a gu that'll be able to help you use them some how?]

I chose not to answer her directly, as my human self entered the room. Shocking both of them as an identical version of myself entered the room. Both of them were at loss for words, so I handed my human self one of the living gu.

Finally I can test these gu and see whether or not they'll work with my variant self killer move. Instilling a fractional amount of primeval sea essence into living gu. My whole body swapped places with my human self just about instantly.

Ji[ you activated the gu but did it work I can't tell you two look the same. Also who is he?]

She pointed at the real me as I had just swapped places with my human self. I chuckled to myself softly and answered her

Shu[ it work and it worked instantaneously like I suspected it would.]

Fuile walked around myself and my human self looking up and down at my human self.

Fuile[ He's not a real human, he doesn't have a drop of water in him besides sacrifice gu. So he must be some result of a gu or killer move. It's a shame that theirs only one other you other wise you'd be able to use that other sacrifice gu too, but with this I can definitely see how you could make use of these gu in combat and even outside of combat.]

I'm not that shocked that she figured it out so quickly. She's rank 4 she definitely has gu to help her investigate to some degree and my variant self killer move is far from indistinguishable.

Shu[ Who said that their was only one other version of myself?]

I activated self-reliance gu and all 9 other variant selfs appeared. I then let the self being wills go into all of them and the patio was now full with my variant selfs.
