Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World

Chapter 287: Personal

"Katari, we shall start from his anus," Kael said, his words dropping like the scythe of the grim reaper.

The words stunned Isaiah, he quickly used the telepathic channel to call out, "Wait! What do you mean?"

"Don't worry, the pain will only be so painful," Kael said, sounding a bit sadistic.

Katari looked up from Isaiah's face, staring at Kael's face as if she was falling in love all over again.

"But I answered everything you asked, you said gay you'd give me an easy death! Please!" Isaiah struggled but Katari's hand that was pressed in his neck didn't allow him to move at all.

"Tell me, Isaiah, how did you meet dear old Darius," Kael said.

"I met him when I was migrating with my flock when I was little," Isaiah hurriedly answered with desperation.

"He was traveling alone and I kept him company, I traveled on his back, and he introduced me to…"

"I didn't ask you for those things. What direction was he traveling from?" Kael asked.

Isaiah paused again, not because he wanted to keep the answer to himself but because he had to think for a moment to recall the details.

It had been so long.

However, Katari boiled with glee as Isaiah had given her a reason to act. She flicked her fingers, causing a small fist-sized amalgamation of spatial blades to form in front of Isaiah's genitalia.

Isaiah felt a chill run down his spine and goosebumps rose on his arms. His mind operated at its fastest speed.

"From the wild plains! From the wild plains!" Isaiah shouted telepathically, "He was coming through the wild plains. I reckon that to get to his birthplace, you'd have to cross the wild plains."

Kael signaled for Katari to stop, bringing relief to Isaiah.

"One final question," Kael said, "Answer this question well and I'll send you on your way to the underworld, yeah."

Isaiah nodded.

"You're a bird, that means you fly a lot, that means you've migrated a lot with your folks, that means you've seen more of the world than most land-based creatures will ever see in their lifetime.

Am I right, Isaiah?" Kael asked.

Isaiah nodded.

"Tell me, how many continents exist like this one? Land mass so big it contains all of us. How many more are like this?" Kael asked.

He needed to know the geography of this world if he wanted to conquer it. He could have asked any of the other birds that usually migrated but since Isaiah was here, why not.

"Just one," Isaiah said, "This continent, there's just one like it. I've traveled far beyond the continent before and I never saw any other land mass like it.

There were many islands, but that's it, just islands, none would be equal to a tenth of this continent."

"Is that so," Kael leaned back, a cold expression appearing on his face, "So it's just one supercontinent,"

Isaiah nodded, even though he did not know what Kael was talking about.

He looked up at Kael's eyes and saw that Kael had no warmth in his eyes. Those beautiful golden eyes were as cold as ice.

"Isaiah, do you regret what you did?" Kael suddenly asked as he stepped away from Isaiah's body, pulling his hand away from the stomp.

"Yes, I do," Isaiah answered, feeling an ominous feeling.

"Perhaps you do," Kael said, "But regret is not enough.

The moment you acted against me, I had this uncontrollable rage burning within. Rage that would have consumed me if I wasn't as level-headed as I was at that time.

As I stare at you right now, I can't think of anything that I would do to you right now. Truthfully, I just want to hurt you, that's all

But I must also thank you," Kael smiled, "Without your actions, a lot of things wouldn't have unfolded the way it was supposed to. You can say that I owe a part of my success to you.

And for that, I will forgive you. I, me, Kael, I forgive you," Kael sighed.

He folded his arms against his chest, causing his chest muscles to bulge through the black shirt fabric.

"But that's just me. My forgiveness is different from Katari's forgiveness," Kael added with a mischievous smile and Katari returned the smile back to him.

Isaiah's chest rose and fell rapidly as he took in deep breaths. He could feel Katari's handhold getting tighter.

"Katari, my dear, how do you forgive?" Kael asked.

Katari beamed, "My forgiveness is expensive Your Majesty, and the price is pain,"

"No, please…" Isaiah was saying but Kael immediately cut off the telepathic channel, no longer interested in what he had to say.

He looked at Katari, "Xu Ying put something inside him, the limit seal. Let's find it,"

Katari nodded and flicked her wrist, causing the amalgamation of small spatial blades to begin spinning in front of Isaiah's genitals again.

Then, the spatial blades all collapsed on each other to form one tiny circular and transparent blade.

The blade slowly descended until it was below Isaiah's penis and positioned in front of his anus.

Feeling the cold air down there, Isaiah clenched his ass, in a last attempt to resist the inevitable.

Alas, he forgot that Katari was a space lion, if she wanted to get something somewhere, she could bypass many things.

She could easily tear through his balls which were blocking the way but she resisted that urge, those should be left for another session.

Yes, another session.

Like the dagger of a ghost, the small spatial blade teleported away and appeared in between the flesh of Isaiah's two ass cheeks.

Isaiah felt the cold numbing surface of the solid spatial blade and cried.

Then the blade moved, causing him to cry harder. No matter how hard he clenched his cheeks, the blade did not stop moving toward his ass hole.

Katari intentionally took time to control the blade so that it would move slowly. She was very particular about not giving Isaiah a swift death.

Then, the tip of the transparent blade touched the edge of his anus.

Isaiah froze, feeling the object easily and slowly cutting through the edge of his anus. At first, the feeling was completely cold, like the touch of plastic, but that feeling didn't last up to a second.

Pain shot through Isaiah's nerves like boiling lava, making his mind go blank and his body's actions to become purely instinctive.

He raised his knee up and pressed his feet firmly on the cold marble top, pushing his pelvis upward, another attempt to get away.

But as usual, Katari's hand held him in place while she mindfully began to expand the entrance of his ass.

Blood began to pool on the marble top, flowing down the sides as it should and dripping to the floor. The blood then flowed toward the drainage.

While the spatial blade was cutting into Isaiah's ass, the former bird screamed at the top of his lungs. The absence of a tongue didn't take away his ability to make noise and Katari didn't stop him from doing so, she took in the sound of his screams very well.

Kael just stood to the side, observing Isaiah with a blank expression on his face. He wasn't deriving any joy from watching this torture.

He didn't feel satisfied or fulfilled, he didn't even feel like his revenge was taken. He felt rather…empty.

Kael felt as though he was wasting his time here. He had a rising sense of irritation bubbling at the depths of his stomach, a gut feeling that told him that there was no longer any point to this.

He had gotten the information, he had gotten what he needed. But revenge? Revenge was a personal thing.

That was the problem Kael was facing now, that revenge was personal. When last had he taken anything personally?

Kael felt a disconnect with a lot of things that were going on around him. He was becoming numb.

In the past, he was just getting used to all the death, violence, gore, and politics. But now, all those things were giving him a numbing sensation.

Nothing personal, just business. That was the phrase many gangsters and businessmen used when making unethical decisions in their past lives.

That's how he felt now, his business was power and anything that didn't bring him power could not be taken personally.

What they were doing to Isaiah right now, this was no longer revenge. This was just him whiling away time.

Perhaps, Exalon's brief lecture had led to this introspection, perhaps…

'Does she enjoy it?' Kael asked himself as he watched Katari do her work. He noticed that the smile on her face occasionally disappeared and appeared in cycles.

Katari wasn't enjoying it, but she actually wanted to make Isaiah suffer. It wasn't a matter of whether she was enjoying it, it was a matter of desire, to satisfy that numbing feeling she still had in her neck.

Although Kael continued to observe his constantly evolving mindset, his face remained as cold as a statue's and his body remained still.

Maintaining that regal aloofness, Kael observed Isaiah's body which seemed eerily human at this point.

Then, Kael frowned as he realized something.

Isaiah did not look like a human, he WAS a human.
