Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World

Chapter 283: The Abomination

Exalon: *sigh* Noel…he tried his best.

Kael: I thought so.

Kael didn't wish to tell Exalon about the memories or let him know that he knew about it.

Without Exalon, he wouldn't have known what had happened after Derylia's death as Derylia would have no memory of the events after her death.

He wouldn't have known that Sakan was the one who started the war. He wouldn't have known how the lions suffered at the claws of the dragons.

What he could learn from Noel's memories will be there waiting for him, and he shall observe everything in detail. But he would listen to Exalon's explanation as a way to fill in the gaps.

Exalon: At the time, about a million years after Sakan's war. Noel was born.

One of the painful parts of that was the aftereffects, how long it took the lions to recover and get back on their feet.

The top-level lions had gone into hermit modes, either trying to prevent themselves from dying or to serve as the last foundations of the civilization.

Many had died during Sakan's rampage and those that existed at that time were the few who managed to gain that power for themselves.

The more powerful a civilization is, the harder it is for them to recover from that kind of devastating blow.

Even after close to a million years, we were still recovering, struggling to assemble our technologies, like the warp gates, magic shuttles, and so on.

Noel was not born in heaven. He was like you, born on a planet away from heaven. Unfortunately, he wasn't hidden like you were.

Noel only realized the type of lion he was after he was attacked by an anti-primordial activist.

Imagine, he learned his purpose through the hostility of his own kind. One thing led to another and Noel fought that particular Lion to a draw, according to rumors.

It was from the defeat of that lion Noel learned of many things, he learned that other lions existed beyond his world, and he learned that for some reason, many of them hated him.

Thankfully, the lions were still busy trying to rebuild their civilization and restore everything to the way it was. The top-tier lions were too busy to actively go around, searching for the Primordial Lion.

Although they hated Derylia, not everyone had realized that they could just eliminate the Primordial Lion yet. As a matter of fact, many were still looking forward to the coming of another Primordial Lion to help them get back on their feet.

After all, historically, the Primordial Lions were the ones to always usher in an era of prosperity, besides Derylia.

This allowed Noel to have some room for growth. Not much is known about his early years but we do know that he had to deal with the resentment and grievances of many Lions while still proving his strength, leading the clans, and helping in rebuilding the civilization any way he could.

The more Noel grew, the more he began to despise everything that wasn't a lion. He was aware of what Derylia had done and he started seeing each foreign race as either food, slave, or a walking liability to the lion race.

Perhaps, this was why Noel was able to rally everybody that time, he shared their disdain for everything non-lion.

Noel grew up in a pride of Magus Lions so you can say that he had been exposed to making intelligent decisions and he was fully capable of critical thinking.

As time went on, he conquered one world after the other. He used lions the way they loved to be used, as leaders who would oversee everything.

It was the other creatures of the universe that were forced to fight our wars. Noel began to gain more ground in the cosmos and the lions in heaven were starting to notice him more.

He contributed to the modification of the Arkships. Yes, we had Arkships before then but it was mostly not as functional as it is today. Back then, it was just a really big magic shuttle, not a mobile world

Noel championed the modification of our technologies, contributing his mind to the work while also dividing his attention to make sure we don't stop Conquering.

Mind you, everything Noel was doing was not easy at all. He had to make sure we reclaimed all that was ours while thinking of other ways to increase our advantage.

Getting a heavenly beacon was easy for him, one of the lion kings then had just offered it to him, allowing Noel to be able to enter and leave heaven without anyone's permission.

But then, something happened…

"No, no, no,..." Kael shook his head as his body got tensed. His mind churned as a section of Noel's memories began to stir from Exalon's messages.

Kael used all his willpower to suppress it, but even then, some flashes began to appear.

Exalon: …Ibadon was still alive.

The spawn of Derylia and Sakan was still alive, and he was not good. After a million years, this guy was still lurking around in the dragon camp

I don't know if there is any way to describe the determination, the manipulation, the ruthlessness of Ibadon.

An egotistical lion and a temperamental dragon, combined into one, a dragon-lion hybrid.

The Primordial Dragon, Ibadon's grandfather had just died and the dragons were looking for a new AllDragon to replace him.

Ibadon is said to have slaughtered every single Dragon that so much as looked at him wrongly. Ibadon didn't even care if anyone was innocent, as long as they were suspicious to him, he would kill them.

He couldn't let anything stand in the way of his revenge.

Kael began to see flashes of being, an entity of massive proportions.

Black horns, long tail, black wings, grey serpentine eyes, dark red body.

Ibadon The Abomination.

Exalon: …Ibadon's mentality was…different.

He felt that his purpose in life was to eliminate the lion race from the corners of time, space, and reality. He saw the lions as a cancer, a disease that had to be removed for the greater good.

But that was almost an excuse. Ibadon clearly hated the lions because they were the cause of both his parent's death.

He wasn't wrong, the lions were indeed responsible for their death.

Ibadon had allowed his hatred for the lions to boil down into revenge, and over the one million years he was waiting, that revenge transformed into purpose.

It's so bad that Ibadon had literally told Noel that he would only accept death once he was certain lions did not exist any longer.

Without warning, Ibadon waged a xenocide campaign against the lions, determined to wipe us out of the world for good.

Kael's head hung loosely as he rubbed the bridge of his nose with his two fingers.

More images flashed through his mind, images of Noel communicating with Ibadon through a certain communication device.

Because he was still consciously trying to suppress it, the memory was foggy and blurry, but he knew that this was a memory of Noel talking to Ibadon.

"...No, I won't stop," A frighteningly calm voice was heard from the hacked holographic projector in front of Noel.

"...No, I have to make sure that the stench of the lions is completely wiped off from the universe.

One day, I will make sure that I am the only being in existence to possess lion blood running through my veins.

Only then will I be able to die happily, hahahaha. Until then, I shall cherish this misery that we call life…"

Exalon: Noel was pressured, he had not yet met Ibadon but he was already losing.

Ibadon possessed powers that no one should ever have. He was not just the bane of all lions, but also all dragons.

Hence, 'the abomination' was often tied to his name.

The pressure of Ibadon hung on Noel's head, causing him to grow stronger at a frightening pace.

The second Lion-Dragon war had begun, and this one was also tied to Derylia.

Fortunately, the dragons of this era did not have Conquering Essence to spare, so it was back to regular warfare.

Except that the dragon had the natural enemy of the lions on their side.

Soon, Noel reached the maximum tier any lion had ever reached. This was unprecedented as the last lion to be at this tier was Alan The First.

This tier granted Noel immortality and god-like powers in heaven but he didn't get to enjoy it.

Just because it was the highest tier any lion had ever reached didn't mean it was the universal highest tier. Noel was not invincible.

Using his intellect, Noel came to a saddening conclusion. Because of Ibadon's power, the best way to kill him would be to detonate himself in front of Ibadon.

It wasn't as if Noel was a saint or a martyr, he loved life like you and I. But there was no one else that would be able to do it, no one at all. He was the only one capable of carrying that burden.

It was saddening but that was the surest method he knew of. His power, when detonated, should be enough to kill not just Ibadon, but many high-level dragons as well.

He just needed a chance to get close. Noel found this chance at the battle of Eichhond Galaxy, using the heavenly gate of the dragons to storm into Draconic Heaven.

History was to repeat itself again, Sakan invaded Leonine Heaven, and Noel invaded Draconic Heaven.

The sound of Noel's body exploding resounded through the heavenly gate just before it shattered and collapsed in itself. All that was left was the sorrowful roars of Noel and Ibadon, roars that shook the very foundation of reality.

Alas, Noel sacrificed himself in vain. Many high-level dragons died, but Ibadon remained alive.

Up till today, Ibadon still lives.
