Chapter 147: Three against one
The three fingers which were cut earlier by Han Yan came together to form a clump of flesh.
The Perpetuity Halo appeared behind the clump and reformed it into a person.
"Regeneration is even faster when I don't obliterate all my cells," Executioner White said with a thoughtful look.
As for his new attacks,
Bian was left unscathed by the explosion. It couldn't even get his body to ring out.
"No matter, once I handle the girl, then I can get back to my original tactic to deal with him."
Executioner White turned to face Han Yan.
Her armor was broken in several places and melted in several more.
Her white wings were singed black and could barely hold up her weight. She was bleeding from her mouth and ears, obviously having suffered internal injuries.
So what if she could cut into an explosion? Could she do the same for seven explosions going off at the same time, with her in the middle?
She could survive at most two attacks before she was out, then the fight would be over.
"Blame yourself for choosing the wrong side," Executioner White said slowly.
Roar!!!
Suddenly, the skies themselves reverberated with a ferocious roar.
A golden lion, bigger than a mountain, approached them and leaped up.
Executioner White scoffed and watched coldly.
He had been swallowed by a super creature before, and that was when he had just evolved.
Dealing with these now was not too difficult for him.
Although he had Break Six Skies since he was in the first sanctuary, he didn't dare to practice it, as it was suicide straight up.
Even in the second sanctuary, when he could recover from all normal attacks, he didn't use this move.
Once all his cells were evaporated, he would be done for.
It wasn't until he became a surpasser and gained the Perpetuity Halo that he could freely use the move.
Even then, he didn't dare use it for hunting, as there would be nothing left to eat afterward.
Other than today, he had only used the move before when he was swallowed by a super creature.
He still remembered the sensation of being digested and how he was unable to escape.
Back then, he had already used teleportation to avoid the creature once, he couldn't use it again so soon.
In that endless cycle of digestion and regeneration, he used the move for the first time and blew up the creature.
Now wouldn't be any different.
The giant lion leaped into the air with its mouth agape, about to swallow him whole.
The gaping maw of the beast was like an unstoppable force of nature. No one in their right mind would want to be swallowed by it.
Executioner White went against his self-preservation instinct to dodge and stood still.
If he was swallowed by the beast, he reasoned that the girl's strange powers wouldn't work while she couldn't see him.
He might be able to kill her with a supernova explosion.
Bang!
A punch landed on the top of his head, forcing it down into his torso as he was knocked out of the sky.
Blood trailed behind as he fell to the ground like a reverse firework.
The Golden Growler had already disappeared, and Man Tian rushed up to the floating Bian.
Pressed for time, Bian could only give him a nod and quickly explain.
"He is immortal in every sense of the way. He can also blow himself up, but Han Yan can delay the arming time."
Since he wasn't regenerating from nothing, Executioner White quickly recovered and looked at the new contender.
"The more, the merrier," he said with a shrug, eager to find out if Man Tian could also survive a supernova explosion.
His body began glowing a bright light.
This time, Han Yan didn't wait and immediately swung her diamond greatsword.
Although she was far away from the Executioner, his body was sliced apart regardless of the distance.
She wasn't idle as she attacked.
Her slightly damaged wings flapped with her as she used her strongest movement technique to retreat.
Bian was still wary of the vibrations caused by the supernova explosion and also retreated using his fastest techniques and beast soul wings.
"It's not enough to just retreat. You still have to defend against the blast and the subsequent explosion," Bian said to Man Tian as they retreated.
Although Man Tian was the last to start moving, he had already caught up to the retreating pair and even moved past them.
All with his pure body, no wings in sight.
Bian was the slowest among the three, but this was his speed in the air.
He didn't have much time to explain and focused all his energy on retreating before...
BOOM!
A star exploded!
The blast spread far and wide, consuming everything around it.
The desolate land was devastated even further.
Like before, Han Yan cut the initial explosion, which had already weakened greatly before it reached her, while Bian blocked it using his tyrannically tough body.
Man Tian also crossed his guards and summoned a beast soul shield.
The space around him seemed to thicken, and even the air formed a barrier to protect him.
These were the signs that he had synced with the heavens and was worldbound.
With every breath, the wind obeyed, and with a step, the earth dragon turned.
The explosion met the barrier and was delayed for a second before shattering it.
Man Tian had to face a fraction of the original power, but his face changed as he came into contact with it.
The shield heated up, turning red-hot and scalding his hands.
The worst was over, but not done for.
A void was left at the center of the explosion and began to rapidly fill itself, causing an implosion that nearly dragged him in as well.
Finally, there was a smaller second explosion, which contrasted sharply against the pulling force he was just resisting.
He almost lost his balance and flew backward.
Man Tian couldn't help but admire his friends, who had been dealing with such attacks.
Bian was practically unscathed, save for his armor, which had broken and had to be replaced.
Han Yan, on the other hand, wasn't doing so well. She had suffered several injuries before, which were aggravated and grew worse with the recent explosion.
Her face was deathly pale, and it was obvious she would be critically injured if this went on for much longer.
"We have some time before he regenerates," Bian said as he came over and supported Han Yan.
Although her injuries looked worse than they actually were, she still had even more severe circumstances to face once the fusion came undone.
Thinking of the special power of the angel to fuse reminded him of Tyrant.
Tyrant had returned to his soul sea while he was recovering. He didn't bother to bring him out because there wasn't much Tyrant could do against Executioner White.
'But Tyrant also has a special skill like the fusion of the holy angel. It's just unknown if the skill could change our predicament.'
Bian let out a heavy breath.
Han Yan took some time to steady herself before saying,
"I can't cut his aura using the Falsified-Sky Sutra. I need to get close and cleave it with my actual blade."
She said it with determination.
Bian grimaced at the thought of her getting close to a human nuke.
Already, said nuke was regenerating and was almost complete. There was no time to argue.
If Han Yan could cut away his aura, though, then he would be subject to the Emperical Aura.
The rest would be history.
Once they could kill him in the Emperical Aura, there was no need to worry about regression or reformation.
He would be utterly dead.
Still, she would have to attack him and get away before he exploded.
It was a very risky move.
Executioner White had already regenerated and turned to face them.
His neck was craned up as he looked at those figures in the sky.
Truly, because he couldn't kill them in time, one more had joined, and this guy was also a monster.
Anyone who could survive his supernova explosion wasn't a normal person at all.
"Two wasn't enough, so they resorted to three." He paused and closed his eyes, thinking about his priority.
He just had to kill the anomaly.
To do that, he needed to kill the girl.
But obviously, the other two wouldn't stand and watch him do that.
It wasn't time to use his Overclock yet, but he mentally prepared himself to have it on standby.
