Pokemon: I am Gary

Chapter 94: Chapter 94: Plans to Go to Seven Islands

On New Year's Eve, unexpectedly forming a family of three with Lorelei... ahem. In short, Professor Oak's lab was lively for once.

As long as Agatha didn't come, I was the liveliest old man around!

This esteemed professor even made a long-distance call to Alola during dinner.

Meanwhile, Samson Oak, who was alone in the principal's office cooking instant noodles, was almost grinding his teeth in frustration.

While Professor Oak had lanterns, movies, steaming dumplings, and Tangyuan, surrounded by his grandson and what seemed like a granddaughter-in-law, Samson was stuck cooking noodles in the principal's office...

Ugh! Brother, you're going too far!

Fortunately, Gary mentioned that he would take Lorelei to visit later in the Indigo League, which made Samson set aside his grievances and smile as he promised to prepare gifts for Gary and Lorelei!

Waking up naturally, Gary groggily finished washing up. With messy hair, wearing jeans and an unbuttoned white shirt, he went downstairs.

"Eevee! Σっ°Д°っ!Gary, mind your appearance!" Eevee jumped into Gary's arms.

"Good morning, Gary! Come have breakfast," Lorelei's gentle voice came through, waking him up instantly.

"Eh?∑ ̄□ ̄ Oh~ everyone, good morning!" Flustered, Gary hurriedly put on his shirt and finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Gary, hurry up! There's coffee and cheesecake; Miss Lorelei bought it especially," Professor Oak said happily while enjoying breakfast.

Lorelei brushed her long hair behind her ear. "I'm glad everyone likes it~"

"Yeah, it's really good." After tasting the soft cheesecake that perfectly balanced the bitterness of the coffee, Gary found it to be quite a nice pairing.

Lorelei sat on a high stool, her eyes sparkling as she watched Gary.

Even with Gary's thick skin, he couldn't help but blush.

"Pfft~ So cute~" Lorelei chuckled lightly and shook her head as Gary gulped down his black coffee!

"Ah~ I'm awake now…" Throwing down his cup, Gary picked up Eevee and fled. "I'm going to make some energy cubes for the Pokémon!"

"This kid…" Professor Oak shook his head with a smile.

Indeed, once a mature girl like Lorelei becomes gentle, it's truly deadly!

In the yard, Eevee, Arcanine, Rhydon, and the Tail Wag Trio gathered again to watch Gary make energy cubes.

Crack! A puff of black smoke erupted as a row of dark energy cubes fell out.

The surrounding Pokémon exclaimed! ∑°Д°ノノ!What is this?!

"Uh... I think I mixed it too vigorously," Gary said awkwardly while rubbing his head. "Don't waste it; how about we give some extra to Scizor?"

Eevee??? Buoy? He's still just a kid! Isn't that too cruel...?

"Hah-say!" Hearing the words "extra meal," Scizor training by the lake instantly flashed over to Gary.

Without any hesitation, it grabbed a dark brown energy cube and tossed it into its mouth.

" ̄~ ̄ξ Crunch crunch… crunch…" Scizor's chewing slowed down gradually before suddenly kneeling on both knees—

When... the whole Scizor lost its color...

"Little Scizor? What's wrong? Wake up!" Holding Scizor in panic, Gary exclaimed anxiously.

Fortunately, Professor Oak arrived just in time and fed Scizor a sweet peach to help it recover.

"It's nothing; just a bit of food poisoning…" Professor Oak clapped his hands.

"Uh…" Gary awkwardly looked at the other Pokémon.

All the Pokémon had teary eyesつд? Master, please spare us!

"Alright then, my fault," Gary sighed and shook his head.

"Speaking of which, there's less than a month until the league competition. Do you have any training plans after this?" Lorelei asked curiously.

"I've already done specialized training before; now it's just some individual enhancements," Gary replied seriously. "Especially for Eevee; I still haven't found the Ice-type evolution core. Otherwise, its strength would have increased another level."

"The evolution core~" Lorelei rested her chin in thought for a moment before her eyes lit up. "I think I might have what you need back home on Ice Island. How about we go take a look?"

"Really? That would be great! Thank you so much, Lorelei!" Gary's eyes sparkled as he immediately agreed.

As long as it's for the Pokémon's sake, I'll go anywhere. If necessary, I'll make some delicious food later to reward Lorelei!

"That place on Seven Islands has a unique geographical position; you should encounter many interesting Pokémon there. Gary, take this opportunity to travel around Seven Islands," Professor Oak also nodded in agreement.

"Well then, let's not delay! I'll pack my things and we can set off soon?" Gary immediately prepared to act.

"Uh~ by the way, Ash is coming to visit today. Aren't you going to meet him before you leave?" Professor Oak reminded him.

"Oh right! I forgot that Ash is coming today." Gary suddenly remembered.

"In that case, I'll go buy tickets at Viridian City port; there are boats every morning and evening. Let's meet at the dock tonight," Lorelei suggested with a smile.

"Sure! No problem; I'll definitely be there on time." After thinking for a moment, Gary nodded in agreement.

"I'll head out now." Humming a little tune, Lorelei left the lab with some excitement.

The little puppy brother is coming to my house! Hehe~

...

Switching scenes to Ash who had already returned home after sleeping until noon. He was ultimately forcefully reprimanded by Suction Cup Magikarp...

After getting vacuumed in the face by the vacuum cleaner once more, Ash grabbed a few bites of food before heading towards Professor Oak's lab with Misty and Brock.

At the same time, three silly figures followed Ash's footsteps around to the back of Professor Oak's lab.

Beep beep beep… beep beep beep…

While rubbing Arcanine's head in joy, Gary's Team Rocket badge suddenly started ringing in his pocket.

Taking out the badge, Gary frowned slightly; its reaction indicated that one of his direct subordinates was approaching.

Butch and Cassidy should be monitoring Professor Nanbo in Johto right now—who could it be? Did headquarters assign me new recruits?

What kind of fool has come directly into my home!

Disdainfully curling his lips, he pulled out Steelix's mask and put it on. Then he hopped onto Arcanine. "Let's go southeast."

Arcanine let out a roar and dashed off swiftly.

Meanwhile, dragging their heavy footsteps were Jessie and James along with Meowth as they aimlessly wandered around the back mountain of Professor Oak's lab.

"Oh my gosh! You can't see anything here! Who suggested we come in through the back door?" Jessie couldn't help but yell angrily.

"It was you who suggested it!" Meowth ruthlessly exposed her lie.

"I don't care! I can't walk anymore!" Jessie began throwing a tantrum on the ground.

James sighed. "I don't have the strength to walk back anymore…"

Boom! A scorching whirlwind kicked up dust as Team Rocket's trio saw a masked boy riding Arcanine come before them in an instant.

"You three… are you the new recruits sent by headquarters?" Gary twitched at the corners of his mouth. Isn't this Team Rocket's trio...?

"Hey! Kid! Who are you? You're pretty cocky!" Jessie asked rudely with her hands on her hips.

"Big idiot!" Meowth kicked Jessie down onto the ground. "This is Green Executive! Right?!"

Gary couldn't help but cover his face; surprisingly Meowth was the cleverest one in this trio...

"So you're the fifth executive recently appointed by Team Rocket?" James finally caught on as well.

Gary helplessly nodded. "So tell me what you three are doing here?"

"Oh! It's like this; we're planning to rob Pokémon from Professor Oak's lab and offer them to our executive!" Meowth said without hesitation while flattering him.

"Oh~ robbing Pokémon from Professor Oak's lab and offering them to me?" Taking off his mask and pointing at his own face. "You three are among the few who know my true identity besides Boss Giovanni."

Do you know my last name?

"Hm hm?" The trio shook their heads decisively.

"My last name is Oak~" Gary said helplessly.

"Oh~ Oak…" The trio suddenly changed their expressions stiffly as they turned their heads towards Gary.

"Got it?" Gary sprayed back helplessly. "This is my house! And you want to rob my Pokémon to offer them up? What do you three think—are you planning an uprising?!"

Swish! The trio slid onto their knees in unison. "Executive! We were wrong!"

"Alright then; this will be your last chance." Watching their smooth apology actions made Gary laugh angrily instead.

"So what should we do next under Green Executive?" James asked confusedly.

"In short, for Team Rocket purposes you three should start raising funds first; I believe in your talents." After thinking for a moment, Gary said thoughtfully.

"The executive actually trusts us so much..." Meowth said emotionally.

"We mustn't let our executive down!" Jessie nodded firmly.

"Let's work hard for money!" James shouted their slogan enthusiastically.

"Alright! We will do our best!" The trio turned around confidently with flames ignited in their eyes as they left energetically.

Gary shook his head helplessly; he hoped these three could earn some good money without causing trouble elsewhere.

With these three having maxed out their street vendor talents—who knows? They might just end up making Team Rocket successful...

As long as they don't catch Pikachu—these three have potential worth looking forward to!
