The fourth floor of the Pokémon Tower was now in a state of complete disarray. The fierce Blizzard hadn't just dispersed the thick fog—it had toppled numerous tombstones, and the wall had been breached by Pokémon attacks.

The entire fourth floor resembled the aftermath of a terrorist attack, appearing devastated and in ruins.

Fortunately, the tower had been constructed with extraordinary structural integrity. Despite the damage, the main structure remained intact and remarkably stable.

"Hmm, the S.S. Anne was destroyed a few days ago, and now the Pokémon Tower looks like this. Could I actually be some kind of walking disaster magnet?" Eddie pondered.

"No, it's all because our enemies are too aggressive. Otherwise, I wouldn't have needed to fight so intensely. I'm simply trembling with fear while promoting good and punishing evil."

Eddie considered the situation and concluded that these incidents couldn't be blamed on him. It was all Team Rocket's fault—or perhaps a certain Elite's. Why should he take responsibility?

He was performing good deeds, but his enemies were exceptionally cruel, forcing him to respond with greater intensity. That made sense, right?

Just as Eddie finished this self-justifying thought, debris fell from the ceiling and struck his head, as if the Pokémon Tower itself was scolding him for his shamelessness.

"Ding! You defeated Gastly, but the Pokémon you used was borrowed, and your own Pokémon did not participate in the battle with Gastly, so you didn't gain any experience."

The notification finally appeared. Eddie had been wondering why no experience gain announcement had appeared after defeating Gastly. It seemed the system had been analyzing his situation before delivering this verdict.

When Eddie heard the news, his face darkened momentarily, but he quickly regained his composure.

During this battle, apart from Koga's Golbat, barely any Pokémon had been defeated.

As for Gastly, Kangaskhan had defeated it. Even without Eddie's commands, and with Gastly lacking a Trainer's guidance, the outcome was predictable.

When two Pokémon battle without Trainer commands, victory depends solely on their inherent strengths.

And Kangaskhan was clearly stronger than Gastly, so even without Eddie's guidance, Kangaskhan would have prevailed. The only difference would have been the time required.

Therefore, it was reasonable that Eddie received no experience. After all, Kangaskhan wasn't his Pokémon, and Exp. Share couldn't be applied to it. Pokémon that didn't participate in battle naturally couldn't gain experience.

"Darn, if I'd known that, I would have at least thrown in one of my own Pokémon as support so they could share some experience," Eddie grumbled.

Eddie understood the situation but was nevertheless disappointed, though he merely voiced his frustration without genuine concern.

When confronting a Champion-level Gastly, any Pokémon he might have sent into battle would have been defeated swiftly.

"By the way, why haven't these two woken up yet? Gastly has been driven away."

Eddie glanced at Gary and Koga. Sabrina had carefully placed them on the ground after Gastly's defeat.

Without Gastly's mysterious mist, visibility throughout the tower immediately improved, but Koga and Gary appeared to remain under some lingering effect. Even though they were no longer actively being controlled, they wouldn't recover quickly.

Without Agatha's commands, the two stood motionless, and their Pokémon were similarly dazed. For a moment, the scene became eerily quiet.

"Under normal circumstances, they won't regain consciousness quickly, but I don't have time to wait for them to recover naturally," Sabrina remarked.

Standing beside Eddie, she had overheard his question.

But she couldn't afford to wait for Koga to recover naturally, so she planned to employ more direct methods.

Sabrina and her Alakazam, who had reverted to their normal state after Mega Evolution, had their eyes glow slightly as they converted psychic energy into physical impact.

They delivered a sharp mental shock to Koga's head.

Koga's body trembled momentarily, and he staggered backward several steps, clearly in pain.

But this was nothing extraordinary for someone of Koga's resilience. He quickly recovered, and the cloudiness in his eyes gradually dissipated, replaced by clarity.

"Thank you very much, Sabrina."

It seemed Koga had retained his memories and awareness while being controlled, though he couldn't command his body.

However, after Koga spoke Sabrina's name, both Eddie and Sabrina frowned.

"If Koga remembers everything, he must have seen my deception. Why would he use my real name?" Sabrina wondered.

This was Sabrina's concern. During the recent battle, Eddie had called her "Miss Sabrina" multiple times. Koga wasn't foolish—he should have realized she was pretending. Why would he now use her actual name?

"Great, I should have known he'd repay kindness with hostility!" Eddie thought.

Eddie realized trouble was brewing the moment Koga regained consciousness. Koga had seen him and clearly knew he opposed Team Rocket.

He had hoped Koga's disoriented state might temporarily prevent recognition, but by immediately using Sabrina's real name, Koga signaled his intention to turn against Eddie without delay.

"Sabrina, this young man is an enemy. We should deal with him immediately," Koga warned.

As expected, despite his weakened condition, Koga assumed a fighting stance and alerted Sabrina.

Sabrina appeared momentarily stunned, but regardless of the situation, Koga was her ally. She and Alakazam instantly teleported to Koga's side.

Although she still leaned against Alakazam with her arms crossed, she now appeared visibly confused.

Eddie commanded Kangaskhan to return to his side, positioning it to protect both himself and the still-unconscious Gary.

"This trainer is the one I encountered at Mt. Moon several days ago," Koga explained. "He was merely a mid-level Trainer then. In just a matter of days, he's progressed to Peak Trainer status. His growth rate is terrifying."

"We cannot allow him to continue developing. Not only has he seen our faces, but his rate of improvement is certainly sufficient to threaten Team Rocket's operations. It would be best to eliminate him here to prevent future complications!"

Koga spoke with grave seriousness.

He was genuinely shocked by Eddie's accelerated growth.

Just days earlier, he had been defeated by Eddie, who had used four higher-level Pokémon.

Now Eddie had advanced to a level where he could challenge Koga's strongest Pokémon.

This explained Koga's immediate hostility.

There was no alternative approach.

Eddie represented an extreme danger.

Even at the cost of losing face, Koga needed to neutralize the threat now.

Otherwise, Eddie would undoubtedly become the "silver bullet" that could penetrate Team Rocket's defenses in the future.

"Is this the trainer you mentioned previously? I thought you were exaggerating, but having just fought alongside him, I suspect you may have underestimated him slightly," Sabrina observed.

Sabrina had been considering that if she became Eddie's adversary in the future, she might need to exercise caution. She hadn't expected Eddie to be the enemy Koga had previously encountered. Now she too contemplated taking action.

It wasn't merely because Eddie's potential, growth rate, and remarkably rich battle awareness were impressive. Sabrina also believed that given sufficient time, Team Rocket might indeed face elimination at Eddie's hands.

But these weren't the primary reasons. Though Sabrina's loyalty to Team Rocket was significant, it wasn't enough to justify her behavior.

There were additional factors prompting her immediate hostility toward Eddie.

"Well, well, Eddie. Since you're the person Koga described, that proves your attack on me earlier and everything afterwards was just an act, wasn't it?" she said coldly.

Though Sabrina smiled, the anger in her eyes made even Koga, standing nearby, uncomfortable.

"Miss Sabrina, I can explain my previous attack on you," Eddie attempted to clarify. As long as Sabrina hesitated, Koga alone couldn't defeat him while Kangaskhan provided protection.

"Our first meeting was at a cemetery, and Lavender Town is filled with strange urban legends. Suddenly seeing a woman walking through heavy rain without touching the ground would naturally make anyone think of something supernatural, right?"

"And everything that happened afterward was for our mutual benefit. Didn't we cooperate successfully?"

Eddie tried to explain, but he clearly didn't understand the female psyche...
