Pokémon: A Trainer Who Masters the Six Powers from the Start

Chapter 77: Chapter 77: Machamp

"Ralts, try it again—use Leaf Blade."

Hearing Ron's encouraging voice, Ralts mustered its strength and began practicing Leaf Blade according to the method taught by Bellossom.

While Ralts had learned several moves, only Confusion and Disarming Voice had any real power.

Perhaps Ralts's parents had been reluctant to push it too hard, so they hadn't taught it many skills.

From the first battle, Ron had noticed this and started considering which moves Ralts should learn.

Since Ron had plenty of contribution points and credits on hand, he could exchange for any moves that interested Ralts, encouraging faster mastery through personal interest.

What Ron hadn't expected was that, perhaps from observing Bellossom's battles, Ralts had chosen Leaf Blade as its next move.

Unfortunately, as a female Ralts, it could only evolve into Gardevoir and not Gallade. Otherwise, Ron might have considered training it along the path of a swordsman.

For Bellossom, who had already mastered Leaf Blade, teaching Ralts was an easy task.

In just a few days of high-intensity training combined with Fighting Aura, Ralts gradually adapted to the routine, learning Leaf Blade with astonishing speed during frequent battles.

A green light flashed as Leaf Blade formed along Ralts's arm.

After three days, Ralts finally succeeded in mastering Leaf Blade before its evolution.

This allowed Ron to notice the difference between using technical machines (TMs) and Pokémon-based training.

While TMs ensured a Pokémon could learn a move, the accuracy and power depended on further practice. On the other hand, moves learned through direct training with another Pokémon took longer but guaranteed consistent execution and enhanced power.

Now equipped with teleportation, Confusion, Disarming Voice, and Leaf Blade, Ralts was capable of holding its own in battle. With this progress, Ron decided it was time to leave Lavender Town.

After five days of Fighting Aura nurturing, Ralts's old injuries from its time wandering, as well as those from its initial training and battles, had fully healed. Its level had even risen to 13.

Leveling up takes time and care. Rushing it would only harm Ralts.

As long as Ralts followed his plan, Ron believed it would eventually surpass the Pokémon hunters who had attacked its family.

With Fighting Aura in play, Ron was confident that day wasn't far off.

Once Ralts adjusted to its progress, Ron turned to his second goal in Lavender Town: evolving Machoke into Machamp!

Trading Pokémon through communication exchanges typically required a trusted partner to avoid potential harm to the Pokémon.

If no such person was available, Pokémon Centers were a safe alternative. At least there, you didn't have to worry about your Pokémon being in danger after the trade.

After asking Nurse Joy to help with the exchange, Ron returned to his room with Machoke's Poké Ball. He wasn't fond of evolving his Pokémon in front of others.

A Pokémon is at its most vulnerable during evolution, completely defenseless.

If attacked, evolution could be interrupted, causing severe injuries—or worse, it could lose the chance to evolve forever.

Even though no one would dare to do such a thing in a Pokémon Center, Ron preferred to be cautious.

"Come out, Machamp!"

The Poké Ball opened, releasing a dazzling white light as Machoke's body began to transform.

As always, Fighting Aura flowed in, merging with the light of evolution.

This time, Ron could vaguely sense Machamp's talent and physical attributes improving under the influence of Fighting Aura.

Noticing this, Ron began to reflect on Fighting Aura, which he hadn't thoroughly studied before.

Ever since discovering Fighting Aura's abilities to heal and gauge a Pokémon's level and potential, Ron had left it unexamined, planning to study it later when he became stronger.

Today, Ron realized he might have unwittingly unlocked more functions of Fighting Aura—or perhaps, was only now discovering them.

For example, Fighting Aura seemed to enhance a Pokémon's innate talent and aptitude.

If this ability became public knowledge, Ron was certain he'd be abducted within half a day and used as a tool to improve Pokémon.

Worse, he might become the subject of constant power struggles, a fate dramatic enough to write a novel—though whether it would sell was another question.

Shaking off these thoughts, Ron decided to analyze Fighting Aura carefully after Machoke's evolution was complete.

As if sensing Ron's intentions, the glow of evolution gradually faded, and Machamp appeared before him and his Persian.

The evolved Machamp's skin tone hadn't changed, but it now sported an impressive extra pair of arms.

The red markings on its arms had vanished, its head crest had become more pronounced, and its belt had transformed into a golden triangle-patterned design.

Based on Ron's knowledge of Machamp, evolution granted it boundless strength and reflexes faster than thought. Its four arms could punch 1,000 times in two seconds, and it could move mountains with ease.

Of course, Machamp wasn't at that level yet—one evolution couldn't achieve such power.

But with its steadily increasing strength, Ron believed Machamp would reach that peak someday.

The thought of moving mountains was enough to excite him.

If combined with the Navy's Six Powers technique, Finger Pistol, Machamp's opponents might be pulverized in an instant.

"Congratulations, Machamp!"

Hearing Ron's voice, the towering Machamp, over two meters tall, knelt before him to show its loyalty.

This display didn't go unnoticed by Persian and the others, leaving a deep impression.

It was precisely because of Machamp's overwhelming strength and consistent demonstrations that there were no discordant voices within the team—nor would there be a case like Ash's disobedient Charizard.

As Ron gently patted Machamp's head, no words were needed.
