Chapter 122: Chapter 115: Talking
Arthur walked through the school gates, making his way up the stairs to his classroom.
As he ascended, he noticed a group of three boys a few steps ahead of him. One of them was a short, spiky-haired boy with light brown eyes—Issei.
He was deep in conversation with two of his friends: one with glasses, Motohama, and the other with a shaved head, Matsuda.
Normally, Arthur would avoid eavesdropping on others' conversations; with his enhanced senses, it was unnecessary.
However, something about the tone of their discussion piqued his interest, and he found himself focusing on their words.
Issei's voice was filled with confusion and frustration as he spoke. "Are you guys sure you don't remember Yuma-chan?"
Matsuda shook his head, his expression blank. "I told you, Issei, I don't know any girl by that name."
Motohama adjusted his glasses, frowning slightly. "Yeah, dude. Are you sure you're not imagining things? We don't know anyone named Yuma."
And so on.
"It's seems like Rias has successfully converted Issei into a devil Friday." Arthur said.
[Yes, Sir. But it seems she is still in doubt whether she made the right choice or not.]
"Why thought? In the Anime, I remembered that Rias doesn't have any doubt regarding Issei." Arthur asked.
[In anime, You wasn't here, Sir.]
"That's true. My presence here must have altered some things. It's no surprise she's second-guessing her decisions. She might feel the weight of responsibility more heavily now, knowing there's someone like me watching her moves."
"Friday, what's the current status of the fallen angels?" Arthur asked.
[They are still observing, Sir. Raynare seems to be laying low for now, probably planning her next move. But with Issei now reincarnated as a devil, her plans will likely change soon.]
"Good. Keep monitoring them closely," Arthur replied, "I need to ensure Issei's path unfolds in a way that aligns with our goals."
[Which, if I understand correctly, involves getting closer to the ladies,] Friday said flatly.
"Precisely, Friday," Arthur said with a smirk. Just then, he sensed a familiar presence approaching him.
Turning around, he saw Rory walking towards him with her usual confident stride.
"Good morning, Rory," Arthur greeted.
"Good morning to you too, dear," Rory replied, a playful glint in her eyes. "What are you up to? Spying on the perverted trio—has that become your new pastime?"
"Definitely not. Just doing some research."
Rory smirked, a playful glint in her eyes. "Researching, huh? And what exactly are you hoping to learn from those three? Become more perverted." Rory was pulling any punch.
Arthur chuckled, unfazed by Rory's teasing. "I think I've already mastered that art, thank you very much. But no, You see Issei over there."
"Yes,"
"He is going to be one of the strongest being in this world. And he is this generation red dragon emperor." Arthur said.
"Oh," Rory said not that interested in anyway, "So should we kill him."
Arthur shook his head, a hint of a smile playing at his lips. "No, Rory. We're not murderers."
Rory said rolling her eyes. "Coming from you, that sounds almost laughable. What are you planning for him, then? Torture? Boiling alive? Turning him into some kind of breeding machine?"
Arthur held up a hand, cutting her off. "Stop right there. None of that. What do you think of this innocent me."
Rory smirked, clearly amused by Arthur's feigned innocence. "Innocent? You? That's rich coming from the Ancient One. The one who has reshaped worlds and rewritten destinies."
Arthur placed a hand over his chest, pretending to be flattered. "Oh, you're making me blush, Rory. Keep talking, and I might actually believe in my own innocence."
Rory chuckled, shaking her head. "Innocent or not, you still haven't answered my question. What's your plan for this Red Dragon Emperor?"
"For him? Nothing, I only got plans for his master." Arthur said with a smile, which Rory has seen so many times.
"So you are going to screw someone." Rory said, although she doesn't know who it was. Then she continue.
"So who is his master. I senses that he is reincarnated devil so it's either Sona Sitri or Rias Gremory."
Arthur's smile widened, the kind that suggested he was enjoying a private joke. "You know me too well, Rory. Yes, you're right. His master is Rias Gremory, the crimson-haired princess of ruin."
Rory rolled her eyes again, clearly unamused by Arthur's antics. "Of course, it's her. The Gremory heiress. What is it about her that's caught your interest?"
Arthur shrugged casually. "She's an influential figure, and she's at a pivotal moment in her life. There's a lot at stake, and she could use some... guidance. Plus, her connection to Issei and his potential makes her all the more interesting."
Rory crossed her arms, studying Arthur intently. "And by 'guidance,' you mean...?"
"I mean making sure she's on the right path. Helping her grow stronger, wiser. Maybe even helping her realize what she really wants in this world. And, well, if things get more... intimate, that's just a bonus."
Rory sighed, though there was a hint of amusement in her eyes. "Just try not to break her heart, One. You've got a knack for getting people emotionally invested."
"I want this one to be emotionally invested," Arthur looked straight in Rory.
Hearing Arthur, Rory also looked up to him but seeing his serious look, Rory knows that it's not a casual relationship he is looking.
"After a century or so, You are getting another wife for yourself, Huh. That too Venelana's daughter, I am really looking forward to see Venelana's expression, when Rias will took you to her house."
Arthur didn't said anything and he also don't laugh at Rory's joke. But there was a pained expression in his face.
"I should have put my dick in my pants back then." Arthur murmur.
