"Captain Adkin, Captain Adkin!" A Navy ensign hurried to the door of the conference room, his voice echoing through the corridor.

The naval captain, seated alone at the table and focused intently on a sea chart spread before him, slowly raised his head. His stern expression reflected the weight of command. "Ensign Audrey, always remember to maintain decorum. As an officer, you must present yourself as composed and collected in front of the people."

"Yes, sir." Audrey saluted, his embarrassment evident, and then spoke with a more measured tone. "Captain Adkin, we've detected the Giant Rhino Pirates on the shore of the island ahead. Their ships are anchored along the coastline."

"Is the island inhabited?"

"Yes, sir. There's a small settlement called Fallen Leaf Town."

Captain Adkin's expression turned sharp, and his voice carried an edge of urgency. "Have you seen any signs of fire, or is there the smell of gunpowder on the wind?"

Audrey hesitated for a moment, startled by the sudden intensity. Swallowing hard, he replied, "No, sir. We haven't detected anything of the sort."

Adkin leaned forward, his tone measured but grim. "The Giant Rhino Alex is a brutal and paranoid man. If a massacre had occurred, they wouldn't linger. Since you've seen no signs of battle, it's likely they've just landed—or they've taken the townsfolk hostage to bargain with us."

His expression softened slightly. "Either way, it's better than arriving after another tragedy."

"Ensign Audrey."

"Sir!"

"Relay my orders—set full sail and head for the island at top speed!"

In Fallen Leaf Town, villagers were busy salvaging spoils from a recent naval skirmish. The atmosphere was tense but purposeful. Suddenly, a group of children came racing down the street, their high-pitched voices ringing out.

"Not good! Not good! There are more big ships coming from the sea!"

The villagers froze. A murmur of alarm rippled through the crowd.

"Another pirate attack?"

"Could they be after our spoils?"

"Over my dead body! We've got muskets now, and even a couple of cannons. If those scum think they can take what's ours, they're in for a nasty surprise!"

Over the past three years, Fallen Leaf Town had earned a reputation for resilience, fending off pirate attacks time and again. The villagers, hardened by experience, were no longer the easy prey they once were.

However, as Captain Adkin and his naval officers approached, they were met with an astonishing declaration.

"You're telling me," Adkin began, his voice heavy with disbelief, "that the entire Giant Rhino Pirates were wiped out? And that Giant Rhino Alex is dead? By this town?"

His gaze fell on the elderly mayor, whose kind demeanor did little to ease the colonel's suspicion. "You'd better not be a spy sent by Alex to mislead us," Adkin warned.

The officers accompanying him shared his incredulity. For a small, unremarkable town to destroy one of the most elusive pirate crews in the region was beyond belief—bordering on fantasy.

The mayor, flustered and overwhelmed by the imposing presence of the Navy officers, stammered in response. "N-no, you've misunderstood! The credit for defeating the Giant Rhino Pirates belongs to Kai!"

Just as the explanation began, chaos erupted. A large group of villagers armed with muskets charged from the town's edge, their battle cries echoing across the clearing.

"Blast it all! Pirates, I'll fight you myself!"

The sight of the naval uniforms gave them pause, and confusion spread among the would-be defenders.

"Hold on a second! These aren't pirates—they're Navy!"

Nearby, a group of children who'd run ahead cried out, "Wait! If they're Navy, does that mean they're from the same group Brother Kai joined?"

The tension dissolved in an instant.

The children, wide-eyed and brimming with curiosity, added indignantly, "Also, we only said there were a lot of big ships. You were the ones who jumped to the conclusion that they were pirates!"

Realization dawned on the townsfolk, and sheepish laughter rippled through the crowd. The earlier bravado faded as they scolded the children for their mischief, punctuating their reprimands with light-hearted swats.

Captain Adkin, observing the scene, allowed himself a faint smile. The chaos of the town was a far cry from the discipline of the Navy, but it spoke volumes about the resilience and spirit of its people.
