Chapter 107: Chapter 107: I Acknowledge You(100 P.S Chapter)

Shiki's figure streaked through the sky like a golden meteor, tumbling violently as he hurtled far into the distance. His body tore through thick layers of cloud, leaving behind a long white trail like a scar across the sky.

Yoriichi's Haki-infused attack had been devastating. Although Shiki managed to cross his twin blades and block it in time, the force behind Yoriichi's strike was not so easily neutralized.

Watching Shiki vanish beyond visual range, Kuzan quickly reformed his body and dropped back to the ground. Without wasting a second, he shouted toward the surviving Marines among the wreckage of the tavern:

"Hey, you lot! Get out of here, now!"

"Golden Lion Shiki isn't dead. Knowing his nature, there's no way he'll just turn tail and leave."

"While you still have the chance, evacuate. Head straight back to the ship and don't hesitate—set sail immediately and contact Headquarters. Inform them that we've encountered Golden Lion Shiki."

"Move! Stop dawdling!"

The surviving Marines, still standing amid the debris, were frozen in awe. They had just witnessed something unthinkable—Vice Admiral Kuzan and Rear Admiral Yoriichi working together to blast Golden Lion Shiki into the sky.

That was Golden Lion Shiki.

A legend. A man who had once fought against Roger himself.

And yet, a Vice Admiral and a Rear Admiral had just repelled him? If they hadn't seen it with their own eyes, they would never have believed it.

It was like imagining Smoker and Tashigi teaming up to knock Big Mom off her feet.

Say that out loud and people wouldn't just call you a liar—they'd think the Marines had lost their minds.

Snapping back to reality thanks to Kuzan's stern warning, the Marines quickly saluted both officers, then turned and fled.

One younger Marine hesitated, glancing back toward Kuzan and Yoriichi as if unwilling to leave them behind. He stopped mid-step.

But a more seasoned Marine grabbed his wrist and pulled him forward, whispering sharply:

"Don't be foolish. We'd only be a burden here. We can't help them in a fight like this."

"If you want to support them, get back to the ship and report everything to Headquarters."

"And if you're serious, then train hard every day. Don't end up like those poor souls back there."

As he spoke, the older Marine glanced back at the fallen bodies of their comrades. His expression turned somber.

Hearing that, the younger Marine didn't hesitate any longer. He gave a firm nod, then sprinted away with the others.

Watching them retreat, Kuzan exhaled slowly. A trace of relief crossed his face, though it was quickly darkened by the sight of Marine corpses scattered across the tavern ruins.

Yoriichi didn't glance at the wreckage. Instead, he kept his eyes fixed on the direction Shiki had been flung. After a long moment of silence, he suddenly turned and stared at a distant corner of a building wall.

"You two," he called out. "Why are you hiding over there? Come out."

"If you're thinking about taking advantage of the situation, I'd advise you to drop that idea."

"Killing you both would take less than a single breath."

As Yoriichi finished speaking, Kuzan followed his gaze. His Observation Haki extended rapidly, locking onto the two presences hiding behind the wall. With a quiet breath, a faint mist escaped Kuzan's lips.

"Damn it! We were coming to help!" a voice shouted indignantly.

"What the hell kind of accusation is that?!"

"We're pirates! What kind of pirate would do something that low?!"

Shanks leapt out from the wall, dragging a panicked-looking Buggy behind him. Buggy froze the moment he met Yoriichi and Kuzan's eyes, then immediately darted back behind cover.

Leaving Shanks to stand there alone.

Shanks' expression was full of frustration, but when he declared "We're pirates!" there was genuine pride in his voice—like he believed pirates were something noble.

"You talking nonsense?" Kuzan scratched his head. "Pirates are exactly the kind who'd strike when someone's down."

"And help us? You think you're in a position to help?"

Yoriichi was about to respond when he suddenly turned, lifting his katana to guard his chest.

A shadow plummeted from the sky.

Twin blades descended in an "X" shape, slamming toward Yoriichi's body.

Clang!!!

A deafening metallic howl exploded into the air. Yoriichi's Conqueror's Haki collided with Shiki's Armament Haki, unleashing a shockwave that blasted outward in all directions. Shanks, caught off guard, was thrown to the ground and tumbled several times before slamming into a wall.

"You're strong. And you've got spirit."

"Marine, I acknowledge you."

"And that's why I'll go all out to kill you. You too, ice boy."

Shiki's dual blades pressed against Yoriichi's katana. His sheer strength and formidable Haki were enough to push Yoriichi back ever so slightly.

The ground beneath Yoriichi's feet cracked in a spiderweb pattern. The sheer force of the clash was enough to make the earth tremble.

"His Armament Haki... it's at this level?"

"Golden Lion Shiki... no wonder he's mentioned in the same breath as those masters of Haki."

"Hard to imagine how Monkey D. Luffy ever overcame someone like this."

Veins bulged on Yoriichi's forehead. He was using every ounce of strength he had. With each breath, a haze of Haki pulsed around him.

Even so, he was struggling.

Shiki's dual swords gave him an advantage in close-quarters combat. Yoriichi had no way to deflect with a diagonal parry—and in this moment, he could not retreat.

If he gave even an inch, the incoming slash would strike him directly.

If he misjudged, he would die.

"Kuzan!"

Their clash continued, and Yoriichi could feel Shiki's pressure intensifying with each passing second. At this point, he had no choice but to call for help.

Just as he shouted, Kuzan reappeared beside Shiki. His ice blade swung upward, aiming straight for Shiki's head.

"Heh!"

Shiki didn't even flinch. The ground beneath Kuzan's feet suddenly floated upward, throwing him off balance. His strike missed completely.

Then Shiki looked down.

From the cracked earth around Yoriichi's feet, countless sharp stones rose and shot toward him.

"Ice Time!"

Before the stones could impale Yoriichi, Kuzan's voice rang out. Walls of ice shot up around him from three directions, left, right, and behind, blocking the incoming projectiles.

At the same time, a massive ice spike launched upward from beneath Shiki's feet, aiming again for his lower body.

Sensing the danger, Shiki crossed his swords to deflect Yoriichi's blade and quickly floated backward.

Buzz!!!

A loud hum roared through the air as soon as he withdrew.

Yoriichi's katana swung down, unleashing a black lightning-infused flying slash that shot straight toward Shiki.

It struck his chest dead-on, sending him flying once again.

Boom!!!!

The impact echoed like thunder. Blood splattered through the air. Shiki crashed through multiple buildings before finally coming to a stop.

Kuzan watched him fly off and muttered, "Is he dead?"

Yoriichi shook his head.

"If only it were that easy."

In this world, all top-tier fighters were capable of both offense and defense. Even Gol D. Roger's Divine Departure, when it struck Kozuki Oden directly, didn't kill him.

Right now, Yoriichi's Conqueror-infused slashes were only slightly weaker than Roger's.

And Shiki's durability might even surpass Oden's.

"A hit to the chest... it's hard to be fatal."

"To kill him, I need to sever his neck."

As Yoriichi spoke, his brows furrowed deeply.

Golden Lion Shiki's strength had far exceeded expectations. If this dragged on into a prolonged battle, he and Kuzan might not stand a chance.

"The next strike," he muttered, "must kill him."

"We must end this... while he's still on the ground, daring to face us."
