Rikuya's voice drifted over.

The Gate of Shock was the final gate before the Death Gate, and the seventh of the Eight Gates.

As Rikuya shouted, blue steam burst out from his body—formed by his sweat rapidly evaporating from the overwhelming energy.

At this moment, his speed had reached the very limit of what a human body could endure.

The blue energy wave hurtling toward him now looked like nothing more than a gentle ripple in his eyes.

He easily sidestepped it.

BOOM!!

The wave smashed into a wall behind Rikuya, carving a massive gash through it.

"Now it's my turn. Shiryu… game over! Daytime Tiger!!"

Rikuya roared into the air. The blue steam around him surged skyward.

In an instant, he compressed the surrounding air and unleashed it all at once, forming a giant tiger-shaped shockwave.

Shiryu barely blinked before the massive tiger of compressed air appeared before him.

In the time it took to draw a single breath, Rikuya's fist struck him square in the face.

Shiryu flew backward like a broken kite.

The shockwave from the air cannon erupted outward, shaking the ground in all directions.

Even Domino, who was watching from a distance, was pushed back several steps by the force.

As she finally steadied herself, blood dripped from the corner of her lips.

Just the aftershock from one punch was enough to injure her—a testament to Rikuya's terrifying power!

Immediately afterward, two system notifications chimed in Rikuya's mind:

But he also knew the side effects of the Eight Gates. The final gate—Gate of Death—was fatal to anyone who opened it, unless they had main character plot armor.

So Rikuya made sure not to go beyond the seventh gate.

Even so, the strain was tremendous. Once the gates closed, even a light touch could cause excruciating pain. The risk was still very real.

With the Gate of Shock still active, Rikuya slowly walked toward Domino.

All around him, prisoners who had been shaken by the earlier shockwave began to shout out in excitement.
