One Piece: Please Call Me Godfather!

Chapter 25: 25

Cocoyashi Village is a hopeless village.

It has been like this since a few years ago when the Fishmen Pirates started their invasion.

The Fishmen are ten times stronger than humans on average, and the untrained villagers of Cocoyashi simply have no way to resist them.

Even when they tried to report to the Navy for help, the decayed Navy division sent them nothing but deeper despair.

If it weren't for a little kitten still desperately trying to save the village, many people in the village would have probably succumbed to this form of torment and chosen to end their lives early.

Every day of life is dark.

But one day, the situation was a bit different.

"A warship is coming!"

A villager who enjoys fishing by the shore, carrying a fishing rod, rushed back to the village and shouted excitedly.

"A warship? Is it the Navy? Has the Navy finally come to wipe out Arlong and his crew?"

Some villagers were so happy they almost cried.

"Don't get too excited, don't forget what happened when we reported to the Navy before! The Navy might have already colluded with Arlong and his pirate crew!"

Someone poured cold water on the others.

"I'll go to Arlong's music hall and check the situation." The village elder Genzo took a deep breath and said, "Everyone, don't get too worked up yet."

What if, what if this time the Navy really does come to wipe out Arlong's pirate crew?

The villagers still held on to a faint, unrealistic hope in their hearts.

Arlong is an absolute racist.

On one hand, he is full of hatred and disdain for humans.

But on the other hand, he is extremely protective of his own people and kindred.

So, when he found out that his people were attacked and hurt by the Navy, he was completely enraged.

A punch hit the wall, and Arlong pulled out a large saw sword from the wall, "Comrades! Let this despicable human taste our Fishmen's rage!"

"Ugh ugh ugh ugh!"

The Fishmen group roared and jumped into the pond, advancing through the seabed towards the Navy warship, quickly chasing after it.

"Open fire! Don't let them get close!!"

On the warship, Francklin's brows twitched, and he shouted angrily, trying to keep his composure.

Fighting the Fishmen on the sea was a huge disadvantage.

The Fishmen could dive into the sea at any time and launch a surprise attack, while the fleet on the surface of the water was basically helpless.

The warship immediately turned sideways, and in the next moment, it unleashed a barrage of fire.

Each cannon began to roar, with each shell bursting from the explosive power, tracing a perfect arc through the air before plunging into the water, where the shells exploded, sending huge columns of water soaring.

"Whoa!!"

The Fishmen on the surface of the water were caught off guard, unable to react in time. The Fishman martial artist Kuroobi shouted, "Dive down! Their shells can't reach that deep!"

The Fishmen immediately swam deeper into the ocean.

"Colonel, this is troublesome!"

An officer said, "Although the water is shallow near the shore, the ocean floor is beyond the range of our cannons!"

"Damn!!"

Francklin obviously understood this.

"Ha ha ha ha!"

Arlong stood on the shore, laughing arrogantly, "Look at these foolish humans, this is the noble Fishmen, and the difference between us and you lowly mud creatures!"

An officer looked over the side of the ship, and although the sea was deep and nothing could be seen, he knew at any moment a Fishman could emerge from the ocean and sink the warship. "This won't do, we can't just do nothing or we're finished."

He hurriedly moved like a wisp of smoke to Francklin's side and whispered, "Colonel, please quickly ask the bishop to take action."

"..."

Francklin gave him a deep look but did not object, only nodding gently.

In the current situation, if Reinhardt didn't act, there was no way to deal with the Fishmen in the water.

On land, Francklin wasn't afraid of these Fishmen at all, but right now, he couldn't let this ability user go into the water and face the Fishmen in a life-or-death struggle.

Francklin silently approached Reinhardt, lowering his head slightly, "Bishop, I beg of you."

Reinhardt nodded lightly, "This is right, my friend, asking a friend for help has never been a shameful thing. Who could ignore a friend's plea for help?"

"Anyway, this is not a difficult matter."

Invisible mental energy began to rapidly grow.

Although Reinhardt could freely condense and dilute mental energy around his body, when he condensed it, he couldn't directly form it in high-density objects, like within the human body.

Luckily, the water's density wasn't too high, and the mental energy entered silently and without a sound.

Soon, the Fishmen in the water were bound by the mental energy and were forcefully dragged out of the water, lifted into the air by Reinhardt.

"What—what is going on?"

Kuroobi exclaimed.

"It's an ability user!!" Chew's complexion changed suddenly.

They were Fishmen from the Grand Line, and they had seen Devil Fruit abilities before.

But the power of this kind of ability was far beyond what an ordinary ability user could achieve.

"Don't resist, little fish."

Reinhardt waved his hand, and in an instant, the hundreds of Fishmen suspended in the air turned into projectiles, screaming as they shot toward Arlong's music hall.

Boom boom boom boom boom boom boom!

With the sharp sound of wind, the Fishmen projectiles slammed into the great hall of Arlong's music hall.

The architecture of Arlong's domain, which had been a symbol of his power, was instantly shattered by the explosion, spreading the damage. After a tremor, the entire structure collapsed, sending a cloud of dust into the sky.

Arlong stood frozen for a moment, staring at the ruins, and in the blink of an eye, his gaze shifted to one of bone-deep hatred and fury.

"My comrades!!"

"Momu!!"

The shark-like Fishman suddenly turned around. "Destroy them! Now!!"

"Roar!!!"

A massive roar reverberated from the depths of the sea.

"What is this now?"

Francklin's expression grew serious as he looked toward the sea's surface.

"Boom!"

Suddenly, the surface of the water erupted, and with a shower of seawater, a monstrous creature with the head of a bull and the body of a fish broke through the surface, its red eyes filled with madness. In the blink of an eye, it seemed ready to smash the warship to pieces.

"A!!! It's a Sea King!!!"

One officer shouted in alarm.

The monster's head alone was larger than half of the warship!

Before it, humans seemed no more than ants.

"Calm down, it's just a Sea Beast."

Francklin's voice was cold.

"The next step is up to you, no problem, Francklin?"

Reinhardt said gently.

"Of course."

He was more than ready and eager to release the anger he had been holding inside.
