One Piece: Lord of Calamity

Chapter 58: Chapter 58: Seeking a Distributor! Auntie's Tea Party

"What?" Roa's sudden farewell left Kaido stunned. "You're leaving?"

"Yeah," Roa took a deep breath of the black aura. In three months, the concentration of black aura in Wano Country had risen.

Although it was still far less than in the Germa Kingdom, it was enough for Roa's daily needs. "There's nothing left for me here, is there? Why would I stay?" The factories were already built, and weapon production was proceeding methodically. Roa believed his old brother wouldn't stoop to embezzling the weapons produced by his factories.

"Huh?" Kaido seemed even more bewildered by Roa's answer, his brows furrowed, his features almost squeezed together. "The problem is, do you even have anything serious to do, kid?" Wasn't this kid's only goal to make the world suffer? Wasn't Wano Country enough for him to stir up trouble?

"What kind of talk is that, Big Brother Kaido!" Roa was indignant, his handsome young face flushed red. "I have my own business to run!"

"Materials and production are already handled; next, I need to sort out the product sales!" Without a distributor, Roa couldn't possibly go knocking on doors in every country to promote his products, could he? How inefficient!

"You're always doing such baffling things," Kaido scoffed. He, of course, knew that this brat Roa wasn't selling weapons to make money; he simply wanted to use these weapons to make the world burn even more fiercely. But, it wasn't bad! Wouldn't a world that spoke through weapons be beautiful?

"So, how are you going to do it, kid?" Kaido asked, somewhat curious.

"Business secret," Roa said with a profound look, placing his index finger over his lips in a gesture of secrecy. "But don't worry, Big Brother Kaido, we won't go too far from Wano Country. The offensive and defensive alliance still stands. I'll even come rescue you again if you get caught next time."

"Hmph!" Kaido snorted in displeasure. "That won't happen again." His last capture was a humiliation he could never erase from his life.

"Is that so?" Roa smiled. Someone who'd been captured by the Marines and the Four Emperors a total of eighteen times, practically the Grand Loser of Pirates, sure had the nerve to say that.

Suddenly, Roa remembered something important, and he said earnestly, "Big Brother Kaido, now that you're settled, it's time to consider starting a family." "Even if you don't need an heir, in the future, when we're out fighting, someone will need to hold down the fort back home, right?"

Kaido, who had initially looked impatient, instantly became pensive. Just as Roa said, his legacy didn't need an heir. But he did need someone who could handle his concerns on the home front. Kaido's eyes narrowed. There was hope! He just wondered if the child born later would be his niece.

Regardless, Roa and his Natural Disaster Company were preparing to leave Wano Country. On one hand, it was indeed to find a distributor. On the other hand, Roa was a little worried about the World Government coming after him. He and Kaido weren't yet strong enough to make the World Government truly wary. Wouldn't it be troublesome if the news got out?

Soon, a fantastic piece of news spread rapidly among the anti-foreigner activists hidden in Wano Country. The Ferocious Tiger Roa, with his Natural Disaster Company, had left the country aboard rumbling snails.

Although Kaido, who remained in Wano Country, was still a terrifying monster, the enemy's strength had indeed almost been halved! The anti-foreigner activists rejoiced, feeling that victory was within reach.

Meanwhile, Roa was already aboard the mighty snail convoy, departing from Wano Country. Inside one of the factories on a snail's back, Roa toyed with a bullet. Unlike the prevalent lead bullets on the seas, this was a "future" bullet composed of a bullet head, casing, propellant, and primer.

However, what truly concerned Roa wasn't the technology represented by this bullet. It was the material that made up the bullet head.

"Remarkable!" Dylan, accompanying him, couldn't help but marvel. "To be able to process Seastone to this extent, the craftsmanship mastered by Wano Country's artisans is truly extraordinary."

"That's why this factory was built," Roa replied, turning around. This factory, one might say, was not modern at all; it was entirely a handcraft workshop. Stone masons brought from Wano Country worked tirelessly, processing Seastone.

Over these three months, numerous new mines had been opened in Wano Country, and the output of various minerals, including Seastone, had surged.

However, no matter how much it increased, Seastone was ultimately a rare mineral, and Roa hadn't taken much of it this trip. The output of the handcraft workshop was enough for now.

However, Roa wasn't particularly enthusiastic about so-called Seastone weapons. After all, there were too many non-Devil Fruit users who were masters on the seas in this era.

More crucially, for true top-tier powerhouses, Future Sight Observation Haki was almost standard. He'd leave them for the army. The Germa Kingdom had expanded more weapon factories.

Yes, not just in Wano Country, but new factories had also been built on the backs of these snails. After all, the first batch of artificial humans alone numbered over ten thousand; they became soldiers, which meant over ten thousand people from the original army were phased out.

These people became the workforce for the new factories.

"But Boss," Dylan spoke again. "Where exactly should we head next?" He said they were looking for a distributor, but the question was, who should they look for?

"Well, I need to consult someone first," Roa said, pulling out a Den Den Mushi and casually dialing a number. Dylan immediately quieted down, holding his breath. Gulp. The call connected.

"Is that Brother Roa? It's been so long since we last spoke, I thought you'd forgotten me." A very affected voice came from the other end, brimming with surprise. "I heard about your battle with Hero Garp too; it was truly amazing, just as expected of Brother Roa!"

Stussy? Dylan thought. Right, she was a government agent, with wide-ranging intelligence channels.

"It wasn't that amazing, just severely wounding Hero Garp and saving Big Brother Kaido on the side," Roa replied casually. "But little sister Stussy, this time I'm not calling to hear your praises. I need your help again."

"How mean, I thought Brother Roa missed me, and I was so happy about it." Stussy on the other end said coyly. "So, Brother Roa, what do you want to ask this time?"

Roa spoke directly, "I've produced quite a few weapons and plan to sell them externally. I need an incredibly resourceful distributor."

"I see," Stussy said knowingly. "It seems your talk with Mr. Judge went very well. As for a distributor..." There was a few seconds of silence on her end. "Brother Roa, have you heard the name Umit?"

"Umit?" Roa raised an eyebrow. He had indeed heard of him. Not in this life, but in the manga from his previous life. He was one of the New World's underground giants, alongside Stussy, known as the "Shipping King," a magnate in the transport industry. What, had that guy already made his fortune? This was thirty-two years before his appearance in the original story.

"Their family has been deeply rooted in the shipping industry for several generations, a well-known giant in the underground world, controlling many secret routes, with clients across the Grand Line and the Four Seas," Stussy continued. "Umit is the family's newest head. Although he's only just taken over, if you're looking for a distributor, I think he's the most suitable." So, it was a family business!

"Sounds very good," Roa said with a smile, pressing on, "So, where can I find him?"

"Isn't this just too coincidental, Brother Roa?" Stussy's voice suddenly took on a strange, knowing chuckle. "Our old friend, in order to expand her influence, is inviting the prominent underground magnates of the New World to a tea party to foster connections." "I'll be there, and Umit, if nothing unexpected happens, should be there too."

Such a thing exists? Roa's lips twitched. "That old friend, wouldn't it be my dearest Auntie Linlin?"

"Just as expected of Brother Roa, you guessed it right away."

"In that case," Roa chuckled, "It seems I'll have to go see an old friend."
