One Piece: Lord of Calamity

Chapter 46: Chapter 46: Tactical Retreat!

"Blast Breath!" After being punched away, Kaido, who had rushed back to the battlefield, roared and exhaled furiously. A magnificent pillar of fire instantly pierced through the sky, blasting a huge hole through the lava fountain.

"Anger, I see it!" Roa pinpointed the fire of rage in the sky, and his ability activated again. Above a clear blue sky, dark clouds instantly gathered. "Ten Thousand Thunders!"

Lightning then poured down like a torrential rain, but strangely, it all struck the same target.

"This!" King's dark brown skin turned white under the illumination of the countless lightning bolts. He saw the lightning gathering into a sea. A natural disaster! Was this Boss's ability? It was a bit too exaggerated, wasn't it?

"Phew—" Roa let out a long breath. Both transforming the ground into a volcanic cluster and creating a sea of lightning consumed enormous stamina. His body kept fluctuating between exhaustion and extreme energy, which was incredibly uncomfortable. But fortunately, the effects were still very significant.

In the sky, a figure trailing black smoke plummeted.

"Uroguroro!" Kaido laughed, shaking with glee. "Not bad, Roa! Just keep up the momentum and take down that old mad dog!"

"I'm afraid it won't be that easy," Roa tugged at the corner of his mouth.

"Wahahahahaha! That hurt like hell! You two brats are really something!" The descending black figure's downward momentum suddenly halted. He stomped on the air and shot forward like lightning. "Now, it's my turn!"

Garp was in a sorry state. His clothes were completely burnt away, his head was entirely bald, and his body was covered in black marks from severe burns, almost turning him into a black man. However, he was still full of vigor.

"He's not dead yet? Do you have immortality too?" Roa clicked his tongue. "That's simply unreasonable, Haki!" Big Brother Kaido saying that Haki was the power that transcended everything wasn't entirely nonsense; there was some truth to it. Haki's defense was essentially an invisible armor, not truly an absolute defense in the literal sense, as it couldn't completely block elemental attacks; otherwise, Logia users wouldn't be able to play. But, now it seemed that when Haki was strong enough, its resistance was incredibly exaggerated. Normally, flesh and blood would be melted away in lava.

"Continue, just like before, Roa!" Big Brother Kaido had already charged forward immediately.

"Understood. Then, wind rise!" Roa activated his ability again. Around the rapidly approaching Garp, a tornado once again swallowed him.

But.

"The same trick won't work on me!" Garp punched directly behind him. The air roared like thunder from the impact. Using the recoil, Garp shot out of the tornado like lightning, then turned around and punched the somewhat caught-off-guard Kaido.

"Thunder Bagua!" Kaido hastily met the attack, but naturally, he was no match. He was instead directly punched into the lava pool below, receiving the treatment of a lava bath thirty-two years early.

"Big Brother Kaido, you're so unreliable!" As Roa pulled back, lightning descended again.

However.

"I told you, it's useless!" Garp's eyes flashed red. Just as Kaido would later weave through Luffy's torrential punches thirty-two years later, Garp also dodged calmly through the rain of lightning like a seabird.

Holy crap! Future Sight Observation Haki! Your build is also maxed out, isn't it?! To break through this type of Haki, a wider, omnidirectional attack was needed!

"Raijo!" Dark clouds suddenly rose, and dense black clouds instantly enveloped the sky, swallowing both Roa and Garp. Then, lightning furiously crackled within the clouds, indiscriminately blasting everything inside.

"Wahahahahaha! Fist of Justice: Galaxy Impact!" The black storm clouds shattered in the next instant; the white lightning ultimately could not contend with the black Haki lightning.

"This is getting a bit too strong!" Are you a One-Punch Man? Roa had to admit, Haki masters only played with stats. Tough enough body, fast enough speed, strong enough punch. That was enough to let them run rampant.

He couldn't win. It was time to retreat.

"Great Fire Dragon!" A hundreds-of-meters-long fire dragon shot straight up from the lava, and large amounts of lava rolled off its body, making it seem as if it were condensed from molten rock.

"Oh?" Garp looked down, his vision piercing through the fire dragon's exterior, seeing the Azure Dragon within, its scales blackened by the lava.

"Rising Dragon: Fire Bagua!!" The fire dragon's head turned completely black, wrapped in Armament and Conqueror's Haki, and charged directly towards Garp.

"Fist of Justice: Comet!!" The iron fist descended like a comet.

Boom!!

Black Haki radiated across the sky. The black flaming dragon's head struggled for two seconds before being shattered, and the entire fire dragon exploded along with it. The black and green dragon was once again struck down into the sea of lava.

"Big Brother Kaido!" Roa shouted at the top of his lungs. "Let's call it a day; we'll let him off the hook this time!"

The lava exploded, and the black dragon Kaido shot into the sky. "Roa, are you telling me to run away?"

Roa rolled his eyes. That's enough, you're really putting on an act now.

"How can it be called running away? This is a strategic retreat!" Roa said earnestly. "Being able to save you two is already our victory for this time. Now, we're just turning to another victory!"

"Wahahahahaha! Do you think you still have a chance to escape?" Garp twisted his neck. "There's only one place you can go, and that's Impel Down!"

"Is that so?" Roa took a deep breath. The black aura permeating the air immediately gathered around him like a whirlpool. "Then let me show you a very interesting move." The horns on Roa's forehead were practically glowing.

Rumble! The island below began to shake violently. The ground continuously undulated, and huge cracks appeared.

"Another earthquake?" Garp frowned. "But what use is an earthquake now?" All the survivors had already come out of the buildings!

"No, it's not an earthquake," Roa smiled innocently. "The island's bedrock is collapsing; soon the entire island will sink into the sea."

"What?" Garp's face changed drastically. There were tens of thousands of residents on this island!

"So, hurry and help with the disaster relief, Marine Hero," Roa said with a grin. "You don't need to see us off."

Garp instinctively clenched his fists. However, amidst the continuous booming noises, the already fragmented island truly began to slowly sink, just as Roa had said. Screams rose and fell.

"You bastard!!" Garp almost gnashed his teeth. "What exactly is your ability?" Could he even do something like this?

"I already told you," Roa's smile didn't falter. "Call me Natural Disaster."

Natural Disaster? Garp stared intently at Roa, then turned and shot away. It would take time to take down these flying guys. But he couldn't just stand by and watch everyone drown! He had to save as many as he could!

"Oh, good thing he really is a hero," Roa patted his chest, looking as if he had narrowly escaped. No matter how much he disdained the Marines, Roa had to admit that a significant portion of them would sacrifice themselves for civilians. Respect.

"Damn it!" Kaido, still dripping lava, glared at Garp's receding figure.

"Alright, Big Brother Kaido, time to go," Roa said. "Are you going to stay and save people? I'd be quite impressed then."

"Hmph!" Kaido snorted again, turning directly and flying away, ignoring Roa.

"Big Brother Kaido, you're going the wrong way, over here," Roa called out, pointing behind him.

Kaido paused, then silently turned around.

Thus, the plan to save the strategist Kaido was successfully completed. He truly was a Tier S+! Roa could use this move forever!

Soon after, Roa sat atop the giant dragon Kaido, stretching out his long legs, and without looking back, asked, "How's it, King? The air of freedom?"

Standing behind Roa, King gazed at the clouds at the horizon in the distance, a faint smile appearing on his indifferent face. "It's very pleasant."

How could it not be pleasant? He had a blast earlier. From now on, he'd have to work hard to make it up to Roa.

"You two brats, get down from here!" Kaido's displeased voice rang out.

"Don't be so stingy, Big Brother Kaido," Roa said lazily. "I traveled all the way from the North Blue just to save you."

"Hmph, what did my subordinates give in exchange?"

"Hahahaha, they insisted on giving it, and it would be rude not to accept, wouldn't it?" Roa chuckled, then decisively changed the subject. "By the way, Big Brother Kaido, do you want some territory?"
