Chapter 56: Chapter 56

Calm Belt, Amazon Lily

Outside the opulent palace hall, an anxious-looking Elder Nyon stumbled through the grand doors, clutching a newspaper in her hand as she hurried inside.

The palace was adorned with intricate carvings of dragons and phoenixes, its massive stone pillars draped with smooth, silken ribbons in a mesmerizing shade of pink.

The palace was vast and Elder Nyon passed through curtains and doors before finally reaching a chamber.

Catching her breath, she flung the door open and shouted.

"Snake Princess! Something terrible has happened—look at this newspaper!"

As Elder Nyon gaze swept across the room, she found herself in an enormous, luxurious bath chamber.

Steam rose from the pool of water, its surface scattered with crimson rose petals that filled the air with an intoxicating fragrance.

And there, in the water, was a woman of unparalleled beauty—a peerless enchantress, bathing in all her naked glory.

"Pfft!"

Even though Elder Nyon was a woman—and an elderly one at that—she couldn't withstand the overwhelming allure of the breathtaking beauty before her.

A spurt of blood shot from her nose as her small frame was sent flying backward.

The woman in the pool was none other than Boa Hancock, captain of the Kuja Pirates, Empress of Amazon Lily, former Warlord of the Sea and hailed as the most beautiful woman in the world.

Disturbed by Elder Nyon sudden nosebleed, Hancock frowned slightly, her delicate brows knitting as she lifted one leg and stepped out of the steaming water.

"Old hag, what are you disturbing me for now? Don't you know this is my sacred bathing time?" Empress Hancock tilted her chin upward, looking down at Elder Nyon sprawled on the ground.

Her posture was one of regal disdain, as if she were gazing down at an insignificant insect.

The innate arrogance in her demeanor made her seem even more untouchable—like a proud peacock.

"Snake Princess! Could you at least wear something decent? That thing doesn't cover anything—it's downright shameless!" Elder Nyon scrambled to her feet, her face flushing crimson at the sight of Hancock's translucent attire.

"This entire kingdom belongs to me. I shall dress—or undress—as I please. It is my right, for I am the most beautiful woman in the world!"

Hancock kicked Elder Nyon over, planting a foot on her chest as she raised her head so high she could barely see the old woman beneath her as she pointed a slender finger at Elder Nyon.

"Pfft—I can see everything... absolutely everything..." Another nosebleed erupted from Elder Nyon.

Watching the old woman collapse from excessive blood loss, Hancock expression returned to its usual icy composure.

She bent down, picked up the newspaper, and began to read.

"Hmph! These foul men again. The New World is always teeming with all sorts of monsters, but it has nothing to do with me."

Hancock had no interest whatsoever in the so-called Beast God Pirates or the new Yonko Caesar.

To her, there was only one man in this world worthy of her attention—Luffy.

Just as she was about to casually toss the newspaper aside, she caught sight of the section about Caesar.

"Defeated the newly crowned Yonko Monkey D. Luffy?" Hancock expression abruptly darkened as she frantically searched the paper for any news about Luffy.

Soon, when she flipped to the second page, she was met with the latest photo of Luffy and his crew—though how the Marines had obtained it was a mystery.

In the picture, Luffy lay unconscious on a chariot, his body covered in gruesome scars, his face so disfigured it looked horrifyingly grotesque.

His crewmates, including the one-armed Zoro, were also pictured.

But Hancock didn't care about them.

Her eyes were fixed solely on Luffy, battered and broken.

"Luffy! No! How could this happen?" Her hands trembled as she clutched the newspaper, staring in disbelief at the photo.

The sight of Luffy pitiful state wrenched her heart, making it hard to breathe.

She collapsed to her knees, clutching her chest, her face flushed with emotion as she glared at the image of Luffy.

Her gaze shifted from heartache and sorrow to pure, unbridled rage—a towering hatred for Caesar and the Beast God Pirates!

"Beast God Pirates! Barbarossa Caesar! How dare you inflict such injury upon Luffy! I will never forgive you!"

Her chest heaved violently, her eyes brimming with murderous intent as she tightly gripped the newspaper and stormed out of the palace.

"Sandersonia, Marigold! Mobilize the Kuja Pirates at once! We set sail for the New World immediately!"

As she marched, she barked orders at the two sisters standing guard outside the throne room.

"Yes, Sister!" Sandersonia and Marigold obeyed without question, immediately rushing off to gather their forces.

Half an hour later, Elder Nyon groggily awoke, blinking in confusion at the empty throne room.

After a moment of thought, her aged face twisted with dread.

"Oh no... where is the Snake Princess? Don't tell me—no, no, no! You mustn't go, Snake Princess!"

Her expression darkened as she scrambled out of the palace on her short legs, stumbling onto the open grounds.

Spotting the bustling Amazon Lily warriors, she grabbed a plump woman and urgently asked.

"Where's the Snake Princess? Have you seen her?"

The woman blinked in surprise. "Ah, Elder Nyon! Her Majesty set sail half an hour ago."

"What? She's gone? This is bad!" Elder Nyon collapsed to the ground in despair. "This is all my fault! Why did I show her that newspaper? I knew how much she cared about Straw Hat Luffy!"

Her face flickered with unease, her heart filled with dread.

She wasn't worried about Hancock going to find Luffy.

If that were the case, even though Hancock no longer had her Warlord status, with her ability to freely traverse the Calm Belt and the formidable strength of the Kuja Pirates, they wouldn't need to fear the Marine pursuit.

What Granny Nyon feared most was Hancock seeing Luffy injuries, getting hot-headed and directly heading to the New World to pick a fight with that monster.

"The Beast God Pirates, Caesar, Demon Caesar—this feels like Rocks Pirates back then. What a terrifying force, even Sengoku died. No, I have to call Rayleigh and have him keep an eye out for Hancock in Sabaody. I can't let them go to the New World—that would be far too dangerous!"
