The powerful saber energy transformed into a massive fire phoenix with wings spanning hundreds of meters.
The flaming phoenix flapped its wings, and the gust of wind and fiery heat it generated turned the surrounding area into a sea of flames. The scorching temperatures seared everyone's skin, and the overwhelming heat seemed capable of reducing everyone present to ashes.
"Get out of here! Quickly, everyone retreat!" Koby shouted, his voice filled with urgency.
Seeing the enormous fire phoenix, Koby knew Rebecca was getting serious. He had witnessed the might of the Four Souls Blade and understood the terrifying potential of the Golden Crow form of the Mera-Mera Fruit. Rebecca had been holding back until now, unwilling to harm innocent bystanders.
But with the arrival of Jack the Drought, Rebecca sensed a monumental threat and decided she could no longer suppress her full power. Most importantly, Doflamingo had escaped. If he managed to hide behind Jack and the latter succeeded in holding Rebecca off, catching Doflamingo again would become nearly impossible. Thus, Rebecca attacked with no restraint.
"Damn girl! How dare you act while I'm here!" Jack bellowed, his fury palpable. Doflamingo wasn't just a partner but someone he had cooperated with for years, forming a sense of camaraderie. Doflamingo's death would also severely impact Kaido's Beasts Pirates, and Jack couldn't allow that.
In a moment of rage, Jack fired countless bullets from his nostrils, each imbued with Armament Haki. The hailstorm of bullets rained down on Rebecca like a relentless barrage.
This time, Rebecca didn't dodge. She charged toward Doflamingo with unyielding determination. The fiery phoenix surrounding her burned away the Haki coating the bullets and melted them into molten iron. Jack's attack was rendered ineffective before it could reach her.
"Stop, girl!" Jack roared, but the distance between them was too great. Speed wasn't his forte, and he couldn't reach Rebecca in time.
Just as Rebecca's fiery attack closed in on Doflamingo, Virgo appeared in a flash, racing to shield his captain. His entire body was cloaked in a thick layer of Armament Haki, with a shimmering pink Emission Haki forming an outer shield around him.
Rebecca's Fire Phoenix Saber Qi collided with Virgo's body. The fiery attack penetrated through him, igniting his body in an instant. Despite the excruciating pain, Virgo didn't scream. Instead, he turned to look at Doflamingo one last time.
"Young Master, this is it for me. Take care of yourself," Virgo said calmly before the flames consumed him, reducing him to ashes.
Among Doflamingo's subordinates, only Torrepol and Virgo had ever truly cared for him. Seeing Virgo die before his eyes, Doflamingo let out a guttural, anguished scream. "Virgo!"
But Rebecca's phoenix didn't stop. The powerful attack continued its trajectory, slamming into Doflamingo's chest. His body erupted into blood-red flames, and the pain was unbearable. Desperately, he dove into the ocean, hoping to extinguish the flames.
It was futile. Even underwater, the flames burned with unrelenting intensity. Within moments, Doflamingo was reduced to ashes, leaving nothing behind.
A hero of the underworld, a genius, and the king of the underground world had met his end at Rebecca's hands.
"You'll pay for this, girl!" Jack roared. Doflamingo's death was a catastrophic loss for the Beasts Pirates, and Jack's own reputation was now at stake. He charged toward Rebecca, his body radiating an oppressive aura of Armament Haki.
Jack's Haki was far denser and more refined than Virgo's, and every step he took felt like a mountain crashing down. The sheer force of his presence caused an overwhelming sense of suffocation to spread across the battlefield.
As one of the Three Disasters of Kaido's Beasts Pirates, Jack was a figure feared across the seas. His immense physique and the Beasts Pirates' Qi and body training had elevated his strength to terrifying levels. With Kaido's forces rising in prominence, they were steadily approaching domination over the seas.
Jack marched forward, weapons in hand, ready to clash with Rebecca. But Rebecca wasn't alone. Standing behind her was a formidable assembly of allies:
- Koby, wielding the power of the Shock-Shock Fruit.
- Diamond Jozu, with his indomitable body and shining durability.
- Bartolomeo, with his unbreakable Barrier-Barrier Fruit.
- Cavendish, known for his dual personalities and swordsmanship.
- Vista the "Foil," master of the blade.
- Pika, a recent ally with the Copy-Copy Fruit.
- Helmeppo, who possessed the Lava-Lava Fruit.
Their combined strength was awe-inspiring, enough to defeat Jack multiple times over.
A lesser man would have fled in the face of such odds, but Jack stood firm. He glared at the group, his voice booming with anger. "You filthy bastards killed Doflamingo! I'll make you all pay for this!"
Raising his weapons, Jack swung toward Rebecca. But before she could react, Vista stepped forward.
"This one's mine, Rebecca. Take a rest," Vista said confidently.
Rebecca glanced at him and shook her head. "Uncle Vista, I appreciate it, but this fight is mine. I need to see it through."
"Rebecca, are you sure?" Vista asked, concern in his voice.
Rebecca nodded firmly. "The Golden Crow form of the Mera-Mera Fruit and the Four Souls Blade are gifts from Lord Chiba. They've given me the strength to avenge my family and free Dressrosa. Fighting Jack is my way of proving that these gifts were not wasted."
Vista stepped back, but not before offering a final warning. "If you're in trouble, call for us. We're here for you. Captain Chiba wouldn't want anything to happen to you."
"I understand. If I can't handle him, I'll call for backup," Rebecca promised. She turned her gaze to Jack, her determination unshaken, and stepped forward to face him head-on.
