Chapter 115: Chapter 115: Headquarters Mission
"Did they commit any heinous crimes, like slaughtering entire villages or islands, killing without reason?" Rorschach looked toward Yunque.
Hibari thought for a moment, then gently shook her head.
"I'm not sure. I can't rule out the possibility, given they're lawless pirates. But according to the information we have, there's no record of them committing such atrocities."
"I see."
As Rorschach pondered how to deal with the Decalban Brothers, a sudden sound interrupted them.
"Purururu, purururu."
Hibari's den-den mushi started ringing. She quickly took the small device from her chest and answered.
"Click."
"Moshi moshi, this is Hibari."
"Little Hibari, it's Grandpa Sengoku. Is that rascal Rorschach with you?"
The voice of an elderly Sengoku came through, and the snail's head morphed into Sengoku's old face, complete with glasses, looking remarkably lifelike.
"Grandpa Sengoku, Brother Rorschach is here with me. Oh, and we just captured the Decalban Brothers and their pirate crew. What should we do with them?"
Seeing it was Sengoku calling, Hibari's voice held a cheerful tone.
"What? The Decalban Brothers? You mean those two freeloaders who cause trouble everywhere?" Sengoku paused, then asked.
Hibari nodded, "Yes, them. They were freeloading again on Sabaody Island, and we happened to come across them. Brother Rorschach defeated them."
"Well done! Now I can finally report something good about those terrible gluttons. By the way, you're not hurt, are you?"
Sengoku sounded pleased but then asked with concern.
"No, we're perfectly fine. Brother Rorschach easily took them down," Hibari replied with pride, as if she had subdued them herself.
"Hmm... it seems I've underestimated that lad. The Decalban Brothers, who each have a bounty of 150 million Beli and who even Vice Admiral Gumiir couldn't capture, were handled effortlessly by Rorschach. This puts my mind at ease. Yunque, pass the den-den mushi to him—I have a task for Rorschach."
Sengoku finally made up his mind.
"A mission for me? What is it, old man?"
Rorschach took the den-den mushi that Hibari handed over, looking somewhat puzzled.
"Well, a new batch of pirates has arrived on Sabaody Island, and they might be even stronger than the Decalban Brothers."
"Two of the captains are among the most powerful supernovas this year, with the highest bounties."
"Blood Avenger Alisto and Steel Marauder Dafylo."
"Their bounties are 360 million and 210 million, respectively. They're formidable newcomers."
Rorschach's pupils contracted slightly. "Newcomers with bounties that high?"
It was understandable that Rorschach was shocked.
After all, it was only the end of Marine Calendar 1516, and bounty inflation hadn't yet reached the levels it would four or five years later.
For example, someone like Migjones, with real strength, would match the threat level of pirates with over a billion-Beli bounty.
In some ways, Migjones was an even greater threat than the Decalban Brothers. His method of parasitic reproduction and energy collection was somewhat reminiscent of Moria's shadow-gathering abilities.
If Migjones had a bit more inherent strength, capable of absorbing the energy of thousands or tens of thousands, his power would indeed be terrifying.
If Migjones was formidable, then Alisto, with a bounty three times higher, must be even stronger.
Noting the surprise in Rorschach's voice, Sengoku fell silent for a few seconds, as though holding something back.
After a while, he spoke gravely: "The bounties are so high because of the heinous crimes they've committed. They've massacred over a dozen Marine branches, killing thousands of Marine soldiers. Such public defiance of us must end here on Sabaody. We cannot allow the Alisto brothers to enter the New World."
"Kizaru says your combat abilities should be enough to handle the two brothers. Therefore, I want you to take on the mission to capture Alisto and Dafylo."
"As for their specific abilities and combat traits, Hibari should know. You can ask her."
"I understand. I'll capture them as soon as possible," Rorschach agreed, without hesitation.
Since the targets were ruthless pirates who slaughtered Marines without restraint, it would be necessary to crush them with overwhelming force.
With this thought, a spark of lightning flickered in Rorschach's eyes.
"As for the Decalban Brothers, Headquarters will send Lieutenant Commander Tina to take them into custody."
After that, the den-den mushi call ended.
"Brother Rorschach, what should we do with these people? Are we supposed to keep an eye on them here until Sister Tina arrives?"
Before Hibari could finish her question, she saw Rorschach stretch out his hand towards the ground, fingers clenched.
"Wind Burial!"
A surge of powerful air currents swept in, compressing into sharp wind blades that split the ground open in massive gashes.
The ground ruptured and air pressure expanded, causing the fissures to widen.
Then, chains of wind locked around the group of pirates, pulling them into the ground, burying them all up to their necks.
The Decalban Brothers, who had been electrocuted and lay sprawled on the ground, suffered the same fate, buried by Rorschach .
To prevent any escape, Rorschach grasped the air again and pulled downwards.
The motion looked very much like Whitebeard's ultimate move from the Great War atop Marineford.
However, the force and effect were, of course, different.
The pressure pressed down, sinking the ground by two or three meters across several dozen meters, compressing it until the buried pirates could barely move, turning the ground as hard as metal. The pirates' faces turned red from the pressure, nearly suffocating them.
"Alright, that should be enough. However, capturing Alisto is still quite dangerous for you."
Rorschach looked down at Hibari, "Hibari, could you watch over them here for me? The den-den mushi is with you, so you can handle things when Lieutenant Commander Tina arrives."
Hibari opened her mouth, as though wanting to say something, but in the end, she nodded obediently.
"Don't worry, I'll handle it here. Brother Rorschach, be careful, and make sure to call Luo as backup."
"I'll leave this to you, then. I think I've already spotted one of my targets. Also, keep an eye on the Decalban Brothers. If you notice them stirring, move away immediately and don't engage."
To ensure the Decalban Brothers wouldn't wake up prematurely, Rorschach stepped forward and hit them with another two blasts of high-voltage electricity.
Then, smiling, he gently ruffled Hibari's hair before taking off. His tall figure shot up, wrapped in invisible currents, vanishing swiftly among the giant red mangroves.
"I'm still too weak... I can't help Brother Rorschach at all. I'll need to work harder in my training from now on!"
As she watched Rorschach disappear, a hint of embarrassment appeared on Hibari's face.
