One Piece: Enslaving a Celestial Dragon and Kidnapping Nami and Robin

Chapter 78: [78] A Deal with Sengoku – Plotting Against the Whitebeard Pirates

"Enies Lobby has been invaded by the Godslayer Sora?!"

The Marine communications officer was stunned when he heard the urgent shouting from the transponder snail.

"I understand. I'll report to Fleet Admiral Sengoku immediately!"

He dropped the receiver and sprinted toward the Fleet Admiral's office.

BAM!

He flung the door open and shouted, "Fleet Admiral Sengoku, urgent situation!"

"Enies Lobby is under attack! The criminal Sora has invaded and is requesting reinforcements!"

"What did you say?!" Sengoku put down his newspaper, staring at the marine in disbelief.

Damn it—Sora had just attacked the G-8 Marine Base a few days ago and hijacked a World Government ship carrying the Heavenly Tribute.

And now this bastard was making trouble again?!

Suddenly, another communications officer burst in.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku! We just received intel from the waters near Water 7."

"Last night, the criminal Sora attacked the Marine vessel anchored there. He knocked out all personnel on board and kidnapped Colonel Hina."

"What?!"

Hina was abducted?

Sengoku shot up from his seat, his expression darkening.

That bastard Sora!

He must've struck Water 7 first before moving on to Enies Lobby!

"Summon the—"

Just as Sengoku was about to mobilize forces toward Enies Lobby, yet another marine ran in holding a transponder snail.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku! A call from the criminal Sora!"

"He says he wants to speak with you!"

What?!

Sengoku snatched the transponder snail from the marine's hands and waved everyone else out of the room.

"YOU BASTARD, SORA! LET HINA GO RIGHT NOW!!" he roared into the receiver.

"Hahahaha! Sorry, Mr. Sengoku, I can't do that," came Sora's voice, laughing arrogantly. "Hina's my woman now."

This damn bastard!!

Sengoku's blood boiled.

If Hina was his woman now, the implications were obvious—and infuriating.

"You won't be laughing for long, punk. I'm coming for you personally!" Sengoku growled through clenched teeth.

But Sora wasn't finished.

"She's got something to say to you," he said with a sly laugh.

On the deck of the Ark Maxim, Sora handed the transponder snail to Hina. By now, he had left Enies Lobby and was flying toward the unnamed island where the Divine Slave was anchored with Kalifa by his side.

Even if the Marines moved now, they'd never catch him.

Hina wants to speak?

That caught Sengoku off guard. His anger stalled for a moment, not quite following the sudden shift in tone.

Fresh from waking up, Hina shot Sora a glare, then picked up the snail.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, this is Hina."

"Hina! Are you alright?!" Sengoku's voice immediately softened with concern.

"I'm fine. But I do have something important to tell you," she replied coldly, swatting Sora's hand away as he tried to get cheeky again.

"What is it?" Sengoku asked, frowning.

"Sora wants to take part in the campaign against Whitebeard. He wants your approval."

"If you agree, he'll help reduce the pressure Whitebeard puts on you. The condition is that the Marines don't target him."

Sengoku's frown deepened.

"Hina… do you trust him?"

If she was saying this, she must have a reason. Sengoku didn't believe she'd just flip sides overnight after being kidnapped.

Hina hesitated, then said, "It's complicated. He does attack World Government ships…"

"But he's never harmed regular Marines. Whether it was at G-8, last night, or just now at Enies Lobby—he only kills corrupt or abusive individuals."

"He's calling now mainly to make sure the Marines don't interfere when the fight with Whitebeard starts. That would only make things harder for him."

"So… can he be trusted? I don't know. You'll have to decide that yourself, Fleet Admiral."

Sengoku rubbed his temples.

"So you're saying he's going to get involved in the war no matter what?"

"Yes. He's already prepared. As for how he plans to act, I don't know."

"But I can say for sure—his targets are Whitebeard and the pirates."

Her tone was firm.

Sengoku fell into deep thought.

Taking down Whitebeard was his highest priority. He couldn't afford to be distracted by Sora's unpredictable behavior.

If Sora was serious about helping, it could ease the pressure significantly.

And judging by his tone, even if Sengoku refused, he'd still show up to the battlefield.

In that case, his unpredictable appearance might even disrupt Marine operations.

And if what Hina said was true—that he only acted against evildoers—then it might be worth cooperating.

After weighing everything, Sengoku finally spoke into the snail:

"I'll suppress today's events and ensure that the Marines don't pursue him in the future."

"If he agrees, then I'll accept his proposal."

The incident at Enies Lobby had just happened—it wouldn't be hard to keep it under wraps.

"I agree—ah!"

Sora's voice came through the snail, followed by Hina's startled yelp.

Then the line cut off.

"You little punk… you'd better follow through," Sengoku muttered, his brow twitching as he stared at the disconnected transponder snail.

"If not, even if I have to resign from the Marines, I will drag you in myself."

Still, with Sora's participation, his confidence in the upcoming war against Whitebeard had grown.

The next morning.

Aboard the Divine Slave—

Sora, having returned via the Ark Maxim, was lounging at the front of the ship, enjoying the view.

All around him, the women under his command were training, dressed in crop tops and short shorts. Their toned legs filled the deck like a sea of beauty.

No doubt—this was the most pleasing view in the world.

Of course, it would be even better if Smoothie joined them.

With Hina and Kalifa—both former Marine and Government agents—now part of his crew, Sora had revamped the training regime.

In addition to physical and Haki training, he added Life Return and the Six Powers to the curriculum.

Training now began at 6 a.m. instead of 7 and went until 11.

Kalifa, of course, was the instructor.

Although she hadn't mastered Life Return like Lucci or Kumadori, she had a solid grasp of the Six Powers and knew the techniques well enough to teach.

And this also gave her a way to integrate with the others—particularly Reiju and Robin, with whom she hadn't exactly gotten along.
