After discussing it, they decided to negotiate with the Uchiha clan's leader, Uchiha Fugaku, hoping to prevent the Uchiha clan from leaving Konoha. As one of the two founding clans of Konoha, the Third Hokage did not want the Uchiha clan to leave. The Uchiha clan was Konoha's top combat force.

"Itachi, you're too naive! Too many in the Uchiha clan resent Konoha's neglect. This long-standing grudge can't be resolved through negotiation alone."

As Shisui's warning echoed, the genjutsu dissolved, and Itachi returned to reality. The sound of a sword being drawn rang in his ears, and a strand of black hair fell to the ground before he even noticed. Shisui's Body Flicker Technique was indeed unmatched; Itachi hadn't even reacted before his hair was cut.

Staring at the strand of hair drifting away in the breeze, Itachi stood drenched in cold sweat, his body trembling despite the scorching sun.

In the forest, Naruto leaned against a tree trunk, listening to the birds chirping lazily as he gazed at the clouds. Through indirect questioning, Naruto had learned from Sasuke that the Uchiha clan had been acting strangely lately.

What was Uchiha Shisui planning? With a traitor inside (likely Itachi) and another outside (likely Obito), plus Danzo lurking in the shadows, the situation was dire.

Naruto scratched out the idea of two traitors—Itachi and Obito—both clan destroyers. If they were targeting the Senju clan, it would be understandable, but why target their own Uchiha clan?

Kakashi instinctively hid the book behind his back at Naruto's voice, looking around. Spotting the mouse with a golden strand of hair, he paid for the book and left the store, clutching the struggling mouse.

Seeing the mouse's mischievous gaze, Kakashi coughed to ease the awkwardness and released its tail.

"Speak. What do you want?"

Naruto canceled the transformation, crossed his arms, and grinned at Kakashi.

"Teach me the Shadow Clone Technique! If you don't, I'll tell everyone about your creepy obsession with porn!"

Hearing Naruto's threat, Kakashi didn't get angry. He stared blankly for a moment.

"Give me one good reason, and I'll teach you."

"Hmm…" Naruto thought seriously. "I heard Shadow Clones are solid. I want to train with myself!"

Naruto's words reminded Kakashi that aside from school, Iruka, and Sasuke, Naruto was mostly alone.

Only Naruto would want to train with his clones.

After teaching Naruto the hand seals for the Shadow Clone Technique, Kakashi left, leaving Naruto with a basic understanding.

"Shadow Clone Technique!"

Naruto performed the seals, and with a puff of smoke, a limp, ashen clone collapsed on the ground, eyes closed. If not for its noodle-like limbs, it would look like it was sleeping.
