Naruto: To Hell This Suicide System

At Sunagakure's outpost.

Inside a tent.

"Chiyo-sama, per your orders, we've deployed the agent near the Konoha camp. The Konoha-nins are reacting as you predicted." a Suna-nin knelt, reporting.

"Hm, and no Konoha-nins spotted you?" Chiyo fixed him with a stern gaze.

If Konoha noticed, they might turn the tables, pinpoint this outpost, and attack.

"Yes, Chiyo-sama, no one detected me." the ninja replied, cold sweat beading.

Chiyo's prestige in Sunagakure was immense.

Even the new Kazekage, Rasa, lacked her stature.

During the Second Ninja World War, Chiyo was already a renowned figure in the village.

"Good." Chiyo nodded lightly, trusting him. If he'd been tailed, Konoha-nins might be attacking by now.

No sign of that yet.

"Miyamoto Yama, keep the ninjas alert. Prepare for a Konoha sneak attack and be ready to withdraw." Chiyo ordered another ninja.

"Yes, Chiyo-sama. Per your command, our ninjas are set to attack or retreat." Miyamoto Yama said. "We've even laid traps around the outpost."

"Good, well done." Chiyo nodded, pleased. "One hour from now, hit that camp. If the contagion spreads, perfect. If not, eliminate those Konoha-nins. My toxin weakens over time due to its contagious nature."

"Yes."

As the Suna-nins prepped to target Tengen's camp,

At the Konoha strike team's camp.

Tengen studied the toxin, seeking a cure.

Truthfully, he knew medical ninjutsu well, thanks to knowledge and experience from past videos.

Outside the tent, a red-haired woman waited anxiously.

"Kushina-sama, don't worry. Tengen-sama will find a way." a ninja reassured her.

This woman, Kushina, led the strike team, a Konoha Jonin.

Her unique physique spared her the toxin, but others weren't so lucky.

"I know, but Tengen's a Jonin now." Kushina mused, recalling his standout Chunin Exams performance. She knew him well.

His rapid rise to Jonin was stunning.

Now, they needed his help.

The infected couldn't be moved widely, risking further spread, so they stayed, tended by medical ninjas.

No doubt, Sunagakure caused this. Konoha sent over a hundred ninjas here to guard against sudden attacks.

As Kushina's thoughts wandered, the tent opened, and Tengen emerged.

"How is it, Tengen?" Kushina approached.

"No issue. Here's the antidote." Tengen handed her a test tube. "Mix it with water and have them drink it."

"That simple?" Kushina blinked.

"What, expecting something complex?" Tengen glanced at her, exasperated.

"Alright, got it." Kushina hurried to distribute the antidote to the poisoned.

Tengen's formula worked fast. In ten minutes, the ninjas' rotting skin stabilized, chakra normalized, and spirits lifted.

"Now it's just surface wounds, no big impact on fighting." Tengen said, eyeing the recovering ninjas.

"Tengen, you're amazing, great at combat and medical ninjutsu. Truly Konoha's genius." Kushina praised.

"Hold the praise. I studied this toxin. Even without treatment, they'd recover in hours." Tengen said.

"Then why would Sunagakure do this?" Kushina puzzled.

If the toxin wasn't lethal, wasn't it pointless?

Tengen looked at her like she was dim.

"What's that look, Tengen?" Kushina caught his odd stare.

"Kushina, I thought you had some smarts. Maybe I was wrong." Tengen said flatly.

Nearby ninjas stifled laughs.

Tengen-sama was quite the character.

"What's that mean, Tengen?" Kushina's voice rose.

"Nothing." Tengen replied coolly. "It means Sunagakure might attack here soon."

"What?" Kushina froze. An attack?

"They used this toxin knowing we couldn't move the infected." Tengen explained.

"Then we…" Kushina caught on.

"We'll trap them like fish in a net." Tengen smirked. If Sunagakure aimed to take out Konoha's ninjas, they'd turn the tables.

Some time later.

"There's Konoha's camp." Chiyo gazed at distant shadows, countless figures on stretchers, a few weary Konoha-nins. A bad feeling stirred.

"Yes, Chiyo-sama." a Suna-nin pointed ahead. "Our scouts say they've only sent over a hundred ninjas."

"Good. Attack." Chiyo waved.

Countless Suna-nins surged forward, no need for stealth.

"Boom!" As they neared, explosions roared.

The power of exploding tags.

"We've been ambushed!"
