Naruto: My Progress in Konoha.

Chapter 189: Chapter 189

With his thoughts collected, Uchiha Haruki began allocating chakra.

Now, including the chakra harvested from seven prisoners and his own natural regeneration, he had a total of 62,000 chakra points available each day.

After thinking it through, Haruki decided to invest 30,000 chakra points into training Mystic Palm Jutsu. This would yield around 200 proficiency points per day.

Since this technique was his primary method of increasing his "Physique" stat, Haruki had no intention of being stingy with chakra investment.

As for the remaining 32,000 chakra…

He decided to set aside 15,000 chakra points—to be split evenly among:

Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu

Fire Release: Dragon Fire Jutsu

Wind Release: Great Breakthrough

The first two were meant to be pushed to max level as soon as possible to enhance combat strength.

The third was for learning both form transformation and nature transformation of Wind Release chakra.

With this solid foundation, it would greatly benefit him later when training Wind Release: Blade of Wind, developing Wind Release: Rasenshuriken, or even creating a new technique—Flash Sword Jutsu.

Thinking of Flash Sword, Haruki also recalled two other sword-style techniques he'd been planning:

Shadow Blade Jutsu and Illusion Blade Jutsu.

Shadow Blade was still out of reach for now.

But Illusion Blade... he was getting close.

Haruki glanced at his status panel.

His proficiency in Genjutsu: Sharingan was already more than halfway to the next level.

If he invested 12,000 chakra points per day, he could max it out at Level 7 within a month.

Once that happened, he could try combining it with his swordsmanship to create the Illusion Blade Jutsu.

"Yeah… let's go with that," Haruki nodded firmly, decision made.

That left 5,000 chakra points still unassigned.

He thought about it and allocated:

500 points to Swordsmanship training (to ensure his sword level kept pace with his genjutsu).

1,500 points to Shadow Clone Jutsu practice (as prep work for developing Shadow Blade Jutsu).

The former was necessary because it would be a joke if he perfected his genjutsu but lacked the sword skill to pull off Illusion Blade.

So, sword proficiency had to be raised.

As for the latter, training Shadow Clone Jutsu meant he had to be mindful of his chakra reserves. He could only train it when his chakra was low, or the cost would be too high.

That left 3,000 chakra points.

Haruki decided to put them all into training Rasengan.

After all, this jutsu was the core to developing the S-rank Wind Release: Rasenshuriken—it couldn't be ignored.

And with that, all 62,000 chakra points were fully allocated for daily use.

Next up was scheduling.

Haruki couldn't spend all his time holed up in the hidden base, so he left a shadow clone behind at the stronghold to keep up appearances.

After all, this base was still within Iwagakure's territory.

Even if they couldn't send reinforcements for now, that didn't mean Konoha forces could relax.

Just like the past week, Iwa-nin were likely to keep up frequent harassment.

As a jonin, Haruki would have to fight personally.

He had already built up some reputation, and the enemy definitely wouldn't keep sending cannon fodder his way.

Only jonin-level opponents would be dispatched to take him on now.

If he used clones to fight and got discovered, the village might come asking questions later. Haruki didn't want that kind of trouble.

Besides, he also wanted to use real combat to hone his swordsmanship—which meant he needed to be present.

So, he'd need to carefully arrange what skills to train, and when.

Time passed slowly as Haruki sat cross-legged, planning his training in detail.

Finally, he opened his eyes, a complete plan forming in his mind.

First, he would focus on training Genjutsu: Sharingan, Rasengan, and Shadow Clone Jutsu at the secret base. These didn't create much noise and didn't take too long to practice.

As for the louder jutsu—like Great Fireball, Dragon Fire, and Great Breakthrough—he would train those at the stronghold.

Altogether, these three only used 15,000 chakra points. Since his natural regeneration could cover this much, there was no concern about overuse.

As for Swordsmanship...

It was time-intensive and not exactly quiet, so it could only be trained at the stronghold or on the battlefield.

Luckily, it didn't require much chakra, so he could draw from either himself or his prisoners.

No major issues there.

The only real challenge was Mystic Palm Jutsu.

While quiet to perform, it consumed massive chakra and took a lot of time.

If he were only brushing proficiency, it wouldn't be too bad—he could easily do that at the secret base.

But the problem was, Haruki needed to use its Yang Release chakra to physically strengthen his body, not just cast and cancel it.

From experience, each enhancement session took about 3 minutes.

Doing it 200 times per day meant 600 minutes—10 full hours.

With all his other training scheduled, he wouldn't have enough time to finish everything at the secret base.

Which meant... he'd have to split this training between the base and the stronghold.

But Mystic Palm required a large amount of chakra.

His natural regeneration of 27,000 chakra per day wasn't enough to support it completely.

At the same time, he couldn't keep running back and forth to the secret base to refuel—that risked exposing its location, something Haruki absolutely couldn't allow.

The solution?

Split the Mystic Palm training in two:

One portion at the secret base

The other at the stronghold

To make this work, he'd also need to reduce sleep time as much as possible.

Only then would he have enough hours in the day to complete his full regimen.

Currently, after using chakra on Great Fireball, Dragon Fire, Great Breakthrough, and Swordsmanship, he still had about 11,000 chakra points left.

That was enough to relieve some of the burden.

So he'd split the Mystic Palm sessions across the two locations and make it work.

"Phew…"

Haruki exhaled deeply.

He reviewed the entire training schedule one last time.

After confirming there were no flaws, he began his routine.

Time flew by like a fleeting horse's shadow.

In the blink of an eye, a week had passed.

That evening, Haruki returned to the stronghold after leading a routine patrol.

After confirming that there was nothing else requiring his presence, he left behind a shadow clone and headed off to his secret base.

During the past week, he had quietly captured two more Iwa chunin, providing an extra 10,000 chakra points per day.

All of that went directly into Mystic Palm training—at the cost of further reducing his sleep.

But the payoff?

He managed to level up early, a full day ahead of schedule.

His proficiency had gone from Level 4 (350/2000) to Level 5 (20/5000).

Now, whenever he used the jutsu to channel Yang chakra into his body, Haruki could clearly feel the physical enhancements.

He estimated that in about two more weeks, his Physique stat would evolve significantly.

When that happened, both his maximum chakra and regeneration speed would receive a huge boost.

Haruki was really looking forward to that day.

After entering the base, he checked on his nine prisoners to make sure they were stable.

Once everything was confirmed to be in order, he settled in and began his training routine as usual.
