Chapter 34: [CHAPTER 34] Hinata's Love Language (With Sneaky Peeks and Finger Fidgets)
While aside from the matters of Kurama, Kakashi also wanted to teach Fūinjutsu to Naruto. Moreover, Kakashi himself now could be considered a Master in sealing art, if not Grandmaster.
Even before he restarted his Fūinjutsu training now, with the help of his Shadow Clones, he was already considered an Intermediate to Advanced in Sealing art.
"Not in a few days, maybe I should tell Naruto all about Kurama's case after the Land of Waves mission," Kakashi changed his mind and decided. With this, he would also have more time to plan out the conversation.
Even though Naruto is naive, directly telling Naruto all about Tailed-Beasts history and how other great nations and the world saw them, plus about his parent's death at this stage, without a proper way, might have unforeseen results, which might not be good.
So, Kakashi wanted a good talk with Naruto, once he had planned this all out, though he knew that Naruto as Ashura's reincarnation wouldn't turn evil.
Even in the anime, Naruto never turned evil, despite being ostracized and ill-treated by Konoha. How would he now? But safety was still important.
—
A few more days passed. Naruto and Sasuke were still practicing their respective Jutsu, though they would be master them in a few more days.
But in that time, they would be doing their first C-rank mission, and after some thoughts, Kakashi didn't think he had any need to train them in anything extra for now.
The only thing that would be good for them to improve was combat experience, so Kakashi decided to have all three Genin have a sparring session with other Genin.
Kakashi's first choice was Team Guy; however, they had already gone out of the village for a C-rank mission and wouldn't be back for some days.
In the end, Kakashi had to go with one of the remaining two teams, Team Asuma and Team Kurenai, and Kakashi had requested Kurenai for this, as in Team Asuma, no one could exactly give his students any proper match.
Shikamaru was lazy, Choji might not give his all, especially that secret technique of Akimichi Clan, remaining only Ino, who would definitely give her all against Sakura and Naruto, if matched up.
But her alone wasn't enough, plus it wasn't even actually about giving them combat experience, but just to give them confidence in how much they had improved over the last few weeks after graduation.
So, he went to Kurenai, rather than Asuma. Today, Kurenai's Genin were present in the Training Ground, with Kakashi arriving with his team.
"Yo, Kurenai, are your students ready for today's sparring?" Kakashi said, greeting Kurenai Yūhi upon arriving.
Kurenai greeted him back. "I'm good, and my team is also ready, what about yours?"
Naruto was the one who replied to her, "Of course we are, Kurenai-sensei, and Kiba, get ready to be defeated by me today."
Kiba Inuzuka stood on the right of Kurenai, with his Ninken, Akamaru, over his head, wearing dark grayish pants and a gray, hooded fur-lined coat, with the hood behind it.
Shino stood with Kiba, sporting brown hair, wearing dark round sunglasses and a sea-green jacket, and Hinata also stood on the other side with Kurenai, wearing her usual cream-colored hooded-jacket with a fire symbol on the upper sleeves and fur around the cuffs and hem.
She also wore navy blue pants and kept her forehead protector loosely around her neck, fidgeting her fingers, as she sneakily took peeks at Naruto; a small blush was ever present on her face.
Kiba smirked, having equally loud energy as Naruto, replied, "Hah, you defeating me? I don't remember you ever defeating me in academy spars."
"Hey—" Naruto about to retorted, but before he could say anything more, Kakashi stopped them, putting his hand on Naruto's shoulder.
"Calm down, it's just a practice spar, Naruto, Kiba, so don't start real fighting over it," Kakashi said.
Kiba and Naruto were loud and impulsive in personality, but others weren't. Neither Shino nor Hinata, and the same was the case with Sasuke and Sakura, who were also not much talkative and just greeted each other with a small nod upon arrival.
While Sakura was not exactly a silent or shy type as Hinata, but she always tried to have a good image in front of others.
Especially from the time she had become Kakashi's student, she had been quite conservative, which was obviously quite different from how she was in the anime, mostly because of Kakashi's different attitude and impression on her.
"Alright, let's start with you two first," Kurenai said. Kiba was still smirking at Naruto, while Naruto also started to grin; he was indeed very confident that now he could defeat Kiba.
While Naruto was never bad at academy spars, but against Clan Kids, he usually had less chances. But with the training he had done, thanks to Kakashi, for the last few weeks, made him confident.
Moreover, this was the main purpose of these spars; Kakashi knew that real combat experience would only come from real battles, not spars. But this spar today was all about boosting his student's confidence.
While Sasuke was always top of his batch, Naruto and Sakura today would understand how much they had improved, same is the case for Kurenai's Genin.
Kakashi and Kurenai had already thought about their matchups yesterday. Naruto with Kiba, as Kakashi knew that Hinata might not go all out against Naruto.
While Shino had a big weakness against Naruto—his insects couldn't affect Naruto's Chakra under Kurama's presence.
So, only Kiba could give Naruto a good match; his animalistic fighting style was good for Naruto's unpredictable fighting style.
And Sasuke against Hinata, because against Sakura, Hinata would easily win, especially if she activated her Byakugan; current Sakura might not even get a chance to make a single hit on Hinata, who was good at close combat than Sakura, because of Hyuga Clan's Gentle Fist Art.
While Sasuke with his Sharingan would get a good experience with a Hyūga's Byakugan, if he spar against Hinata.
Plus Shino being not directly a close combatant would give Sakura chances to use her offense—Taijutsu, Body Flicker, and Wild Water Wave, though she had not properly mastered Water Ninjutsu.
Naruto and Kiba stood face to face, while others stood at the side to see their spar properly. Naruto deactivated his Gravity Seal and looked at Kiba with a grin. Kakashi then announced, "Start!"
