Chapter 149: Chapter 14: The Mutated Harry
"This is the last legacy my father left me." Harry pointed to the golden serum in the cabinet and said silently in a serious tone.
"Our family has a genetic disease that is difficult to cure. The disease will begin to occur at the age of twenty." Harry told everything he knew.
"And my father, Norman Osborn, has devoted decades of research to eradicate this virus." All the truth that Harry knew was told to him by Norman Osborn.
Maybe a lot of things were concealed, but because Norman is dead, these things have become unimportant.
"He spent a lot of effort to research this serum. It can cut off the disease in my genes. I and my future descendants will no longer be troubled by the genetic virus."
Harry said seriously, turning to look at Peter and Jason.
"You are my most trusted friends, and I expect you to help me." Harry's tone was serious as he took out the serum.
"Although this serum has been tested and has indeed eliminated the virus in my body, I also hope that you can assist me because I'm afraid I can't operate so many instruments by myself." Harry pointed to the operating table.
In order to ensure the safety when injecting this serum, Norman also prepared many other related equipment and auxiliary injections.
Obviously, this injection, and there are not many people Harry can trust. Peter and Jason are the most important and trustworthy friends.
"Okay, what do we need to do?" Jason knew that Norman had hidden a lot of things from Harry, but he was not in the mood to reveal them.
Because now that Norman is dead, everything has been settled. As Harry's good friend, Jason does not want Harry to bear the shackles of Norman's sin.
So he didn't tell Harry how many crimes Norman had committed while studying the serums.
Peter's psychology was also complicated, because he also knew that Harry's antidote was probably developed by countless people at the cost of their lives.
In order to save Harry, Norman paved a road with blood and bones, whether it was the antidote or the limb repair serum.
Peter Parker looked at Jason with complicated eyes. Jason understood the meaning of his eyes, but still shook his head slightly.
It's meaningless to say all this now.
But what the two didn't know was that the most critical ingredient in this serum was the ingredient produced during Peter's mutation.
Because Janet thought she had done a good job of keeping the secret, and since Jason had completely eliminated the beast in Peter's body.
All of Peter's problems had disappeared, so Jason and Peter simply asked Zack to stop the research plan.
So no one thought that Peter's blood had actually fallen into the hands of Norman Osborn, and Norman had developed a serum.
The two thought that the serum was the product of those inhumane experiments.
"Peter, you should have come into contact with these things in Dr. Connors' laboratory." Harry said, pointing to the instruments.
"Maybe it will be a little painful when injecting the serum." Harry said. "So I think you'd better tie me up to prevent me from struggling during the process."
"Okay, Peter, you come and tell me what to do later." Harry was immediately fixed on an operating table as requested.
Peter studied the instructions left by Norman, and found several other auxiliary injections for use in conjunction with the medicine according to Norman's instructions.
Mix them all in proportion, and then put all the necessary injections and repair fluids into a special medical machine.
Harry looked a little nervous because the needles were a little too thick. And the injection would be a lot of medicine, and it would probably be painful.
"Don't be nervous, Harry. You have to trust your father. I think he has made all the plans for you." Jason comforted Harry.
Huh~ha, Harry took a deep breath and nodded to indicate that they could start.
Under Peter's command, Jason put a feeding mask on Harry and a brace to prevent him from biting his tongue.
All life monitors are also connected to monitor Harry's vital signs at all times.
"Everything looks normal." Peter walked back and forth around all the important machines. He wanted to confirm that all the machines were working properly.
All the readings were correct, as neither of the two people present expected Harry to have an accident due to his own mistakes.
Harry signaled to the two with his eyes, indicating that he absolutely trusted them.
After making sure everything was normal, Peter pressed the button to start the syringe. The serum, which had already been in place, slowly pierced Harry's skin and entered his blood vessels under Peter's pressure.
The golden serum mixed with other auxiliary injections was slowly being injected into Harry's body. As soon as they entered Harry's body, they were quickly absorbed by Harry.
The new genome is destroying those genomes in Harry's body that originally carried genetic diseases, and the gene chains are continuously interrupted and reconstructed.
The process looked extremely painful. Harry's eyeballs almost popped out and the veins on his forehead became clearly visible.
If he hadn't been wearing braces to prevent tongue biting, he would probably have bitten his tongue off by now.
Anesthetic injections cannot be used during this process because the instructions left by Norman specifically stated that the ingredients in the anesthetic injections would destroy the fusion of the serum and the injection.
Harry had to rely on himself to endure this painful process. Normally, when the pain reaches a certain level, humans would activate protective measures and pass out.
But there seemed to be something special in Norman's auxiliary injection, which kept Harry awake, making Harry more and more painful.
"Are the readings normal?" Jason couldn't understand the complicated readings on the machine, so he could only ask Peter for help. Because Harry's condition didn't look very good.
"Both the blood pressure and pulse are slightly elevated, but they are both within the range and have not reached the critical value." Peter's expression was very focused. "Harry may be in pain, but everything should still be within control."
At this point, they can only wait until everything is settled. Jason and Peter can only monitor the machine to avoid any accidents.
Two hours passed when Harry finally stopped feeling the pain that was tearing his body apart.
The injection of serum had been completed long ago, but the pain lasted for two hours, during which time his consciousness was in a very vague state.
When he woke up completely, he found that his clothes were all wet with sweat, even his hair was wet.
Fortunately, Peter and Jason had been giving him saline solution, otherwise he might have died of dehydration.
I really don't want to go through this kind of treatment again, Harry said to himself.
When Harry woke up, the first thing he saw was his two friends. Jason was holding a set of dry new clothes in his hand, which seemed to be for Harry to change into.
Peter was holding a dry towel, looking like he was going to wipe his sweat.
"Guys, I'm not that weak yet." Harry said with a smile, but his voice was a little hoarse.
"In my opinion, you are as weak as a baby now." Jason found that Harry had woken up, looked at his face and said.
"How do you feel now? Any discomfort?"
"Except for being a little thirsty, I don't feel any discomfort. Can you give me a glass of water? My throat is about to smoke." Harry said.
"It looks like the readings are all normal, but I'm going to draw some of your blood for comparison later. If everything is the same as the instructions Uncle Norman left, then the test should be successful."
Peter handed Harry a glass of water and said after repeatedly comparing Harry's vital signs.
Harry drank the glass of water in one gulp, took the clothes from Jason and the towel from Peter and said, "I don't think I need two people to help me change clothes now."
"Although I look a little weak, I don't feel weak at all."
As Harry spoke, he tried to prop himself up from the flat bed on the operating table. One of his hands gently pulled the stainless steel handrail on the edge of the bed.
He tried to pull himself up, but with just a slight effort, the sturdy stainless steel handrail was easily broken.
Harry looked at the broken railing in his hand with some disbelief, while Jason and Peter also looked at the broken gap.
It was as if it was pulled apart in one breath by a huge tensile machine, and the broken part was twisted and deformed.
"Yes, you don't look weak at all, but you are almost becoming a humanoid Tyrannosaurus Rex." Jason said jokingly. "We may need to do a more comprehensive examination on you."
It seems that the serum left by Norman does more than just eliminate the virus in Harry's body.
