Chapter 37: Awkward Interruptions
The dorm room was dimly lit, the faint glow from Kikidori's desk lamp casting long shadows across the walls. Toga was perched on Kikidori's lap, her hands draped over his shoulders as they exchanged soft whispers and stolen kisses. The two of them had grown closer than Kikidori ever thought possible, and every moment alone together felt like a private escape from the chaos of their lives.
As things began to escalate, Kikidori hesitated briefly. "Toga… are you sure about this?" he asked, his voice low and uncertain.
Toga's golden eyes met his, filled with a mixture of excitement and sincerity. "I've never been more sure about anything," she replied, leaning in to kiss him deeply.
Their connection was electric, and the room seemed to melt away as they became lost in each other.
And then, the door swung open.
"Hey, Kiki—OH MY GOD!"
Mina stood frozen in the doorway, her eyes wide with shock. The scene before her was impossible to miss, and her bright pink complexion somehow turned even redder.
Kikidori and Toga immediately froze, their eyes snapping to the intruder. A heavy silence filled the room, the air thick with awkwardness and embarrassment.
"M-Mina! What are you doing here?!" Kikidori exclaimed, his voice a mixture of panic and frustration.
"I—uh—sorry! I didn't know—oh my god, I didn't know!" Mina stammered, shielding her eyes with one hand while blindly reaching for the door handle with the other.
Toga, on the other hand, didn't seem fazed. She smirked mischievously, resting her chin on Kikidori's shoulder. "Well, this is awkward," she said, clearly amused by Mina's reaction.
"Mina, get out!" Kikidori shouted, his face burning with embarrassment.
"Right! I'm going, I'm going!" Mina yelped, finally managing to close the door behind her as she bolted out of the room.
The sound of her hurried footsteps echoed down the hallway, leaving Kikidori and Toga alone once more.
Toga chuckled, leaning back to look at Kikidori's flustered expression. "Well, that was fun," she teased, clearly unbothered by the interruption.
Kikidori groaned, running a hand through his hair. "Fun? That was humiliating! She's never going to let me live this down."
Toga shrugged, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. "Relax, Kiki. Who cares what she thinks? It's just us here."
Despite himself, Kikidori couldn't help but smile at her confidence. "You're unbelievable," he muttered, shaking his head.
"And you love me for it," Toga replied with a wink.
Kikidori sighed, pulling her into a hug. "Yeah… I guess I do."
