Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Yukinoshita’s Review
A Late Night of Creativity
Inside Su Yu's room, the atmosphere was quiet and focused.
On one side, Yuigahama Yui was drawing, while Su Yu was busy writing a new story that had come to mind.
It was a unique story—one that, at first glance, seemed like a typical power-gaining protagonist tale.
But it wasn't.
The main character did not have a smooth journey.
The female lead repeatedly tested him, and each test reflected his growth and shifting emotions.
The most heart-wrenching moment came when his mother was fatally injured and infected by an alien parasite.
When she returned home, he refused to accept reality and treated the monster before him as his mother—
Not because he was naïve or stupid, but because his mind couldn't process such a cruel truth.
And so, he was killed.
But—
Because of the alien parasite within him, he did not completely die.
When he revived, his first mission was to seek revenge—
Yet as he grew stronger, he also became less and less human.
In the end, he defeated the monster and tried to return to a peaceful life at school.
But the number of these creatures only continued to grow, pulling him back into conflict.
His identity was exposed, his friend confessed her feelings, and he faced powerful enemies beyond his imagination.
During an escape sequence, he took refuge in an old man's house—
But the monster was always one step behind.
He had no choice but to confront it.
His strength was too weak, and against such an opponent, he stood no chance.
Until—
He was knocked into a pile of trash, and from within the garbage, he found a way to kill the monster using discarded human waste.
A terrifyingly powerful creature, slain by human trash—
A fitting, ironic conclusion.
It was because of this message that some called it "an environmentalist anime."
But beyond that, it was a story about family, love, and the struggle for humanity.
Most importantly—
It was a complete story.
In the end, the alien within him fell into a deep slumber, and he overcame his final trial, choosing to stay with the female lead.
Meanwhile, the remaining parasites began adapting to human society.
The ending was idealistic, but the story suggested that these creatures were capable of emotions—
Implying that coexistence was possible.

Late Night: Yui's Sleep Test
After a few hours, Su Yu finished writing.
He turned to check on Yui, only to find that she had fallen asleep.
Su Yu stood up and approached her desk.
There, he found several character sketches—
Each one adorably drawn.
Satisfied, he nodded.
Then, he gently picked up Yui and carried her into the spare bedroom, turning on the soft bedside lamp.
This room had been prepared for guests, with everything neatly arranged.
Laying Yui down on the bed, he tucked her in and gently kissed her forehead.
"Good night," he whispered before turning off the light and leaving the room.
A few seconds later—
Yui opened her eyes, her face completely red.
She had been pretending to sleep.
She just wanted to see how Su Yu would react.
And he didn't disappoint her—
He was a gentleman.
This proved to her that Su Yu wasn't the type to be swayed just by looks or body shape.
—
Meanwhile, In the Kitchen
Su Yu stood in front of the fridge, grabbing a drink.
He had known Yui was pretending to sleep, so he hadn't done anything inappropriate.
Truthfully—
He could have taken advantage of the situation.
But—
The consequences would mean taking responsibility.
And more importantly—
It would create a moment she might not cherish.
He wasn't in a rush.
He would wait for Yui to take the initiative.

Morning: A Surprise Guest
By the time Yui woke up, sunlight was already streaming into the room.
She yawned, stretched, and changed her clothes before stepping into the living room.
And then—
She froze.
Sitting at the dining table was Yukinoshita Yukino.
For a few seconds, Yui thought she was hallucinating.
"Yuigahama-san, it's already 9 AM. I've been here since 8." Yukino stated matter-of-factly.
"Y-Yukinoshita-san?! Why are you here?!"
"I wanted to read the story as soon as possible."
Yui glanced at the stack of papers in front of Yukino.
"Last night, I told Yukino that you were staying over, so she skipped breakfast to "rescue" you." Su Yu emerged from the kitchen.
"Eh?" Yui's face turned red.
"Yui, tell Yukinoshita-san—did I do anything to you last night?" Su Yu asked as he placed three breakfast plates on the table.
"Su Yu-kun was very gentlemanly! I fell asleep, and he even carried me to bed." Yui explained quickly.
"How do you know he didn't do anything to you while you were asleep?" Yukino questioned.
"…I…"
"Yukinoshita-san," Su Yu interrupted, "even if I did do something, Yui would forgive me. So, let's drop it before I start describing my exact thoughts from last night. If I do, you'll probably just glare at me with those cold eyes of yours."
Yukino's eyes immediately turned icy as she shot him a glare.
Su Yu ignored it.
"Yui, I bought new toiletries for you. They're in the bathroom."
"Mm!" Yui nodded quickly and escaped to the bathroom.
"Please, have a seat, Yukinoshita-san." Su Yu gestured toward the table.
After a moment's hesitation, she walked over and sat down.
She didn't start eating right away—
Instead, she waited for Yui to return.
Su Yu sat across from her—keeping the same distance they had in the Service Club.
Soon, Yui returned, taking a seat beside Yukino.
With that, the three of them began eating breakfast.
—
Reviewing the New Story
After breakfast—
Yukino helped wash the dishes.
Then, as they prepared to leave, they noticed a car parked outside—
Hiratsuka Shizuka's car.
Since Yui needed to go home and change, they headed toward the Yuigahama house.
On the way—
Su Yu asked Yukino for her thoughts on the new story.
"It's a complete story. On the surface, it's about alien parasites, but in reality, it's a commentary on human destruction of the environment. It also captures themes of family and love exceptionally well."
Yukino spoke her analysis thoughtfully.
Yui, who hadn't read it yet, blinked in curiosity.
From what Yukino was saying, the new story seemed profound.
"This is a story that can be interpreted in many ways. Your understanding isn't wrong." Su Yu nodded in approval.
"This would make for a compelling anime. But… why do all your stories have a sense of loss?"
Yukino's eyes met Su Yu's.
She was referring to the death of the female supporting character—
A character who, in many ways, left an even stronger impression than the protagonist.
