Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Marry Yui Tomorrow

In front of Yuigahama Yui's room, Su Yu stood quietly, waiting for her.

She was probably tidying up some things or organizing her clothes. That was understandable—after all, whether male or female, most people would want to clean up their room before letting someone they like inside.

A few minutes later, Yui opened the door.

"Sorry to keep you waiting."

"It's fine. If you came to my place, I'd also take a moment to clean up." Su Yu replied softly.

"P-please… come in." Yui stepped aside to make space for him.

Su Yu entered the room.

Her room was actually quite simple—similar in layout to his own, yet it had a distinctly different atmosphere. A girl's room always had a touch of cuteness.

He sat down at the low table, glancing around.

"My room is pretty plain, right? Maybe even a bit boring?" Yui sat down beside him.

"A simple room is easier to clean." Su Yu withdrew his gaze and looked at her instead.

"I… I'll go make some tea." Yui, feeling shy under his stare, quickly got up.

"No need, I'm not thirsty." Su Yu reached out and held her small hand.

Yui's face instantly turned red.

"Actually, I was just thinking—you probably have a plushie near your pillow, and you hug it when you sleep." Su Yu glanced at her bedside, but there was nothing there.

"I used to have one," Yui laughed awkwardly. "Back in middle school, I gave it to a relative's kid. I thought it'd be childish for a high schooler to still sleep with a plushie…"

"I think it's cute." Su Yu leaned in slightly.

"I-I'm not cute at all…" Yui turned her head away in embarrassment.

"I think you're very cute. You're exactly my type. And also… Yui's figure is—"

"S-Su Yu-kun! What are you thinking?!"

Hearing the word "figure," Yui's ears turned crimson.

"I'm thinking of something indecent," Su Yu whispered in her ear.

Yui turned back, finding herself face-to-face with him, their distance dangerously close.

Su Yu reached out, lifting her chin.

Yui's heartbeat quickened—she knew exactly what was supposed to happen next.

And so…

She closed her eyes.

But the kiss she expected never came. Instead, Su Yu gently let go of her chin.

Confused, Yui opened her eyes.

"When we go on our next date, I'll find a more romantic place to kiss you." Su Yu smiled.

A warm sweetness filled Yui's heart, and she rested her head on his shoulder.

A few seconds later, she suddenly seemed to remember something and leaned close to his ear.

"I've never kissed anyone before."

"I haven't either."

Su Yu looked at her seriously.

Hearing this, Yui's smile became even sweeter—she believed him completely.

"Can I see your photo album?" Su Yu noticed the picture frame on her desk and remembered that people often kept albums.

"I'll go get it." Yui stood up, walked to her desk, and pulled open a drawer.

She glanced at Su Yu, then at a diary inside. That diary recorded the process of her meeting and gradually falling for him.

Yui smiled softly. She decided that once their relationship was official, she would let Su Yu read it.

She took out her album and returned to his side.

Su Yu flipped through the pages.

In her childhood photos, Yui looked a little timid, often standing behind her mother, Yuigahama Asuna.

During elementary school, she started smiling more.

By middle school, it was clear she was different from most girls—yet, other than class group photos, she had very few pictures with friends.

This meant that in both elementary and middle school, Yui didn't have particularly close friends.

When he reached the last pages, he found a purikura (sticker photo) of Yui with Miura Yumiko and Ebina Hina.

"Do you want to stay friends with them forever?" Su Yu asked.

"Mm." Yui nodded. "Yumiko and Hina are really nice to me. I feel really happy to have them as friends, and I hope we can always stay that way."

Su Yu observed her expression and remained silent.

Their relationship was slightly different from the anime. In this world, Miura Yumiko seemed to care more about her friends.

"I'd be happy if I could become friends with Yukinoshita-san, too," Yui added.

"Then let's stick some photos of you guys here—along with ours." Su Yu pointed at the empty spaces in her album.

"Yeah." Yui nodded happily.

"Speaking of the game script, Yui… I think I just figured out what to write." Su Yu glanced at a poster on her wall, a faint smile appearing on his lips.

Yui followed his gaze.

"Magical girls?"

At the Yuigahama Family Dinner Table

Su Yu sat before a plate of curry.

He had previously cooked curry for Yui and the others, and they had praised it as delicious.

But the curry made by Mrs.Yuigahama carried a different warmth. Just the aroma alone made him feel at ease.

"Su Yu-kun, try it," Asuna said with a smile.

Su Yu nodded, picked up his spoon, and took a bite.

A few seconds later, he looked up at Mrs.Yuigahama across the table.

"This has a very comforting taste… If my mother were still here, I think she would've made something like this."

"Eh?" Mrs.Yuigahama blinked in surprise and turned toward Yui for an explanation.

Yui understood what Su Yu meant. She reached out and held his hand gently.

"Su Yu-kun, if you ever want to eat home-cooked meals, you can come over anytime."

"I was just making an observation. I'm not sad, so don't worry about me." Su Yu said softly.

"I-I'll learn how to cook, too! That way, you can try my curry one day." Yui tightened her grip on his hand, looking at him earnestly.

"Then you should learn how to make miso soup as well."

"Mm! I'll learn everything—if you like it, I'll make it for you." Yui's eyes shone with determination.

"Yui, this makes me so happy." Mrs.Yuigahama looked touched. "I've tried teaching you to cook before, but you never wanted to learn. And now, you finally do."

"M-Mom…" Yui blushed.

Then, Mrs.Yuigahama turned to Su Yu, smiling playfully.

"Su Yu-kun, are you planning to marry Yui in college? What are your future plans? There's no rush to get a house—you could live here, and I'd even help take care of your kids."

"Um… actually, I own an apartment." Su Yu said quietly.

"An apartment?" Mrs.Yuigahama looked surprised.

"If I rent out all the units except my own, I'd probably make around four million yen per year." Su Yu explained.

Hearing this, Mrs.Yuigahama's eyes lit up.

"Su Yu-kun—marry Yui tomorrow!"
