On Mount Paozu, Jiang Chen looked down with a curious expression on his face. Below, two figures were training. One was Kakarot (Son Goku), his small frame instantly recognizable, but the other figure was Raditz. Though Jiang Chen could see the discomfort on Raditz's face, he was indeed following Kakarot's lead in training.
"No, no!"
"Brother Raditz, Grandpa said you need to stay calm and focused."
"You're doing it wrong!"
The little Saiyan kept offering corrections, making Raditz's expression even more strained as he listened.
Watching the scene, Jiang Chen couldn't help but find it amusing and he couldn't help but shook his head.
Then, without hesitation, he descended from the sky.
As Jiang Chen landed, little Goku was the first to notice him and his eyes sparkled as he spoke.
"Aspara Nii San!" Little Goku grinned brightly as he greeted Jiang Chen.
"Aspara!" Following Goku's excited call, Raditz also turned to see Jiang Chen, his face filled with surprise.
He hadn't sensed Jiang Chen's arrival at all.
"Here, little Goku, this is a small gift for you." Jiang Chen smiled and handed over a four-star Dragon Ball.
Of course, at the moment, it was just an ordinary stone orb.
He had come across it on his last journey and thought it was perfect for Goku.
"So round!"
"Thanks!"
Goku's eyes gleamed as he eagerly accepted it.
"Raditz, what do you think? Was I right?"
After handing over the Dragon Ball, Jiang Chen turned to Raditz with a smirk, his tone playful.
Raditz opened his mouth but had no rebuttal.
Over the past few months, he had witnessed Elder Son Gohan's training methods firsthand.
Although he still put on an unconvinced front, deep down, he had to admit he was impressed.
"Aspara, you're back."
"Come on, it's time to eat."
"Goku, Raditz, come inside."
As the two conversed, Gine stepped out of the house. Upon seeing Jiang Chen, her face lit up with a warm smile.
"Alright, Gine Oba San!" Jiang Chen nodded in response.
"Food!" Little Goku cheered before dashing straight into the house.
Jiang Chen chuckled before following, with Raditz trailing behind.
Inside, three large tables were piled high with food.
Fortunately, Mount Paozu was a vast and untamed wilderness, teeming with game and edible plants. Otherwise, feeding Saiyans would have been a daunting task.
At the table, the Saiyans devoured their meals with enthusiasm.
Once they had eaten their fill, Jiang Chen turned to Gine.
"Gine Oba San, in a few days, I plan to head into space."
His words made both Gine and Raditz freeze.
"You're going into space?" Gine asked, feeling surprised.
"Yes. Bardock Oji San… while he's not in immediate danger, he's been thrown over a thousand years into the past. I want to see if there's a way to bring him back. And I need to train in space to grow stronger." Jiang Chen explained after a brief pause.
"Aspara, take me with you. I'll go too." Raditz spoke up immediately.
"Aspara, there's no need to rush. As long as Bardock is safe, that's enough." Gine interjected with concern evident in her voice.
"Gine Oba San, don't worry. I'll be fine. Besides, I need to increase my strength. Frieza won't leave us in peace."
Jiang Chen reassured her before turning to Raditz.
"Brother Raditz, you should stay on Earth. There are advanced martial arts techniques here that you haven't mastered yet. Once you do, then you can join me."
With that, he directly refused Raditz's request.
Though Raditz's power had improved, he was still lacking. After months of training, he had barely reached a battle power of 15,000— far from enough for Jiang Chen's current objectives.
Moreover, the best path for Raditz was to fully grasp Earth's ki training methods.
Following Goku's martial path would be his best bet.
Raditz opened his mouth but ultimately remained silent.
Gine, seeing her son's silence, didn't know what to say.
Meanwhile, little Goku was still happily stuffing food into his mouth.
"Aspara, I know you've already made up your mind. But be careful." Gine sighed before nodding in understanding.
"Don't worry, Gine Oba San." Jiang Chen gave her a reassuring smile.
Soon, everyone finished their meal.
Gine cleaned up, while Jiang Chen, Raditz, and Goku stepped outside.
"Raditz, you need to shift your mindset."
"It will drastically improve your strength."
"In a few years, take Goku to Kame House. There's a top-tier martial arts master there who can teach both of you valuable skills."
"And don't forget about the Guardian of Earth. He's incredibly powerful. Seek his guidance if you can."
Jiang Chen advised while Raditz listened carefully.
Then, after a moment, he looked at Jiang Chen seriously.
"Are you going after Frieza?"
His sudden question caught Jiang Chen off guard.
"Planet Vegeta… it was Frieza who destroyed it, wasn't it?"
Raditz asked softly, watching Jiang Chen's reaction.
"You know?"
Jiang Chen looked at him in surprise.
"Don't give me that look. I'm not an idiot. The way you've spoken about it, it was obvious. Besides, how could an asteroid wipe out an entire planet so suddenly?"
Raditz clenched his fists, his voice filled with frustration.
"For now, just follow my plan."
"And no, I'm not going after Frieza directly. We're nowhere near his level."
Jiang Chen shook his head, answering in a calm tone.
"How is that possible? Your battle power should be over 30,000 by now. With the Great Ape transformation, that's ten times stronger! Even then, you can't win?"
Raditz's eyes widened in shock.
"No."
"And don't rely too much on the Great Ape transformation. That's not true power. Even against weaker enemies, you could still lose control and be defeated, let alone against someone like Frieza."
Jiang Chen sighed, shaking his head again.
"Stronger…?"
Raditz barely processed the first part, but Jiang Chen's last statement made his pupils contract sharply.
Jiang Chen had over 30,000 in battle power. With the Great Ape transformation, that should have been over 300,000.
Even then, Frieza was still stronger?
Even after experiencing Frieza's power firsthand, the thought sent shivers through Raditz's body.
"Exactly, so focus on your training."
Jiang Chen nodded, then ruffled little Goku's hair.
"Aspara Nii San, are you leaving?" Goku tilted his head, looking up at him with curiosity.
"Yeah. When I return, I'll bring you a present." Jiang Chen smiled.
"Alright, Aspara Nii San is the best!" Little Goku's eyes sparkled with excitement as he grinned brightly.
Jiang Chen remained on Mount Paozu for three days, using the time to train both Raditz and little Goku in martial arts techniques.
When it was time to leave, he bid farewell to Gine and her family, then ascended into the sky.
Moments later, he reached the ancient Saiyan pod he had arrived in.
Stepping inside, he quickly activated the controls.
"Set course for Planet Yardrat!"
As the system hummed to life, Jiang Chen deftly adjusted the navigation settings.
"Boom!"
The pod rumbled as it powered up.
In a flash, it shot through the sky like a streaking comet, vanishing beyond the clouds.
Atop the Lookout, Kami (Piccolo) observed the departing pod, his expression subtly easing.
Though three off-world warriors had appeared on Earth, Jiang Chen's presence had weighed on him the most.
Now that he had departed, the lingering tension in the air had lightened—though the remaining two were still beyond his current strength.
"Kami." Mr. Popo's calm voice interrupted his thoughts.
"What is it, Mr. Popo?" Kami turned to face him, curiosity evident in his tone.
"The seal has been restored." Mr. Popo stated simply.
"Good, good!"
"You've done well, Mr. Popo."
Kami nodded in approval.
