max in Pokemon

Max and Skyla were in the waiting room.

Waiting for meloetta to finish talking with the riolu to pass the time max was talking about training Skyla early since that tournament is only 3 days away so of course her Pokemon are going to be training too but there fighting themselves without Skyla giving them orders.

Skyla was a bit apprehensive about her actuality fighting but she did agree to it.

But then he sensed meloetta coming and she wasn't alone.

He saw a riolu being dragged into the waiting room by meloetta which to normal people seemed like he was running in an odd way.

Max saw the riolu looking around and he walked up to him and told him to follow him.

And he can tell that riolu didn't seem to trust him but that was a minor problem.

They got to the fighting club building that was kinda like a Pokemon center but not as much if it isn't obvious by the name.

In the room of max and Skyla riolu and max were staring at each other max with indifference,riolu with a serious look.

Riolu: you are max right?

Max: yup that's my name.

Riolu: I appreciate that you helped me however I have way too many bad experiences with humans so I don't trust you and let me make this clear if you do anything to harm me I'm leaving.

Max:ok.

Riolu just blinked at his simple response.

Riolu: ok? That's it?

Max: what? Did you want me to give you some big speech? You have your conditions for staying with me and I'm not going disrespect your boundaries.

Riolu: g-good then. Glad that we came to an agreement.

Max: welp good to know that you are alive at least but now the real thing is going to start now.

Meloatta and riolu who weren't around didn't know what he meant.

They were walking around a forest to look for a training spot riolu and Meloatta were talking and Skyla decided to ask the big question.

Skyla: hey max how can you understand Pokemon?

Max: like how I understand you? What do they soundly to you?

Skyla: well they soundly there saying there name.

To max that was the stupidest way for different species to miss communicate whoever is the god of this if there even is a god is either high or an idiot.

Somewhere in the universe arceus felt insulted for some reason.

Max: so to you they are just repairing there name?

Skyla: yeah and many scientists tried to find a way for Pokemon and humans to understand each other vocally but nothing came up.

Max gave it some thought and the reason he probably understands them is because of spiritual energy allowing him to see spiritual beings and the same things can be applied here.

Perhaps it's because of the change in cognition in the brain when spiritual energy is activated but he wasn't the scientist here.

Max: I really don't know. But maybe I'll try something.

Skyla: that is?

Max: later.

They finally found a spot to train and it had a small lake Skyla got out her Pokemon and she told them about there training plan at first they weren't up to seeing there trainer get hurt but she convinced them that she will be fine.

The Pokemon got to fighting each other and Meloatta decided to train riolu personally since she herself can turn into a fighting type pokemon.

As for max and Skyla he was teaching her the basics of throwing a punch it wasn't just throw a punch it and you win.

Max decided to test out her stamina so he told her to try and land a hit on him.

She tried to hit him multiple times but like a shadow he was fast and swift but during the chase max tripped her and pulled her arm and put her head in the ground putting her in a lock.

He told her to watch her own footwork since fighting isn't about throwing punches your footwork needed to be good.

So he taught her some foot work trick and she got the hang of it.

Hours passed with the sounds of fighting and it was dusk and both the Pokemon and Skyla were tired aside from max who barely worked up a sweat and riolu and Meloatta who could last longer thanks to them being fighting types there bodies can handle more strain.

Max decided to give them a break he got out some food he bought and some cold water.

Skyla both drank and ate like her life depended on it.

She worked hard to be a trainer but this was a different type of training all together.

Skyla: I've never been so tired before.

Max: that just show how untrained you are your body is strong but a Pokemon can easily kill you.

Skyla: don't rub salt on my wounds.

Max bit down on a sandwich that he bought he saw meloetta back in her area form.

tired and being held by a barely sweaty riolu his legs gave out and they both crashed on the ground but meloetta seemed to be enjoying the moment.

Skyla's Pokemon helped them to get to were there meals were served.

Skyla: hey max you said that you wanted to try something?

Max: oh yeah. Hold still for a moment.

Max touch Skyla's shoulder and he poured some spiritual energy on her not enjoying to awake her own spiritual energy but enough that she will be feeling a small feeling of change.

Skyla felt a warm feeling in her body but it felt like it was effecting her own soul she felt that here senses expanded a little and her vision was improved.

She heard voices and she turned and she was actually understanding what her Pokemon were saying she couldn't believe her own ears.

Max: can you hear them?

Skyla: yes. Yes I can but how what did you do?

Max: well better than explaining i will show you.

Max held out his palm and black spiritual energy danced around his hand and Skyla was watching with wide eyes.

Max: I transferred some of my spiritual energy into your body and it looks like when someone from this world has spiritual energy there senses become more enhanced and there preconditions is changed a bit to see and hear things normal people can't.

He put his hand on his chin and put together a theory.

Max: I guess that's why I'm able to understand Pokemon while you can't my sense of cognition is somewhat different but yours was normal until now.

Skyla looked at her hand and she felt her body somewhat stronger too but this really made her curious on what max was talking about why did he sound like he was talking like he wasn't part of the world.

Skyla: max tell me the truth what are you? You keep talking like are not from here.

Max let out a sigh of defeat.

Max: because I'm not.

Skyla: huh?

Max explained that he was from another world were Pokemon don't exist but instead they have exorcist and spirits and how humans in his world are stronger than normal people.

To say Skyla was shocked was an understatement and one hand she didn't believe him but the black arms his fighting techniques and his views make so much sense so she had no choice but to believe him.

She of course asked him why was he here and he explained that he was investigating some missing people and he found the guy but he sent him to another world completely.

Skyla: this is just unbelievable. Do you have a way to go back.

Max: obviously no the multiverse theory was never confirmed until now. So remember how I told that my main objective is not of your business?

Skyla nodded.

Max looked up to the dusky sky hoping that one day he can go home.

Max: I plan to find a Pokemon or something that could break the dimensional barrier and hopefully get home.

Skyla: and what will you do if you do if you get back.

Max sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose obviously stressed.

Max: I don't know I really don't know and that's the problem who knows what's going on in my world for all I know years have already passed and everyone I know is dead or they probably forgot about me.

He looked at Skyla with a defeated look.

Max: you know every time I look at your red hair you remind me of my best friend and brother figure.

Skyla: really? What's there name?

Max: Peter he was the first friend I made when I became an exorcist and he has quite the character and I love him for it.

Skyla: hey that story of you being on the streets is that true?

Max: of course it is no way I could forget about those days of me being a street rat.

Skyla: so this exorcist job is it good?

Max: well if you work for them or have connections with them you get financial backing and it pays well but I don't care about money I care about my family.

Skyla and max were in a silence and Skyla looked at max and remembered that he his plan for going home so she stood up and stood in front of max who was confused.

Skyla: I'm going to help you and I'm calling my grandpa to close the gym and just hand out badges.

Max was wide eyed at this he stood up and was about to try and stop her but Skyla stopped him.

Skyla: I know you don't want to get involved in your problem but I want to help go home and honestly being a gym leader can sometimes be exhausting you all i am is a stepping stone for other trainers and a part of me still wants to explore the world as free as the wind.

Skyla grabbed max's hand in a soft grip to show her support.

Skyla: I know that you don't want me to get hurt but honestly you need someone other than meloetta to talk to and you need people to rely on you are not alone max.

Max was looking down and had some tears in his eyes he wasn't expecting this girl who he thought was just an innocent airhead actually giving him a lot of support she is just like Peter.

The red haired who always has his back.

He wiped his face and looked at Skyla with a smile.

Max: you're crazy you know that?

Skyla smile back at him.

Skyla: and you are a grump but I'm used to it.

They both sat down but she grabbed his hand again to get his attention.

Skyla: I mean It when I say it I will help you go home.

Max: thanks it means a lot that someone other than meloetta wants to help me.

Another moment of silence came until Skyla looked at her hand and once again felt that spiritual energy in her body.

Skyla: sssoo can you teach me how to control this spiritual energy?

The next two days were the same but both Skyla's Pokemon and herself are getting stronger and she was adapting surprisingly well she hasn't landed a hit on him though but still it's progress.

It was now the day of the tournament and Skyla was somewhat sore but she was excited to enter but to her surprise and riolu and Meloatta max actually wanted to join but like with her he isn't going to use Pokemon.

His reason? to let loose he said that he was getting somewhat bored and he said that he wanted a challenge.

In a way she couldn't blame him but at the same time he will get a lot of attention.

He said that he didn't care what they thought and went for it anyway.

Riolu was of course stunned that he actually wanted to face against Pokemon but meloetta just said that he is in for a surprise.

There was a lot of people and trainers Skyla and him got assigned to the tournament as a trainer.

Yesterday she called her grandfather and let him know that the gym is gonna closed retiring because she was back to becoming a trainer again of course her grandfather was shocked but when she explained the situation except for max's origins to him so now he is mostly handing out badges since there no point in batting in a gym that is currently in retirement.

Max wasn't listed as a trainer since he wasn't in the program but thanks to Skyla convincing them they allowed him in.

And boy this is going to a big surprise for the Pokemon world.
