"If that's the case, then there's naturally no problem."
Hearing Snape's reply, George nodded without hesitation.
He had gone to all this trouble precisely for this purpose.
From Lockhart, he could only learn the Memory Charm; everything else he taught was a mess. For anything regarding Dark Arts, he still needed to approach Snape.
And an individual tutoring session every week—this was akin to becoming Snape's closed-door disciple. Over time, once a bond was formed, becoming his adopted son wasn't out of the question either.
Shamelessness conquers all. To improve his strength, having an adopted father was not out of the question.
Seeing George agree so readily, Snape was also momentarily stunned. He inexplicably felt as though he had been played, but after a moment's thought, it seemed unimportant. His own House had produced a genius, and he was naturally willing to show more favoritism.
After notifying Snape, Madam Hooch led George back to the lawn outside the castle.
As soon as George returned, he was surrounded by young wizards, all asking what Madam Hooch had taken him for.
He didn't hide everything. He directly stated that he had met Head of House Snape and had been exceptionally admitted to the Slytherin Quidditch team, but he didn't mention the tutoring.
This answer naturally caused an uproar among the young wizards. The Slytherin young wizards immediately looked smug, while the Gryffindor young wizards were somewhat dejected.
"I thought I could beat him in flying class, but I never expected to lose even there."
Ginny sighed, looking at George, who was surrounded.
Colin, on the other hand, showed no dejection. He raised his camera and took photos:
"It can't be helped. He's George, and he works really hard. I heard he's the last one to leave the common room every night, and he's also our friend."
"You're right too. At least it's George, not someone else."
Ginny's face also broke into a smile.
George wasn't just slightly better than them; he was comprehensively superior and worked just as hard. It was truly difficult to feel jealous.
After flying class, Madam Hooch watched George walk away with the other young wizards towards the Great Hall. She collected all the broomsticks with her wand and couldn't help but murmur:
"No, I must speak to Bagman about this. Perhaps we can turn around our standing in international Quidditch this year."
Ludo Bagman, the current Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports at the British Ministry of Magic, was also a former Quidditch team senior she knew before she retired to teach at Hogwarts.
For years, the English Quidditch team had been almost consistently losing, nearly at the bottom of international Quidditch teams.
If a once-in-a-millennium talent like George joined, perhaps they could turn around the English Quidditch team's current situation.
As for George being young and still in school.
Recently, at Durmstrang Institute, a fifth-year student named Viktor Krum had been exceptionally admitted to the Bulgarian Quidditch team due to his prodigious talent as a Seeker. George could naturally be too.
She believed George's talent in Quidditch was definitely above Viktor Krum's.
"George joining the Slytherin team will be a good reason for Bagman to come and witness this year's Hogwarts Quidditch match in person."
In the evening, news of George's exceptional admission to the Slytherin team spread throughout the school, including the high-difficulty maneuvers he had performed in flying class.
Many young wizards obsessed with Quidditch were very familiar with those famous maneuvers.
This also elevated George's prestige even further within Slytherin and the entire school.
Even the older Slytherins spoke to him with increased politeness.
Of course, not all Slytherins were happy about this, such as Malfoy, who had just spent a small fortune by his father to barely get into the team.
But clearly, he could do nothing but sulk.
Time quickly moved to Saturday. Early that morning, George was called by Snape; he was to have a tutoring session.
A tutoring session every Saturday morning—this was what he had promised George.
"I'm teaching the Blasting Curse now. This is a basic spell, but don't underestimate basic spells. If used well, basic spells can unleash greater power than advanced ones.
Like this Blasting Curse, if used well, it can even repel a dragon..."
Under Snape's strict yet incredibly detailed guidance, George truly gained a deeper understanding of Dark Arts and magical combat.
He used to think that the Killing Curse and the Fiendfyre curse were the most powerful spells: one guaranteed death upon impact, the other had an extremely wide area of effect and could even burn down an entire city.
But through Snape's explanations, he realized that this wasn't the case. Different scenarios and different enemies meant that the most suitable spell was always the strongest spell.
Sometimes, the Killing Curse and the Fiendfyre curse might even be less effective than a basic spell.
---
Facing small and agile enemies, the Killing Curse might not hit at all, requiring the wider-area but less powerful Freezing Charm.
And for highly magic-resistant magical creatures like dragons, even being hit by the Killing Curse or Fiendfyre wouldn't be a big deal. Instead, the Conjunctivitis Curse, which targeted the eyes, could be very effective.
The Blasting Curse was the same. Because it used magical power to create a forward physical air pressure attack, even high magic resistance couldn't make one immune.
A Blasting Curse cast by a master like Dumbledore could indeed directly send a dragon flying.
In the afternoon, Snape personally took George to the Quidditch pitch outside the castle.
However, at the pitch, there seemed to be not only the Slytherin team but also the Gryffindor team, and the situation was clearly not right.
The Slytherin team members were all doubled over with laughter. Captain Flint was bent over, supporting himself with his new broom, while Malfoy was on all fours, pounding the ground with his fists.
On the other side, all the Gryffindor team members were gathered around Ron, along with Hermione and Colin, who was taking pictures with his camera. Ron was continuously spewing out bright, shiny slugs.
"What's going on?"
Snape asked, his face grim.
Seeing Snape appear, the Slytherin team members immediately straightened up in fright. Captain Flint quickly said:
"Head of House, I brought the slip you approved to the pitch, but Wood wouldn't let us have it. And Ron Weasley from their second year took the opportunity to attack Malfoy, but he didn't use the spell correctly, and it rebounded onto himself."
"Today the pitch belongs to the Slytherin team. Ron Weasley used magic to attack a fellow student in school. Ten points from Gryffindor."
Snape delivered the punishment expressionlessly. Then, upon seeing Harry, who was responsible for Ron, he immediately added with undisguised disgust:
"Potter, you were right next to Ron. Why didn't you stop him? Do you think his mistake makes you look good? Another ten points from Gryffindor!"
Harry, already looking disgruntled because Gryffindor had lost points, was completely stunned by Snape's words.
George, seeing this, couldn't help but twitch his mouth. Honestly, he felt somewhat sorry for Harry.
But there was no helping it. What could he do? You weren't Harriet.
