Chapter 128: Chapter 128
Ultimately, Kurohane couldn't escape the oppression of the little female tyrannosaurus. Captain Marvel in the comics possessed astonishing combat power. She was practically a human-shaped Infinity Stone, or more precisely, she had directly absorbed the power of the Infinity Stones. Therefore, even if Kurohane used the Reality Stone, he couldn't alter realities concerning her.
However, after rounds of punches and kicks, Carol Danvers gave up on continuing to beat Kurohane. Danvers, who had saved many Universes, knew the power of the Kamar-Taj sorcerers well. As long as Kurohane was unwilling, she would never be able to leave this Mirror Dimension on her own, and Kurohane's current state was rather... askew!
Kurohane had now transformed into a small, three-headed child, wearing a yellow vest and shorts. His hair was styled in buns, adorned with two gourd leaves and small yellow gourds. Then, with one hand on his hip, he pointed at the somewhat bewildered Danvers with the other.
"Hey! Monster! If you have the guts, keep fighting! It tickles, it tickles!"
Kurohane (inwardly): "Actually, I don't want to, but circumstances are stronger than people!"
Kurohane's current appearance was the spitting image of a reborn Sanwa! After using the Ao Bai character experience card, the progress bar for [Camouflage Master] also reached ten percent. It successfully unlocked a new effect, which allowed him to choose one of the character experience cards he had previously used to disguise himself. This choice was irreversible. He could only use [Camouflage Master] to disguise himself as a fixed character, and he wouldn't be able to change it later! If he wanted to disguise himself as someone else, it was simple: just keep upgrading this skill.
Furthermore, the duration of this camouflage was unlimited, but there was one condition... That is, he had to retain the complete character appearance "skin," as if he had used some kind of transformation magic. Once he voluntarily removed this appearance skin, the character experience effect would vanish, and it would enter a 24-hour cooldown period.
In order not to be beaten to death by Danvers' humiliating iron fists, Kurohane very wisely chose Sanwa, who was the most resistant to beatings. As a result, it turned into a one-sided beating. It wasn't that Kurohane didn't want to fight back, but he simply couldn't. He had put away his Infinity Gauntlet and armor when he was showing off earlier, and now he couldn't even take out the Infinity Gauntlet. "One can only say that everything is the choice of Steins;Gate of destiny; if you fail to show off, you will be slapped in the face!"
The only thing worth celebrating was that Kurohane currently felt no pain even when he was slapped in the face. Sanwa's Steel Bones skill was a concept-level skill, incredibly useful!
Kurohane stared at the somewhat tired Danvers, put his hands on his hips, and laughed to the sky. "Hehehe, I can be beaten by you like this all day long."
Danvers looked at him with a bewildered gaze mixed with a hint of disbelief. Her expression hardened. "Being able to take a beating shouldn't make him so arrogant! But even if he were a piece of Adamantium, he should have been hammered out of shape, yet he didn't even cry out in pain. Is this why this Universe deviated from the Sacred Timeline?"
"So you insist on not giving me those two Infinity Stones, right?" Danvers asked, her tone hardening, demanding an answer.
"Things hidden by sorcerers can only be found by sorcerers. I suppose you know this too. What can you do to me if I don't hand them over?" Although Kurohane spoke with great confidence, his artistic style was too childish. No matter how you looked at it, he didn't seem very convincing and had no impressive presence at all.
Danvers' eyes darkened. She had seen many things; she had visited at least twenty Multiverses. "But this is the first time I've seen someone as troublesome as Kurohane!"
"Then are you just going to watch your world disappear? Won't you also be erased then?" Danvers challenged, trying to provoke a reaction.
"I said I would take care of the Time Variance Authority. I'm not unaware of their capabilities. Besides the Time Scissors, they are nothing. I'll disband them in minutes!" Kurohane replied, his tone filled with a strange confidence.
"You?" Danvers asked, clearly incredulous, a faint sneer on her lips.
Kurohane inwardly seethed. "Danvers' disbelief directly made me explode. Wouldn't it just be breaking the Time Variance Authority? If I can't fight them directly, can't I go back to my old profession as an undercover agent?"
Kurohane had already realized by this point that solving the Time Variance Authority problem was imminent. The main reason was that this organization shouldn't exist. "What's so great about forcefully maintaining a Sacred Timeline? If the timeline doesn't get chaotic and can only flow in a fixed direction, such a world is too boring." Kurohane knew that the Time Variance Authority was doomed when he watched the TV series Loki in his previous life. "Because this is a setting that doesn't fit American comics. American comics are where different characters will always appear. Then everyone will gather for a big battle, and when enough popular characters die, they'll restart the timeline. Or open a new timeline, otherwise, if all popular characters really die, editors and writers will receive enough razors at home every day to open a steel factory, and their personal safety will be threatened. Most importantly, it affects income!"
Plus, Kurohane also knew who the head of the Time Variance Authority was, a scientist without any superpowers. "Frankly, the people at the Time Variance Authority aren't high-level fighters. An organization that even a weak Deadpool could clean up like duck skin!"
"I'm not afraid to tell you, I have traveled extensively, relying on my ability to mix the fake with the real and take the fake as real. As long as you can send me to the Time Variance Authority, I can show you my methods. You have one day to think carefully about whether or not to trust me this time. I will come back to you after a day."
Seeing Danvers had calmed down, Kurohane secretly opened a small portal behind his back. He squeezed through, relying on his height being just enough to fit through the hole above his head. Danvers hesitated but still chose not to exit through the hole. One reason was that the portal was indeed a bit small for her; the frontal armor on her chest wouldn't allow her to pass through. The other reason was that she genuinely needed to think about whether Kurohane's idea could work.
As soon as Kurohane emerged from the portal, he was surrounded by a large group of Ravagers. All sorts of weapons and cannons of various calibers were aimed at him, their fingers trembling nervously on the triggers.
"Where did this little brat come from? Hands up!" a Ravager yelled, his voice strained.
"Do you think this little kid could be the Boss's child? He has black hair too," another asked, a bit confused.
"No way? He doesn't look like the Boss either!"
"The Boss disappeared with that woman just now. Isn't it normal to have a child by now?"
"Can it be born so quickly?"
"Our race is that fast!"
Kurohane stood there with a black face, looking down, too lazy to look at his minions' expressions. He instantly removed the Sanwa appearance skin, a brief flash of light, and returned to his original appearance.
The crowd, who had been hotly discussing, suddenly fell into a stunned silence, shocked by the transformation.
"Sorry, Boss, I didn't recognize you just now!" a Ravager stammered, cold sweat beading on his temples.
