Marvel: The Tokyo Avengers

Chapter 34: EPISODE 34: “The Sinew Jar”

🔺 "Muscle remembers. Especially when it's been stolen."

❗ Previously on Tokyo Avengers:

The team conquered Floor 2: Threadgrave Chorus — a cursed chamber of sonic warriors and bound monks.

Scarlet Onna granted peace to a former master, and the team continued upward.

But the further they climb, the more the tower feels... personal.

[Scene 1 – Climbing Into Flesh]

The stairs wind up into a chamber that pulses like a giant organ cavity.

The walls are muscled, the floor sticky with sinew.

Every surface contracts slightly — like breathing.

A massive fleshy jar-like construct sits at the center of the room — 10 meters high, bound in ritual seals, covered in kanji that scream when read.

It is the Sinew Jar — a storage chamber for the stolen muscle of cursed monks, warriors, even beasts.

ONMYO FLARE (shivering):

"This... is a collector's room. Blood Seraphim didn't just trap souls — he stole bodies."

STARWAVE (low voice):

"He's building his own gods from scraps."

Suddenly — the seals crack.

The jar splits open.

[Scene 2 – The Spawn of the Jar]

From the jar pours out three Flesh Revenants — bio-fused horrors made from different warrior types:

1. The Juggermaul

Giant fused brute made of sumo flesh, oni bones, and shattered armor

Weapon: A pillar torn from the jar, swinging like a club

Moves: Ground slams, seismic shockwaves, bone armor regrowth

2. The Ribskinner

Thin, twitchy, spider-like humanoid made from contorted archers and monks

Weapon: Bone-daggers and rib-whip

Moves: Needle leaps, piercing rushes, cartilage-shackles

3. The Howlbinder

Quadruped beast stitched with canine sinew and human tongues

Weapon: Sinew lash tail, voice-mimicry

Moves: Illusion roar (creates fake sound, not visuals), sonic pounce, throat-constrict

[Scene 3 – Avengers Strike Back]

🐺 KURO ŌKAMI vs. The Howlbinder

The beast mimics Kuro's own growl, confusing his reflexes. Its tail slams him into the wall.

Kuro activates Full Moon Surge, letting his instincts take over.

KURO ŌKAMI (snarling):

"Wanna copy a wolf? Fine. Let's see you bleed like one."

He slashes through the Howlbinder's legs, pinning it to the floor with a fang-punch and snapping its voice-box with a crunch.

🧧 ONMYO FLARE vs. Ribskinner

The creature teleports through bone cracks and stabs Renji's shoulder. He winces, blood pouring.

He chants: "Kanji of Closure: 骨 (Bone)"

A seal wraps the rib-daggers in red light, and he pulls the creature into a binding cage sigil.

ONMYO FLARE:

"You're not anatomy. You're stolen life. Time to put you back."

With a fire sigil palm-strike, he disintegrates the Ribskinner inside its own bone-cage.

🐾 NEKOBURST + STARWAVE vs. Juggermaul

The brute swings wildly, knocking columns and almost hitting Starwave mid-flip.

NEKOBURST:

"We're gonna need rhythm and claws."

STARWAVE (activating Tempo Boost):

"Then let's choreograph its funeral."

Neko distracts it with teleport bursts, cutting the backs of its knees.

Starwave builds up tempo — 3 kicks, 4 spins — and heel-smashes a tempo-blast into the brute's chest.

They team up to flip it over and stab both heels and claws deep into its core. It crashes down, breathless.

🔮 SCARLET ONNA

She watches the jar — noticing that its core is still absorbing muscle.

Blood-red thread trails are trying to form something new...

She sews a massive Warding Sigil Thread Seal in mid-air, wraps it around the jar, and channels every needle she has.

SCARLET ONNA:

"No more stolen skin. Not while I have hands."

The jar convulses, then collapses inward like a shriveling heart.

[Scene 4 – Aftermath]

The tower grows quiet.

The walls retract. For the first time, they see the blood moon shining faintly through cracks in the ceiling.

A new staircase opens.

On the wall, the name of the next trial burns in glyphfire:

🔺 FLOOR FOUR: RED MARRIAGE

STARWAVE (tense):

"Is he marrying the tower, or...?"

SCARLET ONNA (darkly):

"No. He's marrying himself to the magic. Binding it. Becoming it."
