George continued to watch over Oscorp.

At that moment, his two officers returned.

"Captain Stacy, Norman Osborn has just left Oscorp."

"Now there are only the guards patrolling the building. Do we still need to keep watching?"

The officer next to George yawned as he spoke.

Of all the duties in the police force, surveillance was probably the most boring.

George completely ignored his words and continued observing.

He had a bad feeling in his gut.

There had to be something strange going on at Oscorp.

He'd been on the force for many years and had never once failed to trust his instincts.

"If you're sleepy, you can go buy some coffee. There's still a coffee shop open nearby."

After George said that, the man simply opened the car door and went off to buy coffee.

George had told the yawning man while keeping a close watch.

Even a veteran and experienced officer like him could get sleepy during surveillance work.

Because it really was boring.

As George kept his eyes on Oscorp, a white figure landed on a light pole next to his car.

"Ruby, is this my father's car?" Gwen asked.

At that moment, she was wearing a small headset prepared by Arthur and Ruby for her.

Through it, she could communicate with Ruby, who could provide her with accurate and real-time information.

[Yes, Gwen.]

"We can't let him see me going into Oscorp—it could cause serious problems."

She knew her father's temperament all too well.

Under Ruby's guidance, she managed to enter Oscorp with ease.

A police officer who had just returned with two cups of coffee looked up and saw a figure entering Oscorp.

"Was that some kind of insect? Or a bird?"

Thanks to the experience she'd gained fighting in Miles's world, Gwen had become even more adept at using her powers.

She could now move faster and more fluidly than before.

The officer didn't even realize what had entered Oscorp.

Shrugging the thought off, the officer returned to the car.

"Captain, here you go." He handed a cup of coffee to George.

"Thanks."

Crash...

At that moment, George heard a muffled noise coming from across the street, putting him and the officer instantly on alert.

"Did you hear that too?" George asked.

The officer calmly nodded.

The two opened the doors and stepped out of the car, on high alert.

Both placed their hands on their waists, ready to draw their weapons, and slowly walked toward the alley from where the sound had come.

Soon, they discovered the source of the noise.

A manhole cover had been removed.

Or rather, it looked more like it had been smashed off by a powerful punch—there was a massive fist mark on it.

George's expression changed instantly, and he pulled his gun from his waist.

"Stay alert—the Lizard is nearby!"

"Let's call for backup immediately."

Above them, on a rooftop...

The Lizard was slowly and silently crawling along the wall, keeping out of sight.

"It's better not to create unnecessary trouble before taking the serum."

Even though he had become a lizard, his intellect remained intact.

If he attacked George and the nearby officer, a shootout would start, which in turn would attract attention from civilians and other nearby police units.

That would make it harder to infiltrate Oscorp.

After confirming the entrance route, the Lizard disappeared as well.

After Spider-Woman entered Oscorp, Ruby hacked into the security system and looped all the camera footage.

"Stay here, I need to go to the bathroom."

One of the security guards in the monitoring room said to the other.

"Go ahead, nothing ever happens here anyway."

"Ahh... what a boring job..."

[Gwen, you can go in now. I've looped the cameras.]

[The two vials of serum are stored in a freezer on the third floor.]

'Okay. Thanks, Ruby.'

[No problem.]

Although Ruby could only hack into the security system, the risk of Gwen getting caught was minimal.

Besides being able to crawl silently along ceilings, her spider-sense would alert her of any danger immediately.

Soon, she reached the second floor.

[Gwen, Peter Parker is here.]

[He just entered Oscorp.]

'Okay! We need to finish this fast.'

'Ruby, keep me updated on his location in real time...'
