Marvel: I Can Summon

Chapter 31: Chapter 31: Manhattan Demolition Workers

"No need, Wanda. Focus on practicing Psychokinesis daily and try to increase its intensity. For Chaos Magic , I'll find you a teacher later," Kyle said thoughtfully.

Though finding a suitable teacher for Wanda's abilities was no small task, Kyle had someone in mind.

The Sorcerer Supreme, Ancient One.

When Kyle first arrived in the Marvel universe, the Ancient One's ability to observe past and future events made him wary. However, he soon realized that if the Ancient One wanted to trouble him, they would have already acted.

Kyle had even sought out Kamar-Taj in Kathmandu but found no trace of it. If the Ancient One was actively avoiding detection, it would be nearly impossible to find them, even with his abilities.

"I will work hard," Wanda replied eagerly.

Her dedication contrasted sharply with Pietro's growing despair. His training under Kyle was grueling, while Wanda's seemed far less intense.

Pietro groaned internally, feeling the unfairness of the situation. Yet, he dared not voice his complaints, knowing Kyle's strict approach to discipline.

---

Two weeks passed in the blink of an eye.

On their rest day, Kyle took Wanda and Pietro out for a meal to reward their progress. The training results were especially apparent for Pietro. His speed and cognitive abilities had significantly improved, reaching an impressive 4000 meters per second, with thought processing 500 times faster than an average person.

Kyle planned to further increase Pietro's training intensity.

Unaware of Kyle's plans, Pietro was happily focused on tackling a large king crab on his plate.

After the meal, which cost Kyle $50,000, they stepped out of the restaurant.

Suddenly, a series of explosions echoed from a distance, and a towering inferno lit up the Manhattan skyline.

"What's going on?" Kyle wondered. Deciding to investigate, he turned to Wanda and Pietro.

"You two head home. I'll check out what's happening over there," Kyle instructed.

"Be careful," Wanda said, concern evident in her voice.

Kyle smiled reassuringly and made his way toward the chaos.

---

The explosion site was Broadway, one of the busiest parts of Manhattan. The streets were filled with terrified crowds, their cries and screams piercing the air.

As Kyle advanced, a car flew toward him like a missile. With a flick of his mind, it split in two, harmlessly bypassing him.

Moments later, Kyle caught sight of the source of the destruction—a massive creature nearly five meters tall with yellowish skin, sharp bone spurs along its spine, and bulging muscles.

"Abomination," Kyle muttered.

Military pickups surrounded the creature, soldiers attempting to suppress it. However, bullets bounced off its skin harmlessly. A rocket launcher was fired but proved equally ineffective, as Abomination simply shrugged off the explosion and continued its rampage.

With every step, the monster caused untold devastation, killing civilians and soldiers alike.

Kyle scanned the sky but found no sign of Banner or any helicopters. It would be several minutes before the Hulk arrived. In the meantime, countless lives were at risk.

Kyle's military background made him sympathize with the soldiers risking their lives to protect others, even in the face of such overwhelming odds.

Moreover, every life taken by Abomination was energy wasted—energy Kyle could use.

"This is the perfect time to test my latest summon," Kyle said to himself.

Summoning a double-edged dagger

with a thought, he prepared to confront Abomination head-on.
