Clark sat heavily at the dining table, staring at the two fried eggs and single slice of ham on his plate. To him, they looked like two glaring faces—locked in conflict—while he sat helplessly between them.

Shaking his head, he pushed away the hallucination, grabbed his utensils, and quickly stirred his food.

"Where are Thor and our about to start school student, Loki?"

Mike emphasized the words "about to start school."

"They're coming," Clark replied weakly.

Noticing Clark's drained expression, Gwen stuck out her tongue with a sympathetic look on her face.

Her brother had been stuck between two sisters lately...

Sigh.

Gwen let out a sigh, like a little grown-up.

"Thor!" Mike called out.

"Coming! Coming!" Thor's voice boomed from above as he dragged a zombie-like Loki down from the attic.

Loki slumped across from Clark. The two exchanged a glance and suddenly felt a little better.

Thor hung the backpack he was holding on the back of Loki's chair, then gave Loki a look full of paternal affection and sighed heavily.

"What are you doing? And what's with that look in your eyes?"

Loki bristled like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

"I just got emotional all of a sudden," Thor said quickly, then warned, "Just don't cause any trouble at school."

"What do you mean by that?" Loki snapped.

"Uh… I'm just afraid you'll get into a fight."

If the teacher ended up calling his guardians, and he had to show up as Loki's parent... Thor found the thought oddly exciting.

"Heh."

Loki snorted and began eating his breakfast.

He'd get into fights with a bunch of bratty kids?

What a joke.

Moments later, Gwen finished her breakfast and, seeing that Loki was still eating slowly, urged him,

"Hurry up or you'll miss the school bus!"

Loki barely raised an eyelid and continued eating at his own pace.

"Move it!" Thor snatched Loki's plate. "You're dragging your feet!"

Loki frowned.

"If you don't give it back, I'm not going."

Before Thor could reply, Gwen stormed over, grabbed Loki by the ear, and dragged him out of his chair.

"You're not allowed to be late on purpose!"

"Let go of me!"

Loki's face turned red with humiliation.

He, the mighty god of Asgard, was having his ear pulled by a little girl?

Gwen tightened her grip and marched toward the door.

Loki lunged at her.

But Gwen deftly dodged, twisted around, and landed a solid elbow to Loki's back, sending him stumbling.

"You little brat!"

Loki winced in pain and glared at Gwen.

Gwen smirked.

"Come on, let's fight. If you lose, you stop being late on purpose. If I lose, I'll stop bothering you."

She raised a challenging brow and beckoned him.

Loki scoffed.

"You think I'd stoop to fighting a little—"

Before he could finish, he suddenly attacked Gwen.

She caught his hand, spun around, and threw him over her shoulder in a clean judo move. Then she pinned him down with a textbook armbar.

"Aaargh!"

Loki screamed.

He had underestimated this girl.

"I give up! I give up!" he shouted, slapping the ground with his free hand.

Gwen released him and tossed his backpack at him.

"You lost. Be good now, Lo-ki little bro~"

Loki wanted to sneer, but when he moved his arm, he winced in pain and inhaled sharply.

This girl didn't hold back.

Her reflexes were faster than he'd imagined.

Next time, he'd…

Suddenly, he felt four icy stares fixed on him.

He shivered, forced a stiff smile, and hurried to pick up his backpack.

Wait a minute!

Since when was Thor siding with outsiders?!

Loki shot Thor a bitter look and ran outside.

Just you wait!

When I get my powers back, I'll make you all regret this!

Loki roared internally.

But then he remembered the video Thor had shown him—Mike's family and their terrifying combat skills…

His blazing fury instantly fizzled out like a candle in the wind.

Loki trudged behind Gwen like a scolded wife, his face dark, as they headed to the bus stop.

When they arrived, Gwen's eyes lit up.

"Luke!"

Luke, who was already waiting for the school bus, turned and smiled when he saw Gwen.

"Who's this?"

He glanced curiously at Loki.

"This is Loki," Gwen said cheerfully. "Thor's little brother. He's staying at our place and starting school with us today."

"Oh!" Luke nodded and extended a hand to Loki with a bright smile. "Hi, I'm Luke."

Loki gave him a sidelong glance, clearly uninterested.

Luke's smile faltered for a second, but he quickly recovered. He scratched his head awkwardly, then stepped back to stand beside Gwen. He gave her a look that said, What's up with him?

Gwen sighed and shrugged.

"Don't mind him. He's just a weird… kid!" she shouted deliberately at Loki.

Loki: (益)

Luke nodded and whispered,

"Don't worry. I'm not upset."

"See? Luke is so mature—unlike some people!"

Loki spun around in frustration.

"Are you guys done yet?!"

Being turned into a kid at 1,500 years old was already humiliating enough.

Now he had to go to school…

And on top of that, endure two actual children mocking him.

Loki felt like the universe was playing a joke on him.

Luke was momentarily stunned, while Gwen suddenly reached out and patted Loki on the head.

"Pat-pat. No need to go feral."

Loki's mouth twitched, and he quickly dodged away.

Then he noticed Luke watching with envy and nearly coughed up blood in frustration.

What the heck are you jealous of?!

Screech!

The school bus stopped in front of them.

"Bus is here," Gwen said.

Before she even finished speaking, Loki bolted onto the bus.

Gwen and Luke hurried after him.

Loki found an empty seat, strode over, and sat down. When the other kids on the bus turned to look at him curiously, he let out a snort and glared back at them with a cold, menacing stare.

Several kids flinched and quickly looked away.

Loki smirked in satisfaction.

Apparently, not everyone was immune to his intimidating gaze—unlike a certain annoying little girl.

Just then, Gwen plopped down next to him, and Luke sat right behind them.

Loki's triumphant smirk immediately vanished.

When will this nightmare end?

He turned to stare out the window with a long, soul-weary sigh.
